The audience erupted in even more enthusiastic applause.
The emcee, still holding the microphone, turned to Chen Lang. “Mr. Chen, did you hear that? Ms. Xiao said she will! She will!”
Chen Lang’s smile remained fixed, but inside, he was unraveling. Something was definitely off. Xiao Mingyue was supposed to be reluctant, maybe even angry, yet here she was, smiling?
