My Best Friend Begged Me to Be a Stay-at-Home Dad for the CEO Goddess - Chapter 25:
Chapter 25: Taking Down Five Thugs Instantly in the Park
Sunlight bathed the park’s lawn in a peaceful glow, but the tranquility was suddenly shattered by the arrival of five uninvited thugs.
The five gangsters surrounded Jiang Ning and Mengmeng like a pack of hungry wolves. The three housewives who had ridden the carousel with them earlier were so frightened that their faces turned pale. They quickly took their children and backed far away, terrified of getting caught up in the trouble.
“Hey punk, you’re the nanny Su Meng hired to take care of the kid? Leave the little girl here and get lost! If I see you again, I’ll beat you every time!” the thug leader shouted arrogantly, his voice rough and domineering. The fat on his face trembled with each word, making him look like a textbook street thug.
Mengmeng was so scared that her little face went pale. Like a startled fawn, she quickly hid behind Jiang Ning, her voice trembling with sobs, “Uncle Jiang, I’m scared… they’re bad people.”
“Don’t be afraid, Mengmeng. Be a good girl, close your eyes, and you won’t have to fear anything,” Jiang Ning said softly, his voice full of warmth and calm as he tried to soothe her frightened little heart.
“Really?” Mengmeng looked up at him with hope, then quickly squeezed her eyes shut and instinctively covered them with her hands, as if that could keep the fear away.
“Who are you people? I suggest you leave immediately, or I’ll call the police.” Jiang Ning’s expression was calm and steady as he looked firmly at the gangsters, his voice deep and unshaken by fear.
“Call the cops? Brat, are you sick of living? Try it—I dare you!” The thug leader was instantly enraged, like a lit powder keg. He rolled up his sleeves, revealing hideous tattoos on his arms and hands, baring his teeth and menacing with hostility.
Jiang Ning didn’t bother to waste time with them. He knew these people had clearly come targeting Su Meng and Mengmeng. Without hesitation, he pulled out his phone to call the police.
“You actually dared to pull out your phone? Brothers, chop off his hands!” the thug leader roared furiously and swung his arm down.
In an instant, the four thugs behind him charged like wolves lunging at prey, fists raised, aiming straight for Jiang Ning’s head.
Seeing them charge, Jiang Ning didn’t have time to dial. He quickly put away his phone. His eyes turned sharp as his aura shifted instantly. Without hesitation, he met the first thug head-on and launched a powerful kick at the man’s lower abdomen.
“BOOM!”
The kick carried Jiang Ning’s fury and strength. It struck the thug like a cannonball.
“Crack!”
A sharp sound of breaking bones echoed.
“Ahhh!” the thug let out a shrill scream of pain.
With a “Pfft!” he spat out blood as his body flew back over ten meters like a broken kite. He clutched his stomach, writhing on the ground, unable to stand.
This time, Jiang Ning didn’t hold back like he had with the blond punk Wang Meina brought over.
The sudden turn of events stunned the remaining three thugs. Their arms were still raised mid-attack, but their once-arrogant faces were now filled with shock and terror. Their eyes were glued to their fallen comrade.
But Jiang Ning didn’t give them a chance to react. His attacks raged on like a storm.
He lunged forward in a fluid crouch, then struck with both fists at the two thugs ahead of him, aiming at their lower abdomens.
“Bang! Bang!”
The sound was like heavy hammers pounding on drums.
“Ahh!”
“Pfft!”
Both thugs screamed as blood spurted from their mouths. Their bodies were hurled backward, crashing down beside the first thug.
The three of them curled up on the ground in agony, clutching their stomachs and groaning in pain. They tried to get up, but couldn’t move at all.
Jiang Ning’s punches may have seemed casual, but they were perfectly calculated. He intentionally targeted their lower abdomens, avoiding fatal points. He was fully aware of his current beginner-level martial arts strength and physical power. If he had hit a vital spot with full force, someone could’ve easily died.
With two more thugs sent flying, the last one was completely petrified. He froze in place, his raised fist trembling uncontrollably. The arrogance on his face vanished completely, replaced by sheer panic.
“H-He’s obviously trained!” the thug stammered, his voice quivering.
But before he could recover, Jiang Ning’s sweeping leg came flying like a black lightning bolt, slamming directly into his face.
“BOOM!”
“Ahhh!” the thug screamed as several teeth were sent flying.
He was knocked sideways through the air and landed heavily on the ground. His face swelled instantly like a pig’s head, and with his eyes rolled back, he passed out cold.
From the moment Jiang Ning made his move to the instant he took down four thugs, the entire fight had taken less than five seconds—swift, clean, and brutal.
Mengmeng, who had been tightly closing her eyes, had secretly opened a tiny slit to peek at what was happening. She watched nervously and curiously.
When she saw the thugs fly through the air like ragdolls, her fear vanished instantly and was replaced by awe.
“Uncle Jiang won! Uncle Jiang is amazing!” she cheered in her heart. She wasn’t afraid anymore.
The thug leader watched in horror as his four men were completely crushed within seconds. His legs trembled uncontrollably, and cold sweat poured down his face like broken beads on a string.
He might’ve stood a chance against Jiang Ning if it were just two-on-one, but facing someone who had just taken down four of his men in seconds—there was no way. Going up against that would be suicide.
“B-B-Bro, it was a misunderstanding! Just a misunderstanding! We’ll leave right now!” he stammered in fear, his voice cracking as he turned to flee.
“Trying to run now? Stay where you are.”
Jiang Ning’s voice was icy and merciless.
The thug leader panicked and sprinted off, not even bothering to check on his men.
“You still want to run?”
Jiang Ning let out a cold snort, tapped his foot, and activated the Clear Wind Phantom Step technique stored in his mind.
“Whoosh whoosh!”
His figure vanished like a shadowy blur.
Despite being more than ten meters away, in the blink of an eye, Jiang Ning reappeared right behind the thug leader like a ghost.
“BOOM!”
Another powerful kick landed squarely on the thug leader’s back.
“AHHH!”
The thug leader screamed as his body launched like a missile, his head hitting the ground first. He tumbled several times before finally lying motionless, bleeding from the forehead and unconscious.
The nearby crowd, who had all been frozen in fear during the sudden outburst of violence, now erupted in applause as the thugs were taken down. Cheers broke out from all directions.
Many people even took out their phones to record the entire scene.
