After Severing Her Emotions, the Whole Sect Was Overwhelmed with Grief - Chapter 15:
Chapter 15: A Bunch of Fools
Lin Yizhi had been standing at the rear of the group. Upon hearing Han Xiu’s words, he immediately flared up.
“You’re sending her to die, aren’t you?!”
“How could you call that sending her to die?” Han Xiu raised his eyebrows, looking down at Lin Yizhi with arrogant contempt.
“As long as she moves fast enough and runs toward the trap before the Two-Headed Python eats her, she’ll be fine.”
Although Lin Yizhi had already witnessed Bai Ying’s strength, hearing these people talk like that still filled him with fury.
What if Bai Ying weren’t that strong? Wouldn’t she be killed for sure?
Completely forgetting he had been sulking moments before, Lin Yizhi grabbed Bai Ying’s wrist and tried to walk away.
“Mystic Crystal Stones may be valuable, but if I ask my father for them, he’ll give me whatever I want. We don’t need to deal with these people.”
Seeing that Lin Yizhi was about to leave, Han Xiu stepped forward and blocked his path. He glanced at Bai Ying with disdain, then said to Lin Yizhi,
“She’s just a woman. What’s there to be so attached to?”
“Exactly!” someone from his group chimed in. “You want a woman? Once we’re out of here, we can find you dozens! Right now we need her. Don’t get sentimental.”
Han Xiu released a wave of pressure from his cultivation. He was at the mid Foundation Establishment Realm—a full level higher than Bai Ying and her group. The pressure alone was enough to overwhelm them.
Two-Headed Pythons loved to eat tender-skinned female cultivators, and there weren’t many of those in the trial. They’d finally found the perfect bait. How could they let her go?
Han Xiu sneered at Bai Ying, “Will you go yourself, or shall I send you?”
Lin Yizhi clenched his fists, on the verge of attacking. But before he could, Bai Ying snapped coldly at the group,
“Withdraw your pressure. If you don’t want to die.”
The group burst into laughter.
“What’s wrong? Scared? Can’t handle our pressure? Or are you afraid the Two-Headed Python will come out? Relax—it’s too slow to react. It’s not coming.”
Bai Ying frowned deeply.
These fools… they didn’t realize they were violating a deadly taboo.
Where there are Two-Headed Pythons, there are always Azure Flood Dragons—because the python is the flood dragon’s food.
Shouting and spreading spiritual pressure like this wouldn’t disturb the sluggish python—but it would definitely attract the Azure Flood Dragon!
And Azure Flood Dragons were far more terrifying than even the mutated Centipede King. At minimum, they were in the Golden Core Realm—way beyond what these fools could handle. Even for Bai Ying, defeating one would be extremely difficult.
If the flood dragon came, these people were as good as dead.
Bai Ying gritted her teeth. “If you keep releasing pressure, you’ll attract the Azure Flood Dragon!”
“Trying to scare us now?” Han Xiu laughed as he looked Bai Ying up and down. “I didn’t pay close attention before because I was focused on the python. But I see now—no wonder they’re so protective of you. You’re actually pretty. Tell you what, why don’t you serve me and my brothers? We’ll place a restriction on your body so the Two-Headed Python won’t eat you so easily. How about that?”
As he spoke, Han Xiu stepped toward her, amplifying his pressure to try and force her to yield.
Cultivators watching through the Mirror of Heaven and Earth erupted with rage.
Shameful! Mingyang Sect had never had such a bad reputation, but now a few scumbags had ruined it all.
Bai Ying’s frown deepened. Her divine soul was incredibly strong, and her divine sense was far beyond what any Foundation Establishment cultivator could compare to. She had already sensed an Azure Flood Dragon flying toward them.
These fools had really provoked it! And it was fast—there wasn’t even time to run.
“It’s too late!”
Bai Ying shouted, then turned to the people beside her. “Pick up stones—fast! As many as you can! Then give them all to me!”
She herself bent down and began scooping up stones.
She didn’t even have the time to deal with Han Xiu’s group anymore.
But Han Xiu wasn’t done. He grabbed her arm. “What? You wanna play a game of throwing rocks with us now?”
His followers burst out laughing. “Let’s not play with rocks just yet. Let’s start with something more fun…”
One of them reached his hand toward Bai Ying, but before he could touch her, she kicked Han Xiu straight in the chest.
She had no interest in them—but they insisted on annoying her.
“Get lost! I don’t have time to deal with you right now!”
Han Xiu was stunned. Gritting his teeth, he lunged toward her. “You b*tch! You dare kick me?!”
But before he could touch her, she smacked him with a palm strike, sending him flying.
Han Xiu’s companions also rushed at her, but Bai Ying knocked each of them down one by one with swift kicks.
Lin Yizhi and the others dropped their stones, about to rush over to help.
But Bai Ying shouted, “Don’t bother with me—just keep picking up stones! The Azure Flood Dragon is coming!”
She didn’t stop collecting stones as she shouted.
Han Xiu lay on the ground groaning, rubbing his bruised backside. When he heard her mention the Azure Flood Dragon, he laughed like he’d heard a joke.
“Again with this nonsense?”
He had the highest cultivation among them, yet he didn’t sense anything. How could Bai Ying, who was only in early Foundation Establishment, possibly sense it?
“You b*tch! You hit me and now you’re pretending there’s a dragon? You think I’ll fall for that and run away? I’m going to kill you!”
He drew his weapon.
“I gave you a chance earlier. Since you don’t know what’s good for you, don’t blame me for being ruthless.”
With a wave of his hand, he ordered, “Brothers, attack! Let’s show this b*tch what we’re made of!”
His group charged toward Bai Ying.
Behind them, a massive shadow loomed into view—but they were too caught up to notice.
They released their spiritual pressure, trying to paralyze Bai Ying and her companions.
Han Xiu even activated his weapon, preparing to trap Bai Ying with it.
He wouldn’t let this woman go!
Bai Ying and the others stood frozen in place, faces grim. Han Xiu assumed they were scared stiff. He sneered, “Even if you beg me now, I won’t spare you!”
But he didn’t realize that Bai Ying and her group weren’t looking at him. Their eyes were locked behind him—staring at what loomed in the distance.
Lin Yizhi pointed behind Han Xiu, face pale. “A-Azure Flood Dragon…”
Han Xiu burst out laughing. “Still trying to trick me? You think I’m that stupid?”
One of his men laughed along, “You’ve got them scared stiff. That acting is really convincing.”
But as he turned around mid-sentence… he froze. “Azure Flood Dragon…”
Han Xiu smacked him on the head. “You too? Stop joking around—”
“It’s real! It’s really an Azure Flood Dragon!!” The man was nearly crying.
Han Xiu frowned, turned around—and collapsed onto the ground in shock.
