The Transmigrated Villain, and the Reborn Heroines - Chapter 1:
Chapter 1:
[The villainous supporting role mission failed. The plot has been reset. Host, please start over!]
Zhang Mu was lying on the luxurious bed, listening to the system’s prompt with dismay.
Zhang Mu was originally from Earth. He had a car, a house and was burdened with loans all over. One day, he was suddenly bound by the villain system and transmigrated into a novel called “Dragon’s Return to Capital.”
‘The Dragon’s Return to the Capital’ was a classic urban fantasy novel that revolved around the Ye family, one of the ten leading families, and their banished son, Ye Feng, who had wandered abroad. The plot unfolded with his return, dominating the world.
In this process, the protagonist naturally encountered various beautiful heroines, such as the campus belle, female CEO, daughter of a financial organization, sisters, princesses, empresses, and more. There were dozens of heroines, each beautiful as a goddess.
However, don’t misunderstand.
Zhang Mu didn’t transmigrate as the protagonist but rather as a villainous supporting character with the same name.
As a villainous supporting character, he had an ignorant and reckless personality, was extremely extravagant, and intended to lay his hands on the main heroine, Su Muwan.
The system gave Zhang Mu a simple mission: lie flat and be a salted fish. Playing the original Zhang Mu honestly, and with his villainous and cunning nature, highlights the righteousness and wit of the protagonist, Ye Feng.
Despite repeated battles and defeats, he was eventually framed by Ye Feng in the plot and met his demise.
Once the Mission was accomplished, the system would let Zhang Mu return to the real world. At that time, he wouldn’t have to worry about being manipulated by the protagonist here, and he could also bring back all the cool abilities he had acquired. He would even be rewarded with hundreds of billions of yuan, immortality, and a real protagonist’s halo.
Just a few days ago, Zhang Mu had already planned how to enjoy the lavish life of the 21st century upon his return. However, he never expected that after working so hard for many years, he would suddenly return to the start.
“Dog system, come out and explain, what’s going on?”
[Mission failed; please start over]
The system’s voice was mechanical and stiff, like an artificial retard.
“I worked so hard; how did it fail?”
Zhang Mu was speechless.
[Mission failed; please start over]
Hearing these repetitive voices from the system, Zhang Mu didn’t expect much.
After checking, he found that the system reported that the Mission had failed due to an error in the plot world.
“I don’t believe it won’t work on the second try; it’s definitely easier with experience!”
Deciding to save himself, Zhang Mu started examining the information after resetting the plot.
“Let me see… This time, my plot skipped a large section and went straight to Chapter 21, ‘Today’s Engagement Banquet, Angrily Hitting a Dude in the Face!’ Isn’t this where I, as the villainous supporting role, was hit in the face by the protagonist slapped in the face?”
Zhang Mu remembered quite clearly.
As the villainous supporting role, his character was ignorant and reckless. His possessiveness and obsession with the heroine, Su Muwan, were extremely strong.
This was because Su Muwan and he had been engaged since childhood.
Zhang Mu deeply loves Su Muwan.
However, she didn’t like him.
Today, at the engagement banquet, Su Muwan would break off the engagement with Zhang Mu.
But Zhang Mu got furious and threatened not to let Su Muwan break off the engagement. At that moment, the protagonist, Ye Feng, stepped into the scene and confronted him. Through this face-slapping event, Ye Feng gained fame in the capital.
At this moment, the noise outside the room had already reached Zhang Mu’s ears.
Well, as the eldest son of the Zhang family, one of the ten richest families, and the fiance of Su Muwan, the heiress of the Su family, the engagement banquet was bound to be lively. People from the capital’s upper circles attended.
At such a scene, how could the protagonist not show off?
Knock… Knock…
Just as Zhang Mu was contemplating, there was a sudden knock on the door.
“Who is it?”
No one answered, so Zhang Mu reluctantly opened the door.
Outside stood a young woman with a stunning and captivating figure.
But Zhang Mu frowned, “Zhang Yuxin? Why are you here?”
Zhang Yuxin smiled, “What? Don’t welcome your sister back? Today is your big day, and your sister brought you a gift.”
Saying that, Zhang Yuxin handed Zhang Mu a small palm-sized gift box. Zhang Mu subconsciously took it. But soon, his pupils shrank, and his face filled with disbelief.
A gift?
Zhang Yuxin, his sister, unexpectedly brought him a gift and even smiled at him.
Zhang Mu was utterly dumbfounded.
His sister, Zhang Yuxin, also had a role in the original novel.
She was a villainess.
Although both were villains, Zhang Yuxin looked down on Zhang Mu, and always competed with him for the Zhang family’s inheritance.
In the original novel, the sister engaged in a business rivalry with Ye Feng after his death but ultimately failed.
However, despite being a beautiful sister, she held strong disdain for Zhang Mu, feeling that he had tarnished the Zhang family’s reputation.
In the past, whenever they met, she would criticize him; if she managed to maintain her composure, it was considered good. Not to mention giving him a gift.
At this moment, seeing the intense disbelief on her brother’s face, Zhang Yuxin’s heart felt a pang of pain.
Her eyes flashed with guilt and regret, and she unconsciously dug her nails into her palm.
As a sister, it turned out that she had neglected her dearest brother. The only thing she gave him was a gift and a smile, but the surprise surprised him so much.
How terrible was she in Zhang Mu’s heart?
In her previous life, she regarded Zhang Mu as an ignorant.
But after his death, she realized the extraordinary business plans he had left behind. This made her understand how capable her little brother was.
Feeling a void in her heart, she sorted through his belongings and discovered business plans that seemed almost to predict the future. It was then that she realized her younger brother’s abilities far surpassed her own.
Leveraging those plans, she revitalized the Zhang family and took action against Ye Feng.
Zhang Yuxin finally understood – Zhang Mu wasn’t ignorant, but someone who gave up his opportunity for his sister. Otherwise, with her shallow and weak abilities, how could she have seized the Zhang family from Zhang Mu?
Only after his death did Zhang Yuxin realize what was most beautiful was gone.
Right now, what she truly sought wasn’t the Zhang family but him within the family.
