“Who is she?” Ling Xue pointed toward Xiao Liu.

Why was there another woman beside Gu Feng?

Gu Feng instinctively placed his hand on Xiao Liu’s head. “Alright, Xiao Liu, stop messing around. I have business to attend to.”

The tenderness in his tone, and the way he coaxed Xiao Liu, made Ling Xue tremble with anger. Her voice quivered with a hint of tears as she asked, “Gu Feng…”

“Stop right there, Ling Xue,” Gu Feng said sharply, his gaze turning cold as he looked at her. “What do you think you’re doing?”

Was this female lead losing her mind?

“If you act like this, people will misunderstand,” he added. Although there were no outsiders present, getting involved with the original female lead still felt wrong to him.

“If you need to change clothes, Xiao Liu has a few sets that might fit you.” Gu Feng said, pulling out a few of his own clothes that he had resized to be smaller.

“No!” Xiao Liu clutched the clothes tightly, refusing to hand them over. She was naturally protective and alert, especially as a wolf. From the moment Ling Xue glanced at her, Xiao Liu had sensed that this woman was bad news.

“Forget it…” Ling Xue lowered her head, looking fragile. She didn’t want to wear someone else’s clothes, especially not those made from Gu Feng’s garments.

“Gu Feng, I’m injured,” she said after a long pause, her eyes filled with sorrow. “Would it be alright if I travel with you?”

Ling Xue’s heart skipped a beat. So, he was interested in her after all.

“Yes!” she replied without hesitation.

“Good.” Gu Feng said, stepping forward and grabbing her hand.

Ling Xue lowered her head shyly, her heart pounding. She was just about to say something when she suddenly realized something was wrong.

Looking down, she saw a white silk rope had bound her hands together.

Gu Feng had even tied a neat knot.

“Gu Feng, what are you doing?” Ling Xue tried to pull away, but Gu Feng held the other end of the rope firmly.

“I’m taking you to the place I mentioned,” Gu Feng said with a mischievous smile. “You agreed to come along, but I don’t trust you, so it’s safer this way.”

After all, the snow tribe would probably prefer a live tomb raider.

“Huh?” Ling Xue was dumbfounded as she was pulled forward, stumbling as she went, her mind blank.
