Chapter 8: Eighty Percent Sure the Child Is Yours

“Miss, are you really safe getting involved with someone like him?”

Unlike Du Li’s worries, Su Nuanyue looked at Qin Yang with eyes full of admiration.

“Let’s go, to my room,” Su Nuanyue said.

Du Li pushed her toward the bedroom, and Qin Yang followed closely behind.

Watching Qin Yang’s retreating figure, Su Qiang gritted his teeth. There was no way he would let this go.

Thinking of this, Su Qiang pulled out his phone and dialed a number.

“Mom, Sister and her man bullied me. They even hit me…”

Qin Yang’s ears twitched slightly, and he chuckled.

“You saved your little brother, but he doesn’t seem to appreciate it,” Qin Yang said.

Du Li also heard Su Qiang’s phone call and said directly, “Su Qiang’s complaining to his mom.”

“Ignore him,” Su Nuanyue said calmly.

She didn’t care at all. To her, those two were nothing more than clowns.

At that moment, Qin Yang crouched down and grabbed Su Nuanyue’s leg.

Du Li was startled and kicked out instinctively.

But the next second, she felt a gentle force enveloping her, making her involuntarily retreat.

Du Li was shocked and exclaimed, “External release of inner strength, an innate grandmaster?”

Looking at Qin Yang, her gaze was full of awe.

Qin Yang just smiled, not confirming or denying.

His gaze fell on Su Nuanyue’s leg, “Your leg is broken, but it’s not permanently disabled. Someone deliberately tampered with it, preventing you from standing. In a year, your legs would completely atrophy, and your health would collapse. You’d be dead within two years.”

Du Li’s face changed dramatically.

“They’re that ruthless?” she said.

Su Nuanyue remained calm, as if unsurprised. She simply asked, “Can it be cured?”

“Simple,” Qin Yang said.

He moved his fingers across her leg, which looked a bit indecent.

Du Li’s face filled with anger, thinking Qin Yang was taking advantage of her lady.

She was about to act when Su Nuanyue gave her a glance, making her suppress her urge.

Facing Qin Yang, Su Nuanyue could tell there was no inappropriate emotion in his eyes—only seriousness.

Right now, Qin Yang was a pure doctor.

As Qin Yang worked, waves of pain came, surprising Su Nuanyue.

But soon, those pains were replaced by warm currents.

Su Nuanyue looked astonished. When Qin Yang first touched her leg, she felt nothing.

Now, she could clearly feel warmth coursing into her legs wherever his hands moved.

A blush spread across her face—the sensation was too comfortable.

Seeing Su Nuanyue’s expression, Du Li misunderstood again and glared at Qin Yang, wishing she could cripple him right there.

At that moment, Qin Yang withdrew his hand.

“Try standing up,” he said to Su Nuanyue.

Stand up?

Su Nuanyue froze, then excitement surged in her heart.

She tentatively supported herself with the wheelchair and, under Du Li’s surprised gaze, stood up.

Though her legs were trembling, she was standing—something completely different from before when she had no feeling at all.

Qin Yang nodded, “Not bad. I’ve unblocked all your meridians. Whoever harmed you was ruthless—using silver needles to seal all your meridians. They really wanted you dead.”

“It was that woman. She found a Chinese doctor for Miss back then. I knew she wasn’t well-intentioned,” Du Li said.

“Luckily, the bone setting was fine. I’ve unblocked your meridians and nourished your bones with true energy. Walk more, and in two days, you’ll be no different from a normal person,” Qin Yang said.

“Thank you,” Su Nuanyue said.

“You’re my woman; there’s no need to be polite,” Qin Yang said with a smile.

Du Li pouted but said nothing.

Just now, Qin Yang’s martial arts and medical skills had truly shocked her.

Otherwise, she would have sneered that a toad wanted to eat swan meat.

Su Nuanyue’s expression was a bit strange, but she still nodded gently.

This man seemed quite good—

His personality suited her taste, his means were forceful enough, and most importantly, he was handsome.

No one knew that Su Nuanyue, the icy CEO of the Su family, was actually a face-con.

Her first criterion for choosing a man was looks.

As for money and status, she didn’t care—she had full confidence in herself.

Money? She could earn it herself.

Power? The Su family’s influence was top-tier in the southern city.

Just then, the bedroom door was pushed open, and a group of people rushed in.

Leading them was a woman in her forties, dressed in designer clothes, looking elegant and noble.

But right now, she was full of aggression, barging in with a group.

“Get out,” Su Nuanyue said coldly.

The woman panicked and immediately turned to leave.

But stepping out, she suddenly realized—she came to cause trouble! How could she be scared off?

Turning back, she tried to re-enter but was met by a slap.

The woman fell to the floor—Du Li had struck her, her eyes full of killing intent.

“Du Li, you’re just a bodyguard. How dare you hit me?” the woman shouted.

“I’m Miss’s bodyguard, not the Su family’s. Even if it’s you or Su Zhonghai, the old man himself, if you disobey Miss, I’ll still slap you,” Du Li said coldly.

Su Zhonghai was Su Nuanyue’s father.

Du Li’s words made it clear—she only cared about Su Nuanyue.

The woman trembled with rage.

Unable to retaliate against Du Li, she shifted her anger to Qin Yang.

“Who’s this man? Messing around with you in broad daylight. If you don’t give the Su family a proper explanation, you won’t leave here today,” the woman shouted.

Qin Yang touched his chin—did he look easy to bully?

Su Nuanyue smiled slightly, curious about how Qin Yang would deal with her stepmother.

Qin Yang approached, about to act, but then stopped.

“Forget it. I don’t hit pregnant women. Since you’re pregnant, I’ll spare you,” Qin Yang said.

“What?”

Everyone’s expressions changed.

The woman glared at Qin Yang, shouting, “Don’t spout nonsense! How could I be pregnant?”

“Are you serious?”

Su Nuanyue’s face turned ugly.

Qin Yang nodded, “With my medical skills, how could I be wrong? She’s about three weeks along. Tsk, tsk—an elderly pregnancy. Congratulations, wifey, you’re getting a younger brother.”

“Younger brother? Heh.”

Su Nuanyue smiled coldly.

Three weeks?

The woman’s face turned pale.

Wasn’t that around the time she…

Panic crept into her heart. Was she really pregnant?

“But my father had an accident three years ago. He’s… incapable,” Su Nuanyue said.

“Oh, so she cheated. No wonder Su Qiang doesn’t look like you. He’s probably not your father’s son either,” Qin Yang continued.

Su Nuanyue couldn’t help but waver, her heart full of doubt.

If Qin Yang was telling the truth, then this woman was beyond redemption.

The woman’s face showed a trace of panic. She regretted coming to stir trouble now.

At that moment, a man in his fifties walked in. He parted the crowd and asked sternly, “What’s going on here?”

“You’re Nuanyue’s father, right? Don’t be sad. Even if the son isn’t yours, at least the wife is,” Qin Yang said, patting Su Zhonghai’s shoulder.

Su Zhonghai frowned, uncomfortable.

“What do you mean by that?” he asked.

Before Qin Yang could speak, Su Nuanyue said, “Su Qiang might not be your son, and your wife is pregnant from an affair. If you don’t believe it, take them to the hospital for a checkup.”

“What?”

Su Zhonghai trembled.

“Dear, don’t listen to them. I’m not that kind of person. Trust me!” the woman said quickly.

“We’re going to the hospital now,” Su Zhonghai said.

The woman’s face turned white. She forced a smile, “Don’t you trust me? I’ve been with you for so many years.”

“Don’t you have confidence?” Su Zhonghai asked.

The woman quickly shook her head and blurted, “Of course I do! I’m eighty percent sure Su Qiang is your biological son.”

Eighty percent sure?

Everyone was stunned.

The woman realized she had slipped and looked regretful.

“Let’s go. We’ll have a paternity test. Bring Su Qiang back too. I only trust science,” Su Zhonghai said.

He didn’t care whether the woman agreed or not; he ordered her to be taken away.

As for Su Qiang—he was still at the hospital.

Su Zhonghai had come here after getting a call from Su Qiang, planning to cause trouble for Su Nuanyue.

Who knew he’d end up hearing such devastating news?

His heart was full of doubt now.
