Chapter 28: A Bit Handsome

Seeing the fear on Zhou Feng’s face, Lin Yuan felt deeply satisfied. Of course, he hadn’t installed any surveillance on Zhou Feng—everything he said came from the original novel. Zhou Feng had a habit of recording his twisted acts through videos or diaries. Later, Long Haochen infiltrated Zhou Feng’s residence to collect evidence and uncovered these records to destroy him.

Lin Yuan still remembered some of the details. But based on the current timeline, many of those things hadn’t happened yet. Everything he said now were atrocities Zhou Feng had already committed.

“You want to know who I am? Fine, I’ll tell you.” Lin Yuan said, “I, Lin Yuan, am a justice from above. No evil can escape my sight.”

Zhou Feng snarled, “Cut the nonsense. I don’t care how you know all that, but since you do, you can’t be allowed to live. I’ll rip out your tongue, gouge out your eyes, stab your ears, and hack you into pieces!”

“Zhang Long, do it!”

“Got it!”

Zhang Long raised his blade and charged at Lin Yuan. He had been stunned by what Lin Yuan had said earlier. While he knew Zhou Feng wasn’t as decent as he appeared, he never imagined he was this deranged—worse than Zhang Long himself. Compared to Zhou Feng, Zhang Long almost felt like a decent human.

Still, he wasn’t about to speak up. If he wanted to stay alive, he had to pretend he heard nothing and follow Zhou Feng’s orders. Otherwise, he might be the next victim.

As they moved to attack, Lin Yuan shouted, “Damn it! I wasn’t even afraid of Long Haochen, and you think I’m scared of you two bastards? Come at me!”

With a roar, he charged with his blade. Though fear gripped him, he shoved it aside. There was no escape, no chance of survival through surrender. His only hope was to fight with everything he had.

“Young Master, be careful!” Yang Gang, still unable to move, shouted anxiously. He blamed himself bitterly for being useless, again letting the Young Master face danger alone.

Lin Yuan fought with both hands wildly, with no clear technique. Zhou Feng and Zhang Long also feared the blade in Lin Yuan’s hands, so the three of them clashed messily, weapons clanging, but none gaining the upper hand.

Realizing this wouldn’t work, Zhou Feng suddenly retreated and kicked Zhang Long hard in the back. Stumbling forward, Zhang Long lunged at Lin Yuan with his blade.

Lin Yuan dodged to the side, but Zhou Feng seized the opportunity and slashed at Lin Yuan’s neck. Seeing he couldn’t avoid it, Lin Yuan gritted his teeth and grabbed the blade with his bare hand. Blood dripped from his palm, but he didn’t hesitate. With one hand stopping Zhou Feng’s sword, he slashed at Zhou Feng’s arm with the other.

Zhou Feng hastily withdrew to avoid being injured, but in doing so, he released his weapon. Now unarmed, he was vulnerable.

Lin Yuan rushed forward and drove his blade into Zhou Feng’s chest. A long gash opened, blood pouring out and soaking Zhou Feng’s clothes.

“Aaaargh!” Zhou Feng cried out, gritting his teeth in agony. The intense pain nearly drove him mad. He glared at Lin Yuan with pure hatred.

Lin Yuan’s left hand throbbed, soaked in blood, and his arm trembled uncontrollably. But he couldn’t collapse yet. Zhang Long had gotten back up and froze upon seeing Zhou Feng injured.

Not letting the moment go, Lin Yuan grabbed another blade from the ground and hurled it at Zhang Long, who dodged reflexively. At that instant, Lin Yuan lunged forward and stabbed him in the stomach.

Zhang Long screamed in pain, curled into a ball, and collapsed.

“You bastard, you wanted to kill me?” Lin Yuan snarled, turning back to Zhou Feng and kicking him hard. “Weren’t you arrogant just now? Weren’t you going to kill me? Come on then! Bastard!”

He kicked Zhou Feng again and again. “You think you can silence me? Do you think you’re Long Haochen or something? You fake-ass piece of shit!”

Cursing and stomping, Lin Yuan vented all the frustration he had bottled up since surviving Long Haochen’s assassination attempt. He beat Zhou Feng for nearly five or six minutes, only stopping when he felt his strength fading. Zhou Feng had long since passed out from the beating.

Zhang Long, having been stabbed in the gut, lay on the ground wailing like a dying pig, unable to fight back.

“Lin Yuan, are you okay?” He Yuwei asked with concern. Due to the drug’s effects, she still couldn’t move, so she could only ask aloud.

“At least I’m better than those two bastards… still alive,” Lin Yuan replied weakly. His left hand continued to bleed, and he felt his mind growing faint. He was barely hanging on.

“Lin Yuan, we have a first aid kit in our tent. Treat your wounds first,” Wang Qianyue said worriedly.

“Alright.” Lin Yuan dragged himself to their tent, found the kit, and wrapped his wound in gauze to stop the bleeding. Then he grabbed a jacket and covered Wang Qianyue with it before slumping against a tree stump. He didn’t close his eyes, but stared unblinkingly at Zhou Feng and Zhang Long. If they dared to move, he would beat them down again, even if it killed him.

For over two hours, the situation remained unchanged. As the drug wore off, Yang Gang, He Yuwei, and Wang Qianyue managed to move and rushed to Lin Yuan.

“Young Master, are you alright?”

“Still breathing. Yang Gang, we can’t let those two live. Finish them off. Make sure you stab every fatal spot, then toss their bodies into the depths of Wildman Peak.”

“Yes, Young Master,” Yang Gang replied instantly. Whatever the Young Master ordered, he would carry out.

“Are you okay?” He Yuwei and Wang Qianyue both asked, full of concern.

Lin Yuan gave a weak laugh. “Didn’t I just say… I’m not dea—”

Before he could finish, he lost consciousness, his head tilting and falling into He Yuwei’s arms.

“Lin Yuan!”

“Lin Yuan!”

Both He Yuwei and Wang Qianyue cried out, but upon confirming that he was merely unconscious, not dead, they finally breathed a sigh of relief.

He Yuwei looked at Lin Yuan in her arms. His face had many small cuts, likely from branches and thorns he’d run through in his rush to get back.

The way he had charged out of the forest to save them just now… was kind of handsome. She gently caressed his face, her eyes full of concern.
