Chapter 103:

The reputations of Bai Jianyao and Bing Yao were well-known, even on other continents. One was the daughter of the Sword Gathering Sect Master and the most striking young lady in the Beiyang continent. The other was the Holy Maiden of the Jade Lake Holy Land, equally stunning and immensely talented.

When these two gathered, a mere glance at them could be described as a feast for the eyes. However, when two such beauties smiled at the same man, it was far from pleasing.

“Bing Yao is here too.” Bai Jianyao chuckled softly.

“And so is Bai Jianyao.” Bing Yao replied, surprised by the coincidence.

She didn’t mind, though, and turned her attention to Su Changyu, along with Lin Yin and Ye Xiaoxiao, who stood beside him. She had never seen these two before. However, anyone close to Su Changyu couldn’t be ordinary.

Bai Jianyao also noticed them, her smile unfaltering.

“I’ve heard that Young Master Su has gathered many prodigies to strengthen our Azura Dao Domain. Also, all of these cultivators seem amazing.” Bai Jianyao praised.

“Lady Bai, you flatter us.” The others responded, bowing their hands. They had all heard of Bai Jianyao’s fame.

Su Changyu said with a calm smile, “I’ve long wanted to meet Jianyao, but it hasn’t happened until now. It’s a shame.”

“It is indeed a shame,” Bai Jianyao replied, a playful glint in her eyes. “But it’s not too late now. Young Master Su wouldn’t refuse to take me along because of my modest skills, would he?”

Her natural grace made her playful words even more enchanting, captivating even the female cultivators present.

“Of course not.” Su Changyu replied warmly, his tone as refreshing as a spring breeze.

Ye Xiaoxiao was surprised. She had never seen Su Changyu speak so gently before. It seemed that this Lady Bai had a special relationship with him.

Lin Yin felt the same way. After being controlled by Su Changyu’s divine powers, her heart was tied to him.

“Oh, Bing Yao is here too.” Su Changyu said, turning his gaze to her.

Bing Yao felt honored that Su Changyu finally took the initiative to greet her.

“Young Master Su,” she replied, suppressing her joy and smiling softly. “With you in the Azura Dao Domain, our chances of triumph in the Ancient Battlefield are high.”

Hearing this, Su Changyu shook his head gently. “Bing Yao, you jest. What can one person alone achieve?”

Realizing her mistake, Bing Yao’s heart sank.

In her excitement, she hadn’t thought much and had just praised Su Changyu.

The truth was that any significant action on his part couldn’t happen without the gathered talents from the top sects and holy lands.

Everyone knew Su Changyu was the supreme prodigy, and was unmatched in combat. The prodigies present revered him greatly, especially since he had effortlessly killed a Holy Son of the same level. But one couldn’t dismiss others as if they were useless.

Su Changyu sighed inwardly.

Bing Yao’s destiny points seemed to be spent elsewhere, leaving her without much sense.

Bing Yao quickly corrected herself, “It was my mistake. The Azura Dao Domain must unite. I came here hoping Young Master Su would take care of us, as fellow cultivators.”

She lowered her stance, showing Su Changyu respect in front of the others.

However, Su Changyu remained silent, neither agreeing nor disagreeing.

“What about that nine-headed phoenix? How strong is it?” Su Changyu changed the topic.

Bing Yao froze, standing awkwardly, unsure of what to say.

The other prodigies from the holy lands also seemed thoughtful.

Both from the Beiyang continent, yet Su Changyu’s attitude toward the two women was noticeably different.

“Bing Yao.” The younger generation behind her approached.

Although Bing Yao had left them to find Su Changyu, which made them somewhat unhappy, seeing her ignored by Su Changyu made them feel pleased. After all, if she gave up on him, they would have a chance.

This typical sycophant mentality was seen everywhere.

Bing Yao knew she had made a mistake.

Continuing wouldn’t work, so she thought of finding another opportunity to make up for it later.

She didn’t care about the younger prodigies behind her. They fawned over her, but she only cared about Su Changyu’s opinion.

At this moment, the Crimson Sun Sect’s Holy Son chuckled. “The Great Holy Sect’s Holy Son, since everyone is here, why don’t we strike first and eliminate the other two Dao Domains to avoid chaos later?”

His words immediately made the cultivators from the Great Wilderness Dao Domain and the Ancient Heavenly Dao Domain wary. The Azura Dao Domain had the numbers. If a fight broke out, they wouldn’t stand a chance.

“How dare the Azura Dao Domain act so arrogantly in this Ancient Battlefield?” A cold and arrogant voice sounded.

Everyone turned to look. The Great Wilderness Dao Domain cultivators perked up.

“It’s Young Master Chu!”

“Young Master Chu from Taiyi Sect is here!”

“Great! With him here, let’s see how arrogant the Azura Dao Domain can be!”

Chu He appeared on another mountain peak, leading a group of Great Wilderness Dao Domain cultivators.

“Finally here.” Su Changyu thought, his gaze meeting Chu He’s.

“You are Su Changyu?” Chu He examined him coldly, like an emperor overlooking his realm. He had already learned about the Azura Dao Domain’s situation on his way here.

“It seems the Azura Dao Domain is still unimpressive. Middle-stage Heavenly King Realm? Even with extraordinary combat strength, how strong could you be? After all, everyone here can challenge across realms. Being challenged across realms has never happened to us.”

Chu He’s gaze shifted to Lin Yin. “Miss Lin, don’t worry. I will kill this despicable man and avenge you!”

Whether or not he felt betrayed, he only wanted to kill Su Changyu now.

Su Changyu smiled playfully. “It’s our first meeting. How do you know I’m a despicable person?”

Chu He snorted. “Hmph! You kidnapped Miss Lin. What else could you be? The Azura Dao Domain has truly declined, filled with people who are all reputation and no substance.”

“What did you say!?” The hot-tempered Crimson Sun Sect’s Holy Son exclaimed, his aura surging.

Boom!

Flames shot up to the sky, and a fifty-foot pillar of luck rose. He was covered in fire like a war god, he stepped forward to attack Chu He. In mid-air, the flames formed a hundred-foot-tall lion beast around him.

“Die!!!” The Crimson Sun Sect’s Holy Son punched fiercely.

The spectators’ faces changed. This punch seemed to shake mountains and rivers, filled with powerful intent, and the added fire essence boosted its might to the peak. Anyone below a Heavenly Emperor Realm would die.

But someone beside Chu He met the punch head-on, and the two were evenly matched.

Although the overall strength of the Azura Dao Domain was weaker than the Great Wilderness Dao Domain, the prodigies around Su Changyu were carefully selected and couldn’t be easily defeated.

After a while, the Crimson Sun Sect’s Holy Son even began to suppress his opponent.

“Hmph!” Chu He snorted, stepping forward. He raised his hand, and a sword light shot up like a silver waterfall, cutting through the battlefield.

The Crimson Sun Sect’s Holy Son’s expression changed drastically. He roared, and the beast behind him transformed from a fierce lion into a dragon turtle.

Boom!

The sword strike was mostly deflected by the dragon turtle’s defense.

Even so, the Crimson Sun Sect’s Holy Son was sent flying, crashing into several mountains before stopping.

Chu He frowned. He intended to kill the Red Sun Saint Son to establish his dominance but didn’t expect him to be so strong.

“What formidable strength!” The young masters of the Tai Xu Sect exclaimed, their faces changing.

The Crimson Sun Sect’s Holy Son was indeed arrogant, but his strength was among the top three in their group. Yet, he was defeated by a single move from Chu He. This outcome far exceeded their expectations.

Bai Jianyao said softly, “Taiyi Sect has always been a formidable opponent in the Ancient Battlefield. This force seems to specialize in two major paths, and each generation’s top prodigies are extremely powerful…”

When she finished speaking, Lin Yin added, “Taiyi Sect is most famous for the paths of Taoism and the Sword. In the Great Wilderness Dao Domain, there’s a saying ‘one book and one sword will save the world.’ Most of the supreme prodigies in the world come from Taiyi Sect, and Chu He is the most talented among them in generations, known as a young supreme with the demeanor of a heavenly emperor.”

Bai Jianyao glanced at Lin Yin in surprise.

Su Changyu smiled and explained, “Her name is Lin Yin, and she is also from the Great Wilderness Dao Domain.”

Bai Jianyao nodded slightly and said no more.

Lin Yin said softly, “Young Master Su, Chu He practices the Tai Xu Sword, a divine-level technique of immense power. It’s rumored that he has reached the stage where he can break the void with a single sword.”

Su Changyu smiled faintly. “The Tai Xu Sword? Friend Feng, he has learned the signature technique of your sect.”

The Young Sect Master of Tai Xu looked helpless. Their sect was named Tai Xu Sect, and Chu He practiced the Tai Xu Sword. However, he was somewhat surprised that Lin Yin knew so much and was willing to tell Su Changyu.

Wasn’t she from the Great Wilderness Dao Domain?

Not only did the Young Sect Master of Tai Xu think this, but everyone else did too.

Ye Xiaoxiao was already numb to it. Lin Yin’s rapid change left her bewildered. However, being on the Azura Dao Domain’s side, she didn’t dare speak a word for the Great Wilderness Dao Domain at this time.

Chu He called out coldly, “Su Changyu! How long are you going to hide? If you know what’s good for you, release Miss Lin immediately. I might consider letting you live.”

Lin Yin said indifferently, as if speaking to a stranger, “Young Master Chu, I think you misunderstood. I chose to stay by Young Master Su’s side voluntarily.”

When Chu He heard her words, he was stunned.

He hadn’t expected Lin Yin to say that.

This wasn’t right; it couldn’t be.

Chu He said in a deep voice, “Miss Lin, you don’t need to be afraid. With me here, even if all the so-called prodigies of the Azura Dao Domain attack, I can ensure your safety!”

Lin Yin shook her head. “I’m telling the truth. Besides, Young Master Chu, we don’t have much of a relationship. Please respect yourself.”

Hearing her words, Chu He nearly spat out blood.

[Chu He’s mentality has been damaged, you obtained 200 Villain Points]

He, a prodigy of Taiyi Sect was adored by countless beauties, had never been spoken to like this. Even in the Great Wilderness Dao Domain, he had some interactions with Lin Yin; their relationship shouldn’t be this distant!

“It turns out he likes the girl beside the Great Holy Sect’s Holy Son.”

“But it seems she doesn’t like him back.”

“It looks like she has a close relationship with the Great Holy Sect’s Holy Son.”

“I get it, he loves her, but she loves him.”

“Damn! I get it too!”

Voices of discussion rose around them.

Anyone with a keen eye could see what was happening.

Lin Yin was indifferent to Chu He but very intimate with Su Changyu.

The issue was obvious!

Surprised, they couldn’t help but marvel at Su Changyu’s luck with women.

It was something they couldn’t compare to. It was one thing to be less talented and powerful, but to also be less lucky with women was infuriating. Yet, thinking about it, even someone as excellent as Chu He couldn’t win her over.

“Chu He is truly pitiful.”

“He’s lost his beloved woman. He should just find a place to end it.”

“Yeah, he’s still here shouting, looking like a clown.”

Damn it!

[Chu He’s mentality has been damaged, you obtained 100 Villain Points]

“Su Changyu!” Chu He’s gaze turned cold, and a murderous aura emerged. “I will kill you!”

Su Changyu smiled faintly and turned to Lin Yin. “Miss Lin, I’m a bit thirsty. Your tea-making skills are good. Could you make me a cup of tea?”

Lin Yin nodded. “Please wait a moment, Young Master Su. I happen to have some fine tea leaves with me.”

Saying this, she took out a tea set and began preparing tea meticulously.

For people of their status, drinking tea and discussing the Dao was common. However, making tea was usually done by maids.

But seeing Lin Yin’s natural demeanor, the crowd suddenly felt a sense of illusion. This wasn’t a prodigious girl of the heavens; she seemed more like a maid beside Su Changyu.
