Su Mu looked at his father, Chairman Su, and saw suspicion in his eyes. His mind raced as he carefully considered how to explain himself.
Chairman Su, seeing Su Mu’s hesitation and stammering, had already formed a rough guess in his mind, and anger started to rise in his heart.
“What’s mine is mine. I can give it to you, but you can’t take it yourself!”

“This is all my fault.”
His eyes were now filled with regretful tears as he looked at his father.
“Father, it’s all my fault. Please don’t blame Brother.”
“I understand my mistake. I won’t do this again in the future.”
“Father, please forgive me, for the sake of my intentions to help Su Clan Group.”
As soon as Su Mu apologized sincerely, the anger in Chairman Su’s heart started to fade.
After all, Su Mu was the child he had raised by his side since birth—always obedient, intelligent, and respectful.
He didn’t want to be too harsh on him.

Then, he turned to scold Su Chen.
“Su Chen, did you hear that?!”
“Su Mu was never involved in the company’s management!”

“Is that not enough?!”
“Now, can you stop acting crazy?!”
Su Chen dusted off his completely clean clothes and casually sat back down.
“See? I told you. I’m a shareholder of Su Clan Group, and even I haven’t participated in management.”
“How could Su Mu be allowed to manage the company?”

“From now on, just like Su Mu, you must set aside two days every month to participate in company operations.”
Su Mu frowned in dissatisfaction.
“No way! I’d rather use that time to rest than waste it fooling around at Su Clan Group!”

“Chairman Su, rest assured, I won’t interfere with your management.”
Chairman Su clenched his teeth.

He had begged his father for years to let him come to the company and gain experience.
Yet now, Su Chen didn’t even want to come, and Father was forcing him to?!
Su Chen lowered his head, his expression unreadable.
Looking at his father’s unyielding attitude, he sighed.
“Fine, fine. Since you’re so sincerely inviting me, I’ll reluctantly stop by the company every now and then.”
Chairman Su nearly collapsed from anger.
Refusing to waste another word on Su Chen, he went back to handling his paperwork.
Several days later, when Su Chen returned home from school in the afternoon, he found an unusual sight.
His father, Chairman Su, along with Liu Yanan, Su Lili, and Su Mu, were all at home.
And sitting across from them…
Were Wang Hai and his daughter, Wang Yiyi.
The atmosphere was incredibly tense.
Su Chen immediately understood.
This was about compensating Wang Yiyi for what happened at the Su family banquet… and discussing the marriage alliance between the Su and Wang families.
