Chapter 18: Catching the Affair

“Celestial Master, there’s no need to say such things in the future. The bond between my wife and me won’t be broken just because of a child,” Gu Tianming said in a deep voice.

Qin Yang shrugged and didn’t say more, and the atmosphere turned heavy.

Lu Lixing, however, knew that Qin Yang wasn’t someone who spoke without reason. He said coldly, “CEO Gu, don’t jump to conclusions. As far as I know, Celestial Master never speaks without cause. He must have his reasons.”

Gu Tianming’s expression grew grim, but facing Lu Lixing, he could only say, “Maybe Celestial Master just overlooked something, but that solution is something I will never accept.”

Even Su Nuanyue felt that Qin Yang’s suggestion was a bad idea.

He rushed in.

A man and a woman, both in their forties, were lying under a blanket on the bed.

Used condoms were scattered on the floor—three in total.

Qin Yang smiled faintly. Caught red-handed.

“Tianming, why are you here? I can explain. Don’t misunderstand,” the woman said, half her shoulders exposed, her face full of panic.

Even though she was approaching fifty, her beauty was still evident.

No one expected Xie Manqing to be caught cheating.

Xie Manqing’s face paled, her expression guilty, but she quickly sneered.

“Gu Tianming, Anan is my true love. You were just the bastard who stole me away. If not for you, Anan and I would have long been married. The moment I married you, I decided that even if I became your wife, I would never bear you a child. I wanted you to have no descendants,” Xie Manqing said fiercely.

Everyone was stunned and turned to look at Qin Yang.

Now they understood why Qin Yang had advised Gu Tianming to find a new wife.

Gu Tianming’s face turned ashen.

“And you didn’t know? Every time we were together, I took contraceptives. Even so, I still got pregnant twice. But I never told you. I said I was traveling abroad, but I was actually going to other cities to secretly get abortions,” Xie Manqing said.

Gu Tianming clenched his fists.

His family had a single heir for three generations; he had longed desperately for a child.

And yet, for her, he was willing to forego having children.

Only to be repaid with this.

“When did you two start?” Gu Tianming asked.

“Before I married you, Anan and I were already together,” Xie Manqing said proudly.

“Impossible. You gave me your virginity,” Gu Tianming’s voice trembled.

“A couple of hundred yuan for a hymen surgery. You were just too naive,” Xie Manqing said mockingly.

Gu Tianming clenched his fists tighter. He had been deceived for almost thirty years.

Qin Yang yawned, “I’m tired of listening. Let’s go.”

“Okay,” Su Nuanyue nodded.

“Celestial Master, don’t worry. The cooperation with CEO Su is settled. You’ve helped CEO Gu, and he won’t have any issues either,” Lu Lixing quickly said.

Qin Yang said indifferently, “Up to you.”

He and Su Nuanyue left.

As for Gu Tianming’s ending, Qin Yang didn’t care.

He drove away with Su Nuanyue.

Su Nuanyue shivered.

These didn’t sound like skills normal people should have.

“Are there really demons in this world?” Su Nuanyue asked, startled.

Su Nuanyue relaxed a bit. So Qin Yang wasn’t talking about actual demons—he was referring to wicked people.

“The Qin family abandoning you is the dumbest thing they’ve ever done. They’re going to regret it,” Su Nuanyue sighed.
