The Villain’s Wishes Backfire and the Protagonists Take the Hit - Chapter 7:
Chapter 7:
Chen Zhuo deliberately steered the conversation toward Ye Fei.
Jiang Qiuli was a student in Class 3 of Public Administration, while Ye Fei was the class monitor of the same class.
The two of them would have plenty of chances to interact in the future.
So, he needed to find a way to ruin Ye Fei’s image in Jiang Qiuli’s eyes.
“Who?” Jiang Qiuli was taken aback.
“If I’m not mistaken, it should be Ye Fei from the second year. Do you know him?” Chen Zhuo asked, pretending to be clueless.
“Who did you say?” The moment she heard the name Ye Fei, Jiang Qiuli’s eyes widened noticeably.
“Ye Fei from the second year… I think he’s a class monitor of some class. I remember him a little. It should be him,” Chen Zhuo continued to feign ignorance.
“H-he’s our class monitor. What happened to him?”
“It seems like he either fell from a height or got hit by a car. He has obvious external injuries,” Chen Zhuo answered seriously, then added, “Since he’s your class monitor, how about we go ask about his condition?”
“Okay.”
This time, Jiang Qiuli didn’t refuse.
As the Son of Destiny, Ye Fei was known for being an extreme bootlicker. Whenever something happened in class, he would go out of his way to please the girls.
Because of that, his image among the girls was fairly good.
Chen Zhuo led Jiang Qiuli to the entrance of the emergency room and asked the medical staff at the door, “How is the patient who was brought in just now?”
“Hm? Didn’t you just leave? What’s your relationship with him?”
“We’re his classmates.”
“Then wait at the door for a while. We still need to conduct further examinations. The injuries on other parts of his body aren’t too serious, but we still don’t understand why he’s unconscious. There might be a brain injury.”
“Alright.”
Chen Zhuo let out a sigh.
What a pity… truly a pity.
His injuries weren’t that serious after all.
“Sigh, let’s go sit over there and wait,” Chen Zhuo said, pointing to a row of chairs along the wall.
“Mm.” Jiang Qiuli nodded obediently.
The two sat on the hospital chairs as time passed quickly.
Sitting beside Chen Zhuo, Jiang Qiuli finally grew tired.
The ups and downs of the entire day had exhausted her mentally. She had been holding on all this time.
Now that she was sitting still, drowsiness gradually overtook her.
Her eyelids began to droop.
In the end, she couldn’t hold on any longer. Her head leaned against the wall, and she fell asleep.
But the smooth wall couldn’t support her head. Within two minutes, her head slowly slipped and rested on Chen Zhuo’s shoulder.
Chen Zhuo turned his head and quietly observed Jiang Qiuli’s face.
Her breathing was even, and the strands of hair on her forehead moved gently with each breath.
She looked very sweet.
“Sleep well… later, the great villain will come to collect interest,” Chen Zhuo murmured softly, not disturbing her, letting her rest on his shoulder.
After more than 40 minutes, the young doctor who had spoken to Chen Zhuo earlier walked out.
He came up to Chen Zhuo.
Jiang Qiuli was so exhausted that she didn’t wake up even when someone approached.
“Are you Ye Fei’s classmate?”
“Yes.”
“His external injuries from the car accident are not too serious. He has a dislocated arm and a few mildly fractured ribs. After simple reduction and fixation, he should recover with rest.”
The young doctor continued, “However, there’s one issue. For some reason, he hasn’t woken up yet. He seems similar to your situation, but unlike you, he underwent a brain examination, and we didn’t find any problems.”
Chen Zhuo felt a trace of regret after hearing this.
So there really was no problem.
After speaking with Chen Zhuo, the young doctor took the documents and went to find Ye Fei’s family.
After learning that this was a traffic accident case and the family hadn’t arrived yet, with only the driver and the insurance company present, the doctor asked a nurse to call the relevant people over to sign some documents.
When the police brought the driver and the insurance personnel over, Chen Zhuo was stunned.
The driver turned out to be an employee from his supermarket who handled deliveries.
This female employee was 48 years old, with a strong, muscular build.
She used to work on construction sites and later delivered goods for a cafeteria.
Since Chen Zhuo’s supermarket needed fresh fruit delivered daily, he had hired her.
She worked two jobs, splitting her time between the cafeteria and his supermarket.
Chen Zhuo had never expected that the person who hit Ye Fei with a car would actually be his own employee.
“Boss, what are you doing here?” The female employee spotted Chen Zhuo sitting on the chair as soon as she arrived.
“You hit my classmate,” Chen Zhuo explained casually.
The female employee quickly apologized, “I’m sorry. I didn’t expect him to suddenly faint in the middle of the road. I couldn’t brake in time…”
Chen Zhuo waved his hand, “It’s fine. You did well.”
