Chapter 86: Why Should I Save You?

“I’ve never seen a move like that before… could it be that Bai Ying created it herself? She’s truly incredible!”

At this moment, the Spirit Ape was in such pain that it almost rolled on the ground, cold sweat pouring down its forehead as it howled madly.

This wasn’t just impressive—it was monstrous!

Beasts naturally had extremely strong bodies, and being at Nascent Soul Realm, it should have been easy for it to regenerate its injuries.

But strangely, it couldn’t regenerate at all.

Its body was being slowly corroded from within by the violent spiritual energy left by Bai Ying’s strike, rampaging wildly through its meridians.

Even if it cut off the injured part, it wouldn’t help!

This young girl was far more terrifying than it had ever imagined.

And from her calm appearance, she clearly hadn’t even used her full strength.

The Spirit Ape’s heart was filled with alarm, and without hesitation, it turned and fled frantically.

But just as it tried to escape, it slammed into an invisible wall.

“BOOM!”

It was bounced back violently.

“How is this possible?”

When had she set up a barrier right under its nose?

The Spirit Ape shouted in madness, throwing punch after punch toward Bai Ying and spewing its fire at her.

It unleashed every move it knew, desperate to tear her apart.

Yet, to its shock, Bai Ying remained calm, taking out a cauldron-shaped treasure artifact that emitted a faint glow.

With a gentle activation, the artifact produced a massive suction force, absorbing all the Spirit Ape’s flames into it without leaving a trace.

Then Bai Ying lightly waved her hand, and the cauldron sprayed the collected fire back at the Spirit Ape like a tidal wave.

“AHHH!”

The Spirit Ape screamed in agony as it was burned by its own flames.

After being fused with Bai Ying’s collected Primordial Yellow Energy inside the cauldron, the fire’s destructive power had increased severalfold.

Everyone present stared, stunned, feeling like they were dreaming.

The once-unbeatable Spirit Ape was so easily subdued by Bai Ying.

It was simply unimaginable.

The Spirit Ape looked at Bai Ying in pure terror.

It used all its strength to crash against the barrier, hoping to break free and escape death.

But the barrier was like a solid mountain.

No matter how it struggled, it couldn’t move it at all.

Bai Ying walked slowly toward it.

“Why are you running away? Didn’t you say you wanted to kill me? I’m standing right here!”

The Spirit Ape broke down in tears, kneeling on the ground.

“I’m sorry!”

It was so terrified that it could only beg for its life.

“It was all my fault! I shouldn’t have treated your companions like that! If I had known how strong you were, I would never have dared!”

Bai Ying coldly looked at it.

Whether the Spirit Ape harmed those people had nothing to do with her.

“You were wrong because you dared to attack me.”

She knew the Spirit Ape was vengeful.

If she spared it today, it would only bring endless trouble later.

She had to kill it.

Bai Ying gently waved her hand.

The fire within the cauldron condensed into a massive pillar of flame.

Guided by her hand, the fire pillar slammed fiercely into the Spirit Ape.

The anguished howls echoed through the heavens, but quickly fell silent.

The Spirit Ape, which had tormented everyone so cruelly before, was dead!

The entire area was deathly silent.

Everyone was still trying to process what had just happened.

The girl they had all looked down upon had so effortlessly killed the Spirit Ape!

Xiao Yu and Gu Qingzhou were overwhelmed with disbelief, their hearts a chaotic mess.

Xiao Yu thought back to the harsh words he had said to Bai Ying.

It felt like an invisible hand was slapping him hard across the face, burning with shame.

How dared he mock Bai Ying?

What right did he have to mock her?!

Yang Yu’s face turned ashen.

He had insulted Bai Ying the most viciously among them.

If he had known she was this strong, how would he have dared to offend her?

Now, no one dared look down on Bai Ying.

Her late Golden Core Realm cultivation was already beyond their reach, and her endless means were even more terrifying.

Yet, some people still lacked sense.

One of them even ran up to scold Bai Ying,

“You were this strong! Why didn’t you deal with the Spirit Ape earlier? Do you know how many people it burned? So many of us were tortured while you just watched!”

This person was from Radiant Sun Sect.

They were used to bossing Bai Ying around when she was still in the sect.

He spoke full of dissatisfaction.

After all, many of Radiant Sun Sect’s people, including Xiao Yu and Yang Yu, had been burned miserably.

Yang Yu’s face was now disfigured, and Gu Qingzhou had been smashed to near death.

He truly resented Bai Ying for not acting sooner.

He continued to berate her, unaware that everyone else around him was looking at him with eyes full of fear.

Suddenly, he felt a massive force gripping his throat tightly.

Bai Ying had seized his throat from a distance, squeezing it forcefully.

The strength was overwhelming, as if ready to crush him to death.

Only now did he realize, this was no longer the Bai Ying who would meekly endure their scolding.

She had already left the sect, her cultivation had soared far beyond theirs, and she could now decide their life or death with just a twitch of her finger!

What was he doing?!

“I… I’m sorry!”

The man instantly burst into tears, desperately apologizing.

He could clearly feel Bai Ying’s fingers squeezing against his artery.

A little more force, and he would be dead.

Bai Ying looked at him, then swept her gaze over everyone present.

She sneered,

“Didn’t you all say I was weak? Didn’t you say even if you all died here, you wouldn’t need me to save you? What now? Can’t win, so you come to blame me?”

Bai Ying’s voice was ice-cold.

“Why should I save you?”
