Chapter 35: A Physique Comparable to a Primordial Remnant!

Aside from primordial beasts, the Land of Chaos was also inhabited by many other fearsome beings, each with terrifying strength. After finishing off the Fiery Mystic Tiger Serpent, the two of them continued deeper into the Land of Chaos. 

Within just two days, they had encountered over a dozen primordial beasts. These creatures were not only terrifying in cultivation but also possessed incredibly powerful bloodlines. 

Fortunately, Jiang Wang was no pushover. He showed no mercy to these monsters and killed them on the spot without hesitation.

The two of them didn’t move quickly. They walked slowly along the ground, as aside from primordial beasts, the Land of Chaos also contained fragmented spatial zones. That was what Jiang Wang truly feared.

Jiang Wang used his hand like a blade to slice open the corpse of a primordial beast. Blood sprayed out immediately, yet not a single drop stained him. Shen Ruyan helped him retrieve the beast core from the creature’s body. 

Then, they set up a pot and began boiling water. This beast wasn’t particularly strong—just recently stepping into the Mysterious Spirit Realm—but its bloodline was exceptionally pure, and its body brimming with blood Qi, making Jiang Wang drool in anticipation.

Shen Ruyan examined the creature and found that it indeed had vigorous blood Qi, its body radiating with surging vitality. When the blood Qi was strong, cultivation wouldn’t be low either. The beast exuded a terrifying aura; based on her judgment, its strength had reached the Source Refinement Realm. 

It had five beast tails, a hideous face, a body shaped like a leopard, entirely crimson like it was cloaked in flames, and a flaming horn on its grotesque head.

Shen Ruyan immediately recognized the creature. It was a Blazing Flame Fiend! 

She looked at it and thought to herself, “How could a creature like this show up?” 

It was a primordial remnant with an ancient bloodline and considerable strength—just perfect for lunch.

Jiang Wang, however, was not afraid in the slightest. Instead, he examined the beast critically, contemplating which part would be the tastiest. The Blazing Flame Fiend clearly possessed intelligence. Jiang Wang’s blatant and hungry gaze made it furious.

“Roar!” it let out an enraged roar, flames bursting from its mouth and nostrils, rushing toward the two of them like a fiery meteor. 

Wherever it passed, the scarce vegetation on the ground was instantly reduced to ashes. Shen Ruyan’s gaze immediately turned solemn. This creature was a primordial remnant with an extremely powerful bloodline. 

Such beings were incredibly rare, and they had no idea what kind of attacks it could unleash. Moreover, with its Source Refinement Realm strength, it was even more troublesome, forcing Shen Ruyan to respond with caution.

Jiang Wang, on the other hand, paid no attention to any of that. Watching the charging Blazing Flame Fiend, he knew it was far stronger than the Fiery Mystic Tiger Serpent—but so what? He was the Divine Son of the Jiang Clan. 

Would he really fear a mere beast?

Facing the incoming beast, Jiang Wang didn’t dodge. Instead, he met its attack head-on with his own body. 

“Chi!” 

The Blazing Flame Fiend’s steel claws clashed with Jiang Wang’s fist, emitting a sharp, grating noise. He felt a sting in his fist and noticed a faint white mark.

The Blazing Flame Fiend was deeply shocked. When its claw struck Jiang Wang’s fist, it felt like hitting an incomparably hard boulder. 

With power strong enough to shatter mountains, it only managed to leave a faint mark. This terrifying physical strength was even greater than its own!

Little did it know, Jiang Wang possessed the Chaos Demonic Physique. Though he had yet to fully awaken its potential, his physical body was already unimaginably strong. 

Combined with the refinement from the holy medicine, the Blazing Flame Fiend was no match for him in that regard.

Seeing this, Shen Ruyan didn’t hesitate. She charged in with her sword, its icy glow aimed directly at the beast’s head. Sensing danger from behind, the Blazing Flame Fiend ignited its entire body in flames and forcefully broke free from Jiang Wang’s attempt to restrain it, quickly dodging to the side.

As it leapt away, Jiang Wang’s figure was instantly exposed. 

Shen Ruyan abruptly halted her thrust and watched as the beast evaded. She immediately chased after its figure without holding back her sword. The sword light was sharp, and each strike carried terrifying sword intent, as if it could cut the sky itself.

Jiang Wang was shocked. Shen Ruyan’s offensive power had exceeded his expectations. The power of those sword strikes was immense—the Blazing Flame Fiend didn’t dare take them head-on and could only dodge in panic.

Thinking this, Jiang Wang didn’t remain idle. Seeing the beast still resisting, he ignored any so-called martial virtue and charged straight at it.

If it had trouble handling Jiang Wang alone, with the addition of Shen Ruyan, the Blazing Flame Fiend became completely overwhelmed.

Under the intense crisis, the flaming horn on the Blazing Flame Fiend’s head suddenly lit up. Though they didn’t know what kind of power it held, both Jiang Wang and Shen Ruyan understood—it was about to unleash a big move! The two exchanged a glance and simultaneously retreated.

An incomparably powerful force gathered around the Blazing Flame Fiend. The energy changed the color of the sky and frightened off all the weaker beasts nearby. 

Jiang Wang pulled Shen Ruyan farther away, saying seriously, “This move is terrifying indeed. As expected of a primordial remnant.” 

He tried to position them somewhere safe.

However, when the beast finally released that energy, Jiang Wang realized their so-called safe spot wasn’t safe at all. The energy it summoned transformed into massive flaming meteors that whistled through the air toward them.

“BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!” 

They dodged left and right. As the meteors struck the barren ground, they exploded instantly, leaving behind massive craters. The charred earth was pitch-black, flames still burning all around—a scene of utter devastation. Several times, the meteors brushed right past them. Jiang Wang felt the searing heat and the terrifying energy within them.

Fortunately, such devastating attacks also came at a great cost. After that one barrage, the Blazing Flame Fiend appeared weakened, barely holding itself up as it glared at Jiang Wang and Shen Ruyan.

Just as Jiang Wang was about to rush forward to resume the fight, a commotion suddenly came from the distance. Hearing the noise, his advancing figure paused, and he immediately turned to look in the direction of the sound.
