Recognized by His Family, the True Young Master Went on a Killing Spree - Chapter 30:
Chapter 30: I Cultivate Immortality
Jiang Nanfeng smiled faintly and said, “No matter what they’re like, I’ve decided to recognize you as my brother.”
As he spoke, he reached out, trying to pat Qin Yang’s shoulder.
However, Qin Yang frowned and dodged directly. Even without Qin Xue’s warning, Qin Yang could tell this Jiang Nanfeng wasn’t a good person. He thought his smile was sincere, but to Qin Yang, it looked terribly fake.
“If you say one more disgusting word, I’ll throw you off this building,” Qin Yang said coldly.
Jiang Nanfeng glanced outside. They were on the eighteenth floor. If Qin Yang really threw him out, even with some martial skills, he’d most likely die.
Jiang Nanfeng was already aware of Qin Yang’s strength. Not knowing the extent of Qin Yang’s background, he decided not to act rashly.
Thinking of this, Jiang Nanfeng forced a bitter smile and said, “Forget it, I won’t force you. I hope you’ll come around one day.”
Then, turning to Su Nuanyue, he said, “Nuanyue, don’t forget tonight’s class reunion.”
Su Nuanyue nodded.
Only then did Jiang Nanfeng say, “I’ll take my leave.”
He turned and left the reception room.
A glint flashed in Qin Yang’s eyes as he said, “For the next while, don’t let Du Li leave your side.”
“Is Jiang Nanfeng very powerful?” Su Nuanyue asked curiously.
Qin Yang nodded and said, “His strength is about the same as Du Li’s. Not strong to me, but to ordinary people, he’s unbeatable.”
Su Nuanyue took a sharp breath. This Jiang Nanfeng was actually that powerful. She had initially thought to deal with him with diplomacy. Clearly, she had underestimated him.
“Forget it. I’ll go with you tonight. When we get back, I’ll help Du Li enhance her strength—she’s too weak,” Qin Yang said.
“She’s already a first-rate martial artist, and that’s still weak?” Su Nuanyue said in surprise.
Martial artists were ranked third-rate, second-rate, first-rate, grandmaster, and innate. Innate experts were rare, while grandmasters were respected everywhere. A first-rate martial artist could already dominate a region.
As a businesswoman, having a first-rate martial artist as a bodyguard was already an incredible asset. This was partly due to the bond she had with Du Li. Most people couldn’t even hire a third-rate martial artist.
Martial artists had extremely high status; even top businessmen couldn’t easily compare to them.
“Is a first-rate martial artist strong?” Qin Yang asked.
Su Nuanyue was stunned. “You’re not saying you’re a grandmaster? Or even innate? No way—Du Li said even geniuses need at least thirty years to reach innate.”
Qin Yang shook his head. “I don’t know martial arts.”
Su Nuanyue was full of question marks.
“I cultivate immortality,” Qin Yang explained.
Cultivate immortality?
Su Nuanyue had only ever read about that in novels.
“That’s not important. What matters is that I’m very powerful,” Qin Yang said.
Su Nuanyue smiled. She agreed with that. Qin Yang was indeed formidable.
“The Qin family and the Jiang family will definitely regret it,” Su Nuanyue said.
Qin Yang was like a treasure trove that amazed her every day, constantly bringing new surprises. Even with this recent project, if not for Qin Yang’s intervention, securing it would have been extremely difficult. And those crafty old foxes even conceded profits to her.
Su Nuanyue knew very well that all of this was thanks to Qin Yang. Without him, those ruthless businessmen would never have let her secure the project so easily, let alone at such a high profit margin.
At noon, Qin Yang and Su Nuanyue went to the company cafeteria to eat.
Su Nuanyue usually dined in the cafeteria and rarely ordered private meals. The employees were relaxed around her; although she was decisive in business, she was also quite tolerant. As long as you worked hard and generated profit for the company, she didn’t care about formalities.
However, when they saw Qin Yang with Su Nuanyue, acting intimately, everyone was stunned. They all speculated about Qin Yang’s identity.
Du Li suddenly appeared from a corner. Seeing Qin Yang, she wasn’t surprised. She carried a meal tray and sat next to Su Nuanyue.
At that moment, Su Nuanyue stood up, drawing everyone’s attention.
Su Nuanyue spoke, “Let me introduce someone. This is Qin Yang, my fiancé. In the company, please respect him as you respect me. What he says carries the same authority as my words.”
Everyone was shocked and quickly stood up, greeting, “Good day, CEO Qin.”
Qin Yang smiled and nodded slightly, calm and natural. Such a scene didn’t faze him at all.
The employees were impressed. Qin Yang’s calm demeanor alone earned their respect.
Qin Yang’s gaze fell on Du Li as he said, “After lunch, let’s find a quiet room. I’ll check your body.”
Du Li’s eyes nearly popped out. What did this man mean?
He dared to say such things in front of the CEO? “What nonsense are you talking about?” Du Li protested.
“Just a physical check, and I’ll help you improve your strength. What’s wrong with that?” Qin Yang asked.
Improve her strength?
Du Li froze. She hadn’t expected Qin Yang to mean that.
“I thought you meant…” Du Li trailed off, embarrassed.
Su Nuanyue chuckled. She knew Du Li had misunderstood, and she suspected Qin Yang had said it on purpose to tease her.
Realizing her mistake, Du Li was astonished. “Improve my strength? How is that possible? This isn’t a wuxia novel. Strength is earned through hard work, not shortcuts.”
Even with help, a guide could only do so much. For someone of her level, only an innate expert expending a lot of energy could help her improve slightly.
But Qin Yang didn’t look like an innate expert—he was too young.
“You don’t need to worry. I have my methods. Your strength is too weak. I’m worried you won’t be able to protect yourself or Nuanyue,” Qin Yang said.
Du Li wanted to argue but stopped. Qin Yang was expressing concern for her.
“Fine. But if it damages your own strength, forget it,” Du Li said.
“Don’t worry,” Qin Yang replied with a confident smile.
Seeing his self-assured look, Du Li finally felt at ease.
After lunch, Qin Yang took Du Li to a hotel next door. They booked a room, and once inside, Du Li looked visibly awkward.
