The Villain’s Inner Thoughts Were Exposed, and the Female Leads All Lost It - Chapter 1:
Chapter 1: A Villain’s Hellish Beginning
Lin Fan furiously pedaled his battered electric bike, a wreck where everything made noise except the bell. Rain streamed across his face, blurring his vision until the world looked as though it had been covered by a sheet of cheap frosted glass.
“Damn it! Who the hell delivers food in weather like this?” he cursed under his breath. Wiping the rain from his face, he carefully swerved around a puddle on the sidewalk large enough to raise fish in. His phone’s navigation system continued droning mechanically, “You have deviated from the route. Recalculating…”
“Deviated my ass! Don’t you know the road ahead is closed for construction? Stupid app. I’m uninstalling you sooner or later!” Lin Fan complained as he struggled to weave through gaps in the evening rush-hour traffic.
Meanwhile, he was doing the calculations in his head. Being late with this order would cost him 5 yuan, and there went his 50-yuan perfect attendance bonus for the month as well. His life was just like this miserable electric bike. The battery was always running low, and something was always going wrong at the worst possible moment.
The glittering sign of an upscale residential complex was finally right ahead. Lin Fan breathed a sigh of relief and twisted the throttle all the way, intending to rush over. At that exact moment, a black sedan suddenly turned right from the side without the slightest warning, appearing like a ghost out of nowhere.
“Fuck! You think you’re so great just because you drive a luxury car?!”
The glaring headlights blinded him. The blaring horn and the shriek of tires scraping against the road merged into a deafening symphony of death. Lin Fan instinctively squeezed the brakes with all his strength, but on the rain-slick road, the electric bike immediately began to dance a wild waltz.
The next instant, both Lin Fan and the bike were flung through the air.
The world spun violently around him.
The last thing he felt was his forehead becoming intimately acquainted with the cold, unforgiving curb. Agonizing pain exploded through his skull, and his vision plunged into darkness. Somewhere in the distance, he could still vaguely hear the engine of the sedan as it sped away…
[Damn it… Next time… I’m never accepting an order headed in this direction again…]
That was Lin Fan’s final thought before consciousness abandoned him.
His awareness seemed to sink into a pot of thick, viscous porridge. Everything was chaotic and strangely warm, with countless unfamiliar fragments drifting through the haze.
He had no idea how much time passed before a massive torrent of information violently forced its way into his mind. His head throbbed as though it were about to split apart.
Lin Fan…
He was still Lin Fan.
However, he was no longer the delivery rider who had to calculate every last yuan while struggling through wind and rain.
Now he was… the sole heir of the Lin Group?
His net worth…
Just how many zeros were there behind that number?
[Holy shit!]
Lin Fan abruptly sat upright on a bed so soft he felt as though he could drown in it. His eyes swept across his surroundings in disbelief.
The bedroom was enormous, spacious enough to race horses through. A thick carpet covered the floor, while abstract paintings hung from the walls. Lin Fan stared at one of them for a long while, only to conclude that its twisted lines looked remarkably similar to the path his electric bike had taken moments before the crash.
Even the air seemed to carry a strange fragrance…
The fragrance of money.
“I… hit the jackpot? One crash and I smashed my way straight into a wealthy family?” Lin Fan pinched his thigh hard enough to make himself grimace. “It hurts! This isn’t a dream! Haha! I’ve finally struck it rich!”
Before his laughter could fully escape his mouth, an icy mechanical voice devoid of emotion suddenly sounded inside his mind.
[Ding! Host’s soul fusion has been detected as complete. Consciousness has fully awakened.]
[The universe’s one and only “Survival Villain Counterattack System” has been successfully bound by force!]
[System?]
Lin Fan froze.
As a veteran reader of online novels, his heart immediately began pounding with excitement.
[A counterattack system! The standard transmigrator package! So I’m supposed to punch the rich and handsome, kick the Children of Destiny, rescue fallen women along the way… No, wait, rescue down-and-out female leads, and then soar straight to the peak of life? Come on! My blade has been thirsting for blood for far too long!]
[System Core Objective: Assist the host in surviving within this extremely dangerous fused world.]
[World Background: The world you currently inhabit was created through an unknown cosmic phenomenon that fused the settings of multiple urban-themed novels, including “The Ice-Cold CEO’s Personal Soldier King,” “My Stunning Celebrity Wife,” “Urban Tycoon: Empire of Wealth,” and “Superpowered Agent on Campus.” The structure of this world is highly complex, and its danger level is extremely high.]
“…Fused? A fused world? A world made from novels?” Lin Fan was dumbfounded. Wasn’t this development moving a little too fast?
[Host identity confirmed: Lin Fan. Within this fused world, due to an inexplicable cosmic coincidence or perhaps sheer authorial laziness, you have become the wealthy second-generation Villain named Lin Fan who appears across multiple works. Simply put, you are a model worker of the villain industry, diligently dedicating yourself to the face-slapping careers of multiple Children of Destiny.]
Lin Fan’s vision nearly went black again.
[So I’m not some unique domineering CEO at all? I’m… a public-use Villain? What the hell am I, some mass-produced Villain sold by the kilogram?!]
[Main Mission: Follow the core plot points of the original novels, complete the “Villainous Actions” assigned by the System, advance the plot, and maintain the fundamental stability of the Worldline.]
[Mission Rewards: Successfully completing missions will grant skills, attributes, items, and other rewards, as well as Plot Points.]
[Failure Penalty: Failing a mission or severely deviating from the plot will result in the deduction of Plot Points.]
[Life-or-Death Threshold: The host begins with 10 Plot Points. When Plot Points reach zero, the System will determine that the host has lost all value of existence and initiate complete erasure. Only by surviving until the main plotlines of all original novels have concluded can the host return to the real world with the final rewards.]
The bucket of cold water that had just been poured over Lin Fan seemed to instantly freeze into shards of ice, each one stabbing straight into his heart.
[This isn’t a counterattack at all! You want me to follow the plot? And not just any plot, but the Villain’s plot that leads straight to death?!]
Lin Fan screamed internally, [Damn System! Have you even read the original novels? In “The Ice-Cold CEO’s Personal Soldier King,” the Soldier King Ye Chen breaks my legs! In “My Stunning Celebrity Wife,” that big shot Lin Feng ruins my reputation and leaves me with nothing! In “Urban Tycoon: Empire of Wealth,” I lose my entire fortune! And in “Superpowered Agent on Campus,” a superpowered freak humiliates me in public like I’m some circus monkey! You expect me to follow those plots and survive until the finale? You might as well erase me right now!]
[Host, please remain calm.]
The System’s voice remained perfectly steady.
[It is precisely because the host’s endings in the original novels are so miserable that you require this System’s assistance to survive. Every successfully completed mission will provide rewards that strengthen you and accumulate Plot Points. This is your sole chance of survival. The essence of counterattack lies in finding a path to survival while repeatedly courting death.]
[Survival my ass!]
Lin Fan wanted to cry but had no tears. This was even more despairing than receiving 9 consecutive negative reviews while delivering food.
[Initial mission is now being issued. This mission is based on the core plot of Chapter 35 of “The Ice-Cold CEO’s Personal Soldier King.”]
[Mission: At exactly 8:00 p.m. tonight, the host must arrive punctually at VIP Room 888 of Imperial KTV and verbally harass your fiancée, the Ice-Cold CEO Su Wan. Reference dialogue: “Wanwan, what’s the point of accompanying these old men? Come back with this Young Master!” After Soldier King Ye Chen appears, you must directly provoke him. Reference dialogue: “Where did a loser like you crawl out from? You dare interfere in this Young Master’s business?”]
[Mission Reward: Skill “Beginner Driving Proficiency.” Plot Points +5.]
[Mission Failure: Deduct 10 Plot Points. Warning: The host possesses only 10 initial Plot Points. Reaching zero will result in immediate erasure!]
[Imperial KTV! Chapter 35!]
The relevant “classic scene” instantly surfaced from Lin Fan’s newly inherited memories.
The original Lin Fan had stormed into the place and caused trouble, only to be knocked down by Ye Chen, who just happened to be there. Afterward, he was tossed out the front entrance like a torn sack, becoming the perfect backdrop for Ye Chen’s heroic rescue of the beauty.
It could practically be called the Waterloo of his entire career as a Villain.
And now Lin Fan had to personally reenact that humiliating chapter of history?
If he refused, he would die immediately?
“What the hell is the point of rewarding me with ‘Beginner Driving Proficiency’?!” Lin Fan stared at the row of dazzling luxury cars stored in the garage within his memories, and his heart practically bled. “I have a chauffeur when I go out and a valet when I park. Why the hell would I drive myself? And what, am I supposed to drive manual? I haven’t touched a steering wheel since getting my license!”
His gaze landed on the electronic clock beside the bed. It was studded with tiny diamonds and practically radiated the words, “I’m expensive.”
7:35 p.m.
Time was running out.
The order to visit Hell KTV had arrived.
Whether he liked it or not, he had to accept it.
Lin Fan drew a deep breath of that money-scented air and slowly exhaled.
“Damn it… Survival… At least I’m officially part of the mighty army of transmigrators with systems now…”
Gritting his teeth, he climbed out of bed and headed toward a walk-in closet that looked more like the display section of a luxury department store.
“Imperial KTV, right? Ye Chen, right? Just wait… I’m coming over to deliver your experience points! All I ask is that you go easy on me…”
