Chapter 8: Chen Fan’s Subordinate, Brother Hu

Guoguo’s eyes widened in a daze. Li Wanji had only kissed her for about five seconds before pulling away from her soft, pink lips. He smiled and said, “Alright, take it and enjoy,” then placed a box of beauty cream on the table and turned around to leave.

As the door clicked shut behind him, Guoguo suddenly burst into tears. “Wuwu… my first kiss!” she sobbed, collapsing over the table. Her delicate figure trembled with grief, pitiful and fragile.

“This bastard!” Chen Lanyi slammed her palm against the table and shot to her feet. Anger burned in her chest as she stormed down the stairs. In the kitchen, she grabbed a kitchen knife and charged toward Li Wanji.

“You bastard! Who gave you the right to touch Guoguo?!”

Li Wanji saw her coming with the knife but showed no fear. Instead, he let out a mocking laugh and said, “What? Your brother can cripple me, but I can’t even touch his woman?”

“That was between you and my brother! What does Guoguo have to do with it?!” Chen Lanyi’s grip on the knife trembled. Her silver teeth clenched tight with fury. She wanted nothing more than to cut down the man standing in front of her.

Li Wanji looked at her stunning face, his expression cold. “Sure, it was between me and your brother. But why did he go after my family? How many of my parents, brothers, and sisters died? How many were left wandering without a home?”

Chen Lanyi froze. Her chest heaved as she glared at him, anger still burning in her eyes.

Li Wanji slumped lazily on the sofa and said, “Come here and massage my legs.”

“Bastard!” Chen Lanyi cursed under her breath but still put the knife down. She walked over, knelt before the sofa, and began massaging his legs gently.

As the sister of a grandmaster, she had never suffered such humiliation. When her brother was around, she was a princess—untouchable. Now, she was being ordered around like a maid. The injustice of it made her eyes sting.

Li Wanji asked casually, “You didn’t wash the bedsheet from last night, did you?”

“I’ll wash it tonight,” Chen Lanyi huffed. There was clearly a washing machine in the house, but he refused to let her use it. He made her wash everything by hand, and every morning she had to sit on a stool in the bathroom scrubbing his clothes.
