The Villain Plundered the Children of Destiny’s Luck - Chapter 42:
Chapter 42: The Blood Slave Seal
The night sky was pitch black, with the silver moon hanging high, casting its cold light across the earth and draping the land in a pale glow. After the bustle of the day, Xuanfeng City was now sunk in silence and darkness.
On a rooftop outside the Lu Family estate, Qin Xiao’s aged face was illuminated faintly under the moonlight. His dark eyes shone with a chilling light as he stared coldly at the Lu residence. Dressed in a blue robe, he made no effort to hide his appearance or identity.
“Under this dark night sky, who knows how much evil hides in the shadows,” he murmured. With a sweep of his divine sense, the entire Lu Family compound appeared clearly within his mind.
“There are four Innate Realm martial artists here. Their strength is not to be underestimated.”
According to the information he had, the Lu Family should have five Innate Realm experts. But now, only four were present. One of them must be stationed elsewhere and had not returned.
Lightly tapping his foot against the rooftop, Qin Xiao’s figure shot forward silently, like an eagle gliding through the night. In the blink of an eye, he slipped into the Lu Family estate and appeared before the residence of one of their Innate Realm martial artists. He pushed the door open and walked straight in.
Inside sat a gray-robed elder in his sixties, cross-legged in meditation. This was Lu Baichuan, the Lu Family’s Great Elder. Seeing Qin Xiao walk in uninvited, Lu Baichuan froze for a moment before erupting in fury. “Who are you? Who let you in here? Get out!”
“Hmph!” Qin Xiao snorted coldly. Without a word of nonsense, he sealed the surrounding space with his Spiritual Power, ensuring no sound escaped. Then, with a flick of his finger, he shot a seal straight toward Lu Baichuan.
Startled, Lu Baichuan quickly tried to dodge, his true qi surging. But to his horror, he realized his body could not move at all. A terrifying pressure locked him in place, leaving him no choice but to watch the seal close in.
“My life is over!”
He shut his eyes in despair, only to realize moments later that he was still alive. The seal had not killed him but had instead sealed all of his true qi.
“Who are you? What business do you have with my Lu Family?” Lu Baichuan asked. Since this man had not killed him outright, he must have some purpose.
“You people dared to strike at my Qin Family, and now you pretend not to know me?” Qin Xiao’s lips curled into a cold smile, his tone laced with murderous intent.
“You… you’re Qin Xiao? Impossible!” Lu Baichuan’s eyes widened in disbelief. Their Lu Family had only acted against the Qin Family recently. Wasn’t it said that Qin Xiao had only broken through to the Innate Realm three years ago? But the aura before him was clearly not Innate—it was Spiritual Power Realm! Qin Xiao had hidden himself well.
“So it really was you,” Qin Xiao said coldly, his suspicions fully confirmed by Lu Baichuan’s reaction.
“Patriarch Qin, this is a misunderstanding!” Lu Baichuan’s heart sank at Qin Xiao’s icy tone, and he hurriedly tried to explain.
“Misunderstanding? You injured my clansmen, killed my guards, destroyed my shops, stole my goods—and now you dare call it a misunderstanding?” Qin Xiao’s expression darkened as his aura pressed down heavily, suffocating Lu Baichuan.
“This matter was indeed our Lu Family’s fault. We are willing to compensate. Please, give us a chance,” Lu Baichuan pleaded, his legs buckling as he dropped to his knees before Qin Xiao in terror.
“You have only two choices. First, submit to me. The Lu Family will become a vassal of the Qin Family. Second, I will slaughter every last one of you. Choose,” Qin Xiao said coldly. Though not fond of killing, he would not hesitate if forced.
Lu Baichuan fell silent. This was not a decision he could make on his own.
“Since you refuse, I will start the slaughter…” Qin Xiao said, raising his hand threateningly.
“Wait! I agree! Patriarch Qin, please don’t!” Lu Baichuan cried out in panic.
“Hmph! At least you know your place. But to prevent you from acting recklessly, I must leave a mark on you.” Qin Xiao formed a complex series of seals, and before him appeared a blood-red mark that radiated a sinister aura—the Blood Slave Seal.
The seal shot straight into Lu Baichuan’s body.
“Ahhh!” Lu Baichuan screamed in agony, collapsing to the ground and writhing uncontrollably. The pain was like thousands of needles piercing deep into his bones, unbearable beyond measure.
After half an incense stick’s time, he finally recovered, trembling as he looked at Qin Xiao with eyes full of fear. That sensation of being unable to live yet unable to die was too horrifying.
“That was the Blood Slave Seal. If you ever dare act against my Qin Family again, I will make you suffer for ten days and ten nights until you die,” Qin Xiao said coldly before turning to leave.
In the same way, he controlled two more of the Lu Family’s Innate Realm martial artists with the Blood Slave Seal. Finally, he headed toward the residence of the Lu Family’s Patriarch, Lu Tianxiong.
“Dear, it’s late. We should rest now,” a gentle female voice sounded from within Lu Tianxiong’s room. It was his wife, Ling Ziyan.
“Mm,” Lu Tianxiong responded, wrapping his arm around her waist as they moved toward the bed.
“You may not be able to rest tonight,” another voice suddenly echoed inside the room. The door was flung open, and an old man in his fifties or sixties strode in before closing it behind him.
“Who are you? How dare you trespass into my Lu Family!” Lu Tianxiong roared, shielding Ling Ziyan behind him, his true qi surging as he prepared to strike.
But the aura of the intruder was overwhelming, terrifying like a primordial beast. Even a single glance made Lu Tianxiong’s scalp prickle with dread. From the sheer pressure alone, he knew this man was beyond the Innate Realm—this was the Spiritual Power Realm. He was no match.
“I am Qin Xiao, and tonight I’ve come for vengeance,” Qin Xiao said without wasting further words. With a swift motion of his fingers, he sent out two strikes. Before Lu Tianxiong and Ling Ziyan could react, their true qi was completely sealed.
Then, forming another Blood Slave Seal, he pressed it onto Lu Tianxiong.
The moment the seal entered, Lu Tianxiong collapsed to the ground, writhing in agony just like Lu Baichuan, screaming endlessly.
“Husband, what’s happening to you?” Ling Ziyan cried in terror, dropping down to cradle him in her arms as he twisted in unbearable pain.
