Stunned! My Cat Turned Out to Be a Female CEO - Chapter 28:
Chapter 28: Xu Yan’s Confusion! Dog Man Seems A Little Special?
“I can’t accept this!” Xu Yan muttered angrily. “Yes, dreams are always the opposite of reality.” She convinced herself that everything was the dog man’s fault. He must have messed with her, causing her to have such ridiculous dreams.
Xu Yan turned to glare at Lu Fei, who was sleeping soundly, completely unaware of the turmoil he’d stirred in her. Her anger flared. She leaped onto his stomach, fuming. Dog man! How dare he sleep so peacefully while disturbing her mental state! Fine then, neither of them would sleep!
Lu Fei, used to being disturbed by the cat, didn’t even open his eyes. He reached out and grabbed Xu Yan’s two paws. “Stop making trouble. Go to sleep.”
Xu Yan struggled and, in frustration, bit his hand. But as soon as she did, she regretted it—her tongue had actually touched his hand. Wasn’t that the same as licking his hand? Disgusting!
Lu Fei, slightly sobered from the bite, patted her tail gently. “Don’t bite. It hurts.”
“Meow,” Xu Yan complained, dissatisfied. Pain, my foot. She hadn’t even used any force.
Without arguing, Lu Fei placed her back on his stomach and covered her with the quilt. “Sleep.”
Lying on his stomach, she could clearly hear his breathing and heartbeat. Initially, she wanted to mess with him more, but as she lay there, she stopped moving. “Forget it, calm down. Think about yesterday’s unfinished work,” she told herself.
Curled up into a small ball on Lu Fei’s stomach, she squinted her eyes and started thinking ahead about work.
At seven thirty, Lu Fei got up without even opening his eyes, his hands moving to his sides. Xu Yan raised her head, glanced at him with disdain, and meowed lazily. Don’t look around like a fool. You’re lying on your stomach.
Lu Fei rubbed her head. “Get up and eat.”
One person and one cat started their day. Lu Fei went to the bathroom to brush his teeth and wash up. When he returned, Xu Yan pretended to nibble on some cat food mixed with meat.
Dog man. I’ve eaten. Don’t even think about giving me milk!
Lu Fei squatted in front of her, patting her head. “Good girl, just eat well.” Xu Yan frowned and backed away a few steps.
Lu Fei shook his head, chuckling, “Still not used to it yet. No rush.”
After breakfast, Lu Fei left for work. Once he had been gone for about ten minutes, Xu Yan returned to her human form. Her snow-white skin flushed slightly, her beautiful eyes filled with embarrassment as she stared at the door. “Dog man, always touching me! Just wait, I’ll tie you up one day and rub you bald!” Her revenge plan gained another step—tie up the dog man and pet him until he was bald.
Thinking about it made her smile. Happiness! Every time she imagined tormenting Lu Fei, she felt pure joy—more than she had ever experienced before.
After a while, Xu Yan began her usual routine. She took some cat food, poured out part of the water, and even wet the cat litter to make it seem like it had been used. In reality, Lu Fei had already arranged for the cleaners to take care of it, paying an extra 20 yuan each time. The cleaners, paid only for their work, didn’t touch the litter and never said a word. Lu Fei would never realize she had never used it. Still, she stayed cautious.
After double-checking everything, Xu Yan finally left.
At nine thirty, Xu Yan arrived at the company and returned to her office on the top floor. Chen Yu came over to deliver the daily report and glanced at her. “You look pretty good today. Did something good happen yesterday?”
Xu Yan froze. Good thing? What good thing could she have done with that dog man? She had been licked, touched, and teased. Thinking about it made her face flush slightly. She gritted her teeth and said, “No! It was all bad!”
“I’m sorry, CEO Xu. I seem to have overstepped. I just thought you looked… radiant.”
“It’s fine. Go to work.”
Chen Yu turned and left. Xu Yan tucked her long, jet-black hair behind her shoulders and focused on the documents on her desk. Work! With the National Day holiday approaching, if that dog man stayed home all day, it would be harder for her to transform and handle company matters. She needed to get ahead while she could.
But she hadn’t even worked for a few minutes when Chen Yu called again. “CEO Xu, your friend Ms. Zheng Yiyi is here and wants to see you.”
Xu Yan replied coldly, “No.”
Zheng Yiyi’s voice came through the phone, playful and persistent. “CEO Xu, don’t be so cold. I brought you a gift.”
“I’m not interested. Go back the way you came.”
Zheng Yiyi lowered her voice. “I can talk to you about that man.”
Xu Yan hesitated for a moment, then said, “Come in.”
The office door opened, and Zheng Yiyi walked in, carrying a gift bag. “My dad asked me to give you this. We made a lot of money this time. He said I should gift you a Patek Philippe.”
Xu Yan remained indifferent. “Just leave it on the table. Thank your father for me.”
Zheng Yiyi stood by her side, pretending to look sad. “CEO Xu, after more than ten years of friendship, am I not as important as that man now?”
Xu Yan glanced at her and suddenly said, “Touch my hair.”
Zheng Yiyi was startled. “Huh? Don’t you hate people touching you?”
“Touch it.”
Suspicious, Zheng Yiyi asked, “Are you tricking me? Are you going to set me up once I touch it?”
“Are you even worthy of being tricked by me?”
Zheng Yiyi thought for a moment, then humbly admitted, “I’m not.”
“Then just touch it.”
“Fine.” Zheng Yiyi reached out hesitantly, gently touching Xu Yan’s hair. “Your hair is really nice,” she sighed. Xu Yan’s hair was indeed soft, jet black, and beautiful.
Xu Yan’s face remained cold. “I’m good-looking; I don’t need you to tell me. Do you have Parkinson’s? I told you to touch, why are you shaking?”
Zheng Yiyi rolled her eyes. “You’ve been like this since junior high. You hated being touched. Even Tang Shufang couldn’t touch you. I remember when a girl touched your hair, your face stayed dark for three days.”
Despite her hesitation, Zheng Yiyi finally placed her hand on Xu Yan’s head.
“Okay, that’s enough.”
Xu Yan immediately pulled back, irritated. Even with such brief contact, she felt an instinctive resistance from deep within. She hadn’t changed at all. She still couldn’t stand being touched by others.
If she were in her cat form and Zheng Yiyi touched her head, she wouldn’t last a day. But why, when it was that dog man, did she not feel so resistant? Why did she even have such dreams?
