The Ten Heroines are Insane! - Chapter 119:
Chapter 119: Opening Dimensions and Breaking Free from the System’s Rules:
When Xu Ze emerged from the secret chamber within the cave, the first sight that greeted him was a girl in a black robe standing motionlessly outside.
Her blood-red eyes fixed on the entrance, silent and still.
Despite the massacre happening not far from Nalan Mansion and the overwhelming aura of the Holy Master darkening the skies and dimming the sun and moon, Gu Ling remained there, waiting for Xu Ze.
“Demon Lord, I’ve kept you waiting for too long,” Xu Ze said calmly, unsurprised by her presence. The moment he made a breakthrough, he knew Gu Ling would eventually find him.
He stretched out his hand, and the gray flame that had been on Gu Ling returned to his palm. Xu Ze observed the girl with a steady gaze, letting the holy fire dance in his hand.
“Hand over the Ten Thousand Paths Holy Manual,” Gu Ling demanded slowly, extending her thin, pale hand towards him.
Xu Ze hesitated for a moment before pulling out an ancient book and placing it in her hand.
Gu Ling was taken aback.
“What does this mean?” Her expression shifted, not expecting him to surrender the art so easily.
Xu Ze replied indifferently, “It’s simple. My master has come out of seclusion. If you don’t leave now, even I might not be able to protect you.”
“You’re pitying me?” Gu Ling’s voice trembled.
Xu Ze remained silent. There was much he wanted to say, but most of it was buried deep within him.
Gu Ling let out a bitter laugh. “Very well. In that case, I won’t waste the Holy Son’s kindness.”
She put the book away and turned to leave, but the malevolent energy surrounding her flared uncontrollably, like a violent storm gathering strength.
“Holy Son, be careful,” whispered Nalan Qing, who had kept her distance. She knew she couldn’t help and didn’t want to distract Xu Ze by trying.
Watching Gu Ling now cloaked in a menacing aura, Xu Ze only felt helpless and full of regret. He had wronged these women too many times in past lives, all in the name of completing tasks dictated by the system. Now, saving them wasn’t just for them—it was for him too.
As the winds howled around them, Xu Ze’s hand glowed with an almost invisible flame, as clear as water but radiating immense power.
Suddenly, Gu Ling turned and struck Xu Ze with her palm, her attack laced with anger and resentment. The black energy in her strike sought to destroy everything in its path. However, Xu Ze was ready. His clear flame clashed with her dark power, creating an intense distortion between them.
The collision of forces twisted the space around them, creating a vortex that sucked in everything nearby. The ground shattered, trees were uprooted, and even the light around them was swallowed up by the black hole that formed.
“Xu Ze!” Nalan Qing screamed, clutching onto a tree that was nearly torn from the ground. She had never seen anything like this before, not even in her many lives.
The space continued to distort until Xu Ze and Gu Ling were fully consumed by the vortex. Then, just as suddenly as it began, the suction stopped, and the world returned to an eerie calm.
Nalan Qing collapsed, staring blankly at the devastated landscape.
Where Xu Ze and Gu Ling had vanished, tiny points of light floated in the air.
“Sister!” Nalan Yun’s voice rang out from the horizon as she rushed over, landing beside Nalan Qing.
Seeing her sister’s dazed expression and the chaos around them, Nalan Yun realized what had happened. “Did the Holy Son intend to solve this himself?”
…
Twisting, chaotic energy filled the space, with stars far out of reach and infinite darkness surrounding them.
Gu Ling floated in this void, disoriented and confused. She could no longer distinguish between up, down, or any direction.
“What is this place?” she wondered, her mind racing. She clearly remembered fighting Xu Ze just moments ago. How had they ended up here?
“Gu Ling,” came a voice.
Startled, she turned to see a man in white robes with red patterns floating behind her.
“Xu Ze?” she gasped, her eyes narrowing with suspicion. “Where are we? Is this another one of your illusions?”
Xu Ze’s expression was relaxed. “Illusions wouldn’t work on someone like you, Demon Lord.”
Sensing the truth in his words, Gu Ling frowned. The world around them, though unreal, felt real. “Then where are we?”
“This is a place beyond the reach of any rules.” Xu Ze answered with a faint smile.
“What does that mean?” Gu Ling asked, still confused.
“You wouldn’t understand yet,” Xu Ze replied. “But we’re far from the Qiankun Continent now. We’ve entered a space beyond the limits of our world, outside the rules we once knew.”
Xu Ze didn’t want to explain too much. In this new dimension, unbound by the system or the natural laws of their universe, Xu Ze’s soul had broken free. Here, they could do anything, free from worldly constraints.
Gu Ling, still full of questions, couldn’t grasp the magnitude of what Xu Ze was saying. The concepts of galaxies and coordinates were foreign to her. She only felt that this chaos was vast and endless, something no cultivator could ever breach in a lifetime.
As she was lost in thought, Xu Ze floated closer and took her pale hand in his.
Her body shuddered, and she looked up, meeting Xu Ze’s gaze—eyes filled with such gentleness that her heart trembled.
“You’ve worked so hard for nine lifetimes… Thank you, Linger.” Xu Ze whispered softly.
