My Best Friend Begged Me to Be a Stay-at-Home Dad for the CEO Goddess - Chapter 21:
Chapter 21: Teaching Wang Meina a Lesson
During the midday break, the villa was completely quiet, and Mengmeng was already sound asleep. Jiang Ning quietly walked down to the first floor, planning to use this free moment to check on Huayin’s operations. From the brief glance he took earlier, he already knew the number of followers had surpassed several hundred thousand. Comments were flooding in like snowflakes, and he figured that even if he spent a full hour, he still wouldn’t be able to read them all.
“Ding-dong—” The sharp ring of the doorbell suddenly echoed.
Jiang Ning’s brows immediately furrowed as he grew puzzled. Who would show up at this hour? Could it be that Su Che came back again?
He put away his phone, walked calmly out of the villa, and opened the gate.
Standing at the entrance were three people. One of them was Wang Meina, whom he had seen earlier that morning. The other two were young men—one of them bore a slight resemblance to her, likely her son. The third had a flashy dyed hairstyle and was chewing on a cigarette with a cocky expression.
Jiang Ning’s expression darkened as he asked coldly, “What do you want?”
Wang Meina tilted her head up, nostrils flared, shouting arrogantly, “You brat! You’re just a lowly worker. Weren’t you all arrogant this morning? Now I’m giving you a chance—tell me honestly, does your lady boss have a boyfriend? Is she married? You only get one chance!”
The young man who resembled Wang Meina chimed in, “You’re the one who threatened my mom this morning?”
Jiang Ning remained calm and unfazed as he replied, “And what if I did? What exactly do you plan to do? Leave immediately. Otherwise, I won’t hesitate to call the police. This counts as intimidation at someone’s doorstep.”
“Intimidation? Hah! Brat, you really are looking for a beating! Yeah, I’m threatening you—go ahead and call the cops!” the blonde-haired young man said disdainfully as he flicked his cigarette to the ground and stomped on it.
Then he stepped forward and suddenly swung his right hand at Jiang Ning’s face.
“Pa!”
In a flash, Jiang Ning’s left hand shot out and caught the blond guy’s hand midair with perfect precision, then pressed down with force.
“Crack!”
“Ahhh—!” The blond young man’s face instantly turned pale as he let out a pig-like screech of pain.
“Bro—Big Bro, please, let go, it hurts! Ahh, it really hurts!” His entire face turned red, tears welling in his eyes from the agony.
Seeing this, Wang Meina’s son trembled uncontrollably. Wang Meina herself was also terrified. Her lips moved, but all that came out were incoherent noises, and even her hands started shaking uncontrollably.
Jiang Ning turned to Wang Meina, his gaze like a sharp blade, “What’s wrong? Weren’t you quite cocky just now? You nosy woman, say those words again if you dare.”
Wang Meina didn’t even dare meet his eyes. Her lips quivered, but no words came out.
“Not saying anything?” Jiang Ning’s voice grew even colder, laced with frost.
Forced by the pressure of his icy aura, Wang Meina stuttered and finally said, “I-I said… You brat! You’re just a lowly worker. This morning you were acting all high and mighty. Now I’m giving you a chance…”
“Pa!” Before she could finish, Jiang Ning’s right hand slapped her across the face like lightning.
“Ah!” Wang Meina was sent flying like a kite with a broken string, and her cheek swelled up instantly.
“Ugh… You bastard… How dare you…” she whimpered.
But as soon as her gaze met Jiang Ning’s eyes—cold and sharp like icy stars—she swallowed the rest of her sentence and didn’t dare utter another word.
Her entire body trembled as she collapsed to the ground, too afraid to even get up, terrified that the slightest movement would earn her another beating.
“What trash.”
Jiang Ning shifted his gaze toward Wang Meina’s son, who was trembling on the side. “Now it’s your turn. What do you want to say? What’s your name, and which building do you live in?”
Wang Meina’s son, Wang Qingquan, stammered in fear, “I-I…”
“Pa!”
Another slap sent Wang Qingquan flying.
Sitting on the ground, Wang Qingquan pointed at Jiang Ning with trembling fingers, furious, “You… you hit people…”
But when his eyes met Jiang Ning’s fierce, almost murderous gaze, it was like his spine was ripped out. He instantly deflated, losing all his momentum.
Jiang Ning said coldly, “I’m giving you one more chance. Only one.”
As he spoke, he increased the pressure on the blonde-haired youth’s hand.
“Ahhh! It hurts! B-Big Bro, I was wrong! I really was! It—It was Wang Qingquan who gave me 200 yuan to come and threaten you. I—I don’t want the money anymore. I’ll leave now!” the blonde guy whimpered, almost unable to form full sentences from the pain.
He was nothing more than a bum who spent his days in internet cafes playing games. If he hadn’t run out of money and happened to meet Wang Qingquan, who thought his yellow hair and tattoos looked intimidating, he wouldn’t have come here at all. Wang Qingquan paid him 200 yuan to come scare Jiang Ning a little. He thought it’d be easy to bully a regular worker—how could he have known he was dealing with a trained fighter? Talk about bad luck.
“I wasn’t talking to you. Keep whining and see what happens.”
Seeing Jiang Ning’s fierce glare, the blonde shivered and didn’t dare say another word.
Wang Qingquan’s face was pale as he stuttered, “B-Big Bro, I’m Wang Qingquan… I live in Building 5, Unit 2…”
“Good. So a bunch of nobodies like you think you can come here asking questions. If you want to keep living peacefully, you better move out. Otherwise, bear the consequences. The owner of this house isn’t someone you can mess with.”
With that, Jiang Ning suddenly released the blond guy’s hand.
“Get lost. And don’t let me see you again!”
Wang Qingquan scrambled up in panic and stammered, “Y-Yes! We’ll leave now!”
In reality, the house they lived in didn’t even belong to them. They were only looking after it on behalf of a distant relative who had gone abroad. After seeing that Su Meng was living here alone with her daughter, Wang Meina got some ideas. She wanted to find out more about the lady of the house so her son could try to court Su Meng and climb the social ladder to become rich.
But Jiang Ning understood clearly that Wang Meina was far from being truly wealthy. Real rich people had an unshakable air and dressed with refined taste, something that couldn’t be faked.
No matter how well Wang Meina dressed, her outfit clashed with her demeanor. It was awkward and unnatural. And the blonde kid? He clearly wasn’t a vicious gangster—just a lazy, unmotivated punk.
That’s why Jiang Ning dared to make a move and teach them a lesson.
If a truly wealthy person wanted to dig up information, all they needed was to order their staff or spend a little money and they’d know everything.
But people like Wang Meina—if you gave them an inch, they’d take a mile, becoming even more arrogant and insufferable. Only when you showed them how terrifying you could be would they be scared out of their wits and keep their distance for good.
