Chapter 40: Bai Pojun

“This tastes awful.”

As she ate her fruit salad, Guoguo still had no appetite. She really wanted to eat Bai Ya’s cooking—hot, freshly made dishes like steamed fish, white-cut chicken, and roasted duck. The scene stunned Guoguo.

The crowd stirred with excitement.

“Classmate Guoguo, welcome,” a handsome young man in a white suit stepped forward, holding a bouquet of flowers and offered it to her. He was none other than Bai Pojun, young master of the Bai family.

“I—I have something to do. I’ll leave now.” Guoguo turned to leave.

Bai Pojun signaled with his eyes. Two bodyguards at the door immediately shut it tight.

Guoguo sensed something was wrong. She quickly pulled out her phone to call for help.

“Classmate Guoguo, since you’re already here, why not stay and have a meal first?” Bai Pojun moved fast, snatching her phone with a gentle tone, looking at her adorable, slightly baby-fat face, her long twin ponytails, and her petite yet curvy body.

His gaze burned with desire. He had liked this girl for a long time. Before, he didn’t dare touch her because of Chen Fan’s presence. But now, Chen Fan had mysteriously vanished. No one could protect her anymore.

Tonight, no matter what, he had to have her.

“I’ll call her,” Chen Lanyi said as she dialed Guoguo’s number. But the call went unanswered the whole time.

“Could something have happened to her?” Chen Lanyi grew uneasy. Guoguo always kept her phone close. How could she not answer?

“I’ll go look for her,” Li Wanji also began to worry. With a flash, he disappeared.

Heads rolled.
