Chapter 6: Comprehending the Sword Technique in One Glance, Shocking the World

Lin Ze’s face was full of dark lines as he cursed inwardly at whoever named this martial art.

Even a stray dog would shake its head at this level of class.

Still… this is the one!

He reached out and said, “Elder, please give me that Grass Sword Technique.”

Elder Gu Ming tried to dissuade him, “Young man, you’d best not choose that one.”

“Although the killing power of this technique is astonishing—once mastered, you can kill every ten steps and leave no survivors for thousands of kilometers…”

“It’s also extremely difficult to cultivate. I’ve guarded the Scripture Pavilion for 300 years, and I’ve never seen anyone master it.”

“Even Elder Li Wuya studied the Grass Sword Technique for eighty years and almost went insane due to cultivation deviation!”

“You’d better not—”

Lin Ze waved him off, “Perfect. I love impossible challenges!”

“I want it!”

Beside him, Er Hu clapped hard, “Nice! Holy Son, so badass! We want to ‘Screw His Mother’!”

“…”

“Sigh! Young people just don’t listen anymore,” Elder Gu Ming muttered, pulling out a sheepskin scroll from a cabinet.

“Here! This is the Grass Sword Technique that shook the entire Nine Provinces 800 years ago.”

“If you lose your mind, don’t blame me for not warning you.”

Lin Ze took it…

Alright, he couldn’t understand a word.

That dazed look made the nearby disciples sneer.

“Look at that! Another clown who thinks he can comprehend the number one sword technique in the world. Now he’s standing there dumbfounded. Haha…”

“The Grass Sword Technique is crazy. I studied it once—made me feel like stabbing everyone I saw, even my own mom…”

“Heh, overestimating himself. This technique might be powerful, but only a true genius of the sword can grasp it. And he’s just a 8th stage Martial Apprentice? Pfft…”

Lin Ze rolled his eyes.

Idiots!

You fools know nothing of the power of a system user!

“System, use [Simplification Card].”

[Ding! Simplification Card activated.]

[Grass Sword Technique simplified… simplification complete.]

[Grass Sword Technique = Be Shameless]

Be shameless?

What’s that supposed to mean? Just being shameless lets you master the technique?

Someone like me—a decent and proper man—how could I ever act shamelessly?

“Ahem… what’s all that barking about?”

“Let me say this: every one of you here—without exception—is trash!”

“Just because you’re too dumb to get it, don’t assume the rest of us are.”

“This Grass Sword Technique? I glanced at it and already comprehended the first move—‘Screw Your Mother’!”

“You mastered it in one look? Who’s making such wild claims?!”

A strong, booming voice came from the entrance of the Scripture Pavilion.

Before the man arrived, his sword aura swept across the room.

Everyone quickly stepped aside into two neat rows and greeted respectfully, “Greetings, Elder Li Wuya!”

So this was the sword fanatic of the Netherveil Continent—Li Wuya!

In his youth, to avoid distractions from sword cultivation, he even cut down his own wife.

And he once said the legendary line, “With no women in your heart, your sword will flow like a god!”

Li Wuya looked at Lin Ze, “Was it you?”

“Yup, that’s me! I heard you’ve studied it for eighty years. I really admire that kind of perseverance.”

“But I couldn’t be like you, Elder Li…”

“Because I learned it in just one glance.”

“Hehe.”

Li Wuya exploded with rage, “You arrogant brat!”

“If you can truly use the first move, I’ll stand on my head, have diarrhea, and eat it through my mouth!”

Lin Ze waved his hand dismissively, “No need. I’m afraid the smell would kill me.”

[Ding! Shamelessness +1+1+1…]

[Host has comprehended the first move: Screw Your Mother!]

Li Wuya’s face turned red with anger, “You… Do you dare show me, then?”

Without hesitation, Lin Ze nodded.

“Why wouldn’t I? Watch closely!”

He closed his eyes, recalling the technique.

After a moment, Lin Ze opened his eyes, stepped out of the Scripture Pavilion, and casually picked up a blade of dead grass.

He channeled his internal energy through the method described in the Grass Sword Technique, and a strange sense of fluency surged through him.

Holding the dry blade of grass, Lin Ze gave a light wave toward Li Wuya, shouting, “Grass Sword Technique, First Move—Screw Your Mother!”

It was such a simple action, yet Li Wuya’s previously calm expression suddenly changed.

A violent sword intent erupted from the blade of grass, striking straight at Li Wuya!

That unremarkable blade transformed in that moment into a Five-Leaf Sword Grass.

Five leaves, each like a peerless divine sword, exuding deadly pressure!

Just by looking, one felt utterly powerless to resist.

Li Wuya’s pupils shrank as he stared at the incoming attack.

He wanted to dodge but couldn’t move—he felt completely locked in place.

Left with no choice, he activated his Martial Saint cultivation to form a defensive shield.

Boom!

The sword energy struck, piercing straight through Li Wuya’s barrier!

It tore through his robe and left a faint red scar on his chest.

Staring at the wound, Li Wuya stood frozen in shock, eyes wide with disbelief.

He… had just been wounded by a mere 8th stage Martial Apprentice?

“Hiss! Couldn’t dodge it, couldn’t block it… I could only wait to be slashed!”

“The Grass Sword Technique—he really pulled it off!”

“If his cultivation were a little higher, that strike would’ve seriously injured me!”

Even You Yiran, watching from the shadows, was stunned.

She knew how terrifying Li Wuya’s sword skills were—he was the strongest swordsman in the entire Netherveil Continent!

And now, in a clash of swordsmanship, he had been defeated by Lin Ze, a Martial Apprentice.

If anyone told her this, she wouldn’t believe it.

But it happened right before her eyes.

“Wasn’t he born with crippled meridians? Unable to cultivate?”

Lin Ze smiled at Li Wuya, “Elder Li, how was ‘Screw Your Mother’?”

“…Screwed very well. Very well indeed…”

At that moment, the light in Li Wuya’s eyes faded. His proudest domain had been shattered by a disciple.

Though he didn’t want to admit it, Lin Ze’s sword intent was simply superior.

“You’re a genius. Just now… I barked too loudly…”

“I’ve practiced swordsmanship my whole life, and yet one glance from you surpassed all my efforts… Do I even deserve to wield a sword?”

Li Wuya looked utterly defeated, sighing nonstop.

Seeing how heartbroken he was, Lin Ze patted his shoulder like an elder teaching a junior.

“Elder Li, according to the Grass Sword Technique, if your heart holds the sword, then everything can be a sword.”

“My understanding is… clinging to form will limit you to one sword for life. But if you go beyond appearances and see the essence, then grass, trees, flowers, and stones can all be the ultimate sword!”

Li Wuya trembled.

His long-stagnant sword path actually began to loosen!

Everything can be a sword?

He was still stuck at the first stage of sword cultivation.

But Lin Ze… had already reached the peak!

He had been so smug, thinking he stood above others in swordsmanship. Turns out, he was the one who couldn’t see the full picture.

Li Wuya bowed deeply to Lin Ze, “This disciple is humbled.”

Gasps erupted among the crowd. Some nearly fainted from shock.

My god!

The most arrogant Elder Li Wuya actually bowed to a disciple!

“Who is this guy?”

“His sword talent is absurd. Why have I never heard of him?”

“Wait, he seems to be human…”

As praise flooded in, Lin Ze stood proudly, arms on his hips.

Damn, I’m awesome!

Suddenly—

“Elder Grandmaster! That’s him! That’s the human spy who snuck into our Netherveil Palace!”

Someone rushed over with the Grand Elder of the Netherveil Palace, pointing directly at Lin Ze.

Everyone’s expressions changed instantly. Their gazes turned wary.

“Spy? What spy?”

Lin Ze scratched his head, pretending, “I don’t get it!”
