Chapter 1: All Living Beings Under Heaven Are No Better Than Pigs and Dogs

“Lu Hengge, to think that you, the Holy Son of the Three Thousand Dao Sect, would stoop so low as to collude with the demon race!”

“You harmed fellow disciples! You cultivated demonic techniques!”

“Now that we have both witnesses and evidence, what more do you have to say?”

“Our Three Thousand Dao Sect stands as the leader of the Immortal Path. Who would have thought that its current Holy Son would cultivate demonic techniques by devouring flesh and blood, using an entire city of one million people as a sacrificial altar, slaughtering countless members of the human race! If we do not punish you severely today, where would our sect’s reputation be? Where would the dignity of the Immortal Path be?!”

…

Headache!

Lu Hengge shook his head.

In his ears, voices full of biting contempt echoed. Each voice was all too familiar, each word like a knife carved into his bones, impossible to forget.

Moments later, his thoughts cleared slightly. Lu Hengge lowered his head and looked at his hands, his eyes filled with confusion.

“I’m still alive?”

That’s not right!

He should have died in the great war at the Heaven and Earth Furnace.

Lu Hengge remembered it clearly. He had battled the Heaven’s Chosen of this world for hundreds of years. In a war that transcended time and severed karma, existing solely for killing and violence, he was slain by that so-called Heaven’s Chosen.

His body was annihilated, his soul burned out, and the Heaven’s Chosen even cast a Reincarnation Dao technique, preventing him from ever reincarnating for all eternity.

As he thought about his tragic end, Lu Hengge’s eyes turned blood-red. An aura of chilling cold spread out, as if ten-thousand-year-old ice was freezing the entire hall.

In an instant, everyone in the great hall trembled with fear and instinctively stepped back.

Lu Hengge!

Holy Son of the Three Thousand Dao Sect!

The most talented disciple in ten thousand years!

He reached the Qi Refining Realm in half a year, the Foundation Establishment Realm in one year, the Golden Core Realm in three years, and the Nascent Soul Realm in ten years.

While others walked the lonely and arduous path of cultivation, Lu Hengge would suddenly break through while resting. The Three Thousand Daos seemed to exist naturally in his heart. Even idle contemplation could lead to enlightenment and breakthroughs.

The sect’s ancestors had even declared that Lu Hengge possessed the potential to become a Divine Emperor.

Not only that.

Lu Hengge was humble and kind. He never acted arrogantly and often hosted Dao lectures to share his cultivation insights, earning deep admiration and love from many disciples in the sect.

But why…

Why did the Holy Son now exude such terrifying and bloodthirsty aura…

Could it be that their Holy Son of the Three Thousand Dao Sect had truly fallen into the demonic path and begun cultivating demonic techniques?

“How dare you!”

“You dare act so wildly in the Hall of Justice!”

At the head of the hall.

A man in gray Daoist robes waved his sleeve, instantly dissipating the icy killing aura from Lu Hengge.

Then, a powerful force smashed into Lu Hengge’s back, violently shifting his internal organs and fracturing several of his bones. He was crushed to the point he couldn’t breathe.

The overwhelming pain brought Lu Hengge back to his senses. Then, he laughed with unrestrained joy. Blood tears flowed from the corners of his eyes, and his long black hair fluttered wildly like a mad demon.

“I’m alive!”

“I’m really alive!!”

This pain could never be faked.

He had been reborn!

Reborn five hundred years in the past, at the very moment when the so-called Heaven’s Chosen had first falsely accused him after entering the sect.

His maniacal laughter left the entire hall filled with suspicion and dread. Everyone looked at him with unease.

At this moment, Lu Hengge no longer resembled the Holy Son of the Dao Sect. His entire body was filled with a suffocating, murderous aura that pierced the heavens, like a Dao heart on the verge of collapse.

As no one dared to step forward, a familiar voice entered Lu Hengge’s ears.

“Hengge.”

“This is the Hall of Justice!”

The voice was pleasant.

Following the sound, Lu Hengge slowly raised his head. A cold and beautiful face entered his sight. The warm, caring gaze of the past had turned icy and distant, tinged with helplessness. The woman’s figure was accentuated perfectly by her crimson robes, drawing the attention of many male cultivators.

Lu Hengge’s gaze turned frigid, filled with killing intent.

This woman was his master, Lu Sheng.

Lu Hengge had no parents or name growing up. During a war between immortals and demons, Lu Sheng had found him cowering in a corner, and out of pity, brought him back to the Three Thousand Dao Sect and named him Lu Hengge.

Lu Hengge had once admired her deeply!

She not only fed him but guided him onto the path of cultivation. Back then, Lu Sheng would gently pat his head and call him “Hengge” with a warm smile. Whenever she went down the mountain, she would bring back little trinkets for him.

To Lu Hengge, she was both mother and father—far more than just a master.

Yet it was also this very woman!

Before the Heaven and Earth Furnace battle, she had caught him off guard and fed him Immortal Scattering Powder, crippling more than half his cultivation. Then, she personally shattered his divine bones inch by inch.

Even now, her cold and disgusted voice still echoed in his ears: “You once colluded with the demon race and fell into the demonic path. I thought a hundred years of sword energy would purge the evil from your heart, but it seems you’ve still turned. You are the shame of the sect!”

Lu Hengge had tried to defend himself, but the pain of his divine bones being shattered left him speechless. He could only watch helplessly as they were ground into dust.

His cultivation was ruined!

And the one who started it all stepped gracefully over the powder of his shattered divine bones and left.

The only reason she didn’t kill Lu Hengge was because the Heaven’s Chosen—his so-called “little junior brother”—wanted to do it personally. He wanted to erase Lu Hengge in front of the world to establish his reputation.

The irony was that after Lu Hengge’s death, this “little junior brother” immediately activated the Heaven and Earth Furnace, using all creation as ingredients, Dao flames as fuel, and sacrificed the entire world.

Those cast into the furnace screamed in agony, their skeletons and souls rolling in pain, calling out Lu Hengge’s name—only to become fuel and vanish into nothingness.

That master who claimed to fight for the people and eradicate evil—became the plaything on the Heaven’s Chosen’s bed.

While the people wailed in misery, she moaned on his bed, begging for more.

In the end, she was drained by the Heaven’s Chosen using a demonic dual cultivation technique, dying with only skin and bones remaining.

Now, upon seeing Lu Sheng’s cold and elegant face again, Lu Hengge’s heart surged with murderous rage.

“Lu Sheng deserves to die!”

“The entire Three Thousand Dao Sect deserves to die!”

“And all living beings under heaven deserve to die!!!”

In his past life, he died a miserable death.

All the people under heaven were accomplices.

He had cultivated for hundreds of years to protect the human race, only to be reviled as a demon and cursed to die.

Lu Hengge had once witnessed a demon clan massacre an entire city of one million people. He knew that once the Heaven and Earth Furnace was activated, far more than a million lives would be lost. The entire realm—sects, empires, cities—would fall.

So he gave everything to stop it.

And what did the people do?

They slandered him, cursed him, and helped the “little junior brother” hunt him down.

All beings.

No better than pigs and dogs!

In this new life…

Lu Hengge would live for his own Dao. As for those pigs and dogs who got in his way, they would simply be slaughtered.
