You Choose an Adopted Son, I Choose Madness - Chapter 94:
Chapter 94: 10% of Su Corporation’s Shares
Su Lili and Su Qiqi were stunned by Su Chen’s words. They didn’t own any shares of Su Corporation! Su Chen was deliberately making things difficult for them! He had no intention of letting them go! They were furious, but anger was useless. Their lives were still in Su Chen’s hands.
Desperate, they turned to their father, Su Zhenxing, pleading for help.
“Dad, please save us!”
“Dad, only you can help us now!”
“Dad, you can’t just stand by and watch us die!”
Su Zhenxing’s expression was dark, and he remained silent. He hadn’t expected Su Chen to ask for shares in Su Corporation. Of course, Su Chen would inherit shares eventually—what he was demanding now was something he would naturally receive in the future. On the surface, shares weren’t as immediately practical as money. But Su Zhenxing understood their true importance. Shares represented control and decision-making power in the company.
His anger flared. Ignoring the desperate cries of Su Lili and Su Qiqi, he looked at Su Chen with a cold face and said, “Su Chen, you already own 1% of Su Corporation’s shares. Don’t be too greedy.”
Su Chen didn’t bother responding to his scolding. Instead, he gently pressed down on Su Lili and Su Qiqi’s heads, bending them further out of the window while speaking in a soft, reassuring tone.
“It looks like we should just go together.”
“Don’t worry. The three of us can talk and laugh along the way—it’ll make time pass quickly.”
After their earlier negotiation, Su Lili and Su Qiqi had regained hope that they could survive. They were convinced that as long as they offered enough, Su Chen wouldn’t really take them down with him. But now, their father had refused Su Chen’s demand?! Did that mean he was willing to watch them die?! Did he really believe they weren’t his biological daughters and was ready to let them go?!
Their tears, which had finally stopped, burst forth again, flowing like a flood.
“Dad! We are really your daughters, your biological daughters!”
“Dad! You can’t just ignore us!”
Su Zhenxing’s face darkened even further, turning nearly black. Once again, he felt as though his entire body was glowing green with humiliation. He was so angry that he almost wanted to shout—“Su Chen, just let Su Lili and Su Qiqi die!”
But reason held him back.
In truth, he didn’t fully believe that they weren’t his daughters. After all, Su Lili had his facial features and mouth, while Su Qiqi had his eyes and nose. What truly enraged him was Liu Yanan secretly keeping her old lover’s photo for so many years—and the fact that Su Qiqi, just like that man, had studied painting.
Still, he couldn’t bear to watch Su Lili and Su Qiqi die. More importantly, if they died, Su Chen would also fall with them. He couldn’t afford to let that happen.
Gritting his teeth, he glared at Su Chen and said viciously, “Fine, Su Chen. I’ll transfer 10% of the company’s shares to you.”
“But I need to confirm that Su Lili and Su Qiqi are truly my daughters first. I’ll take them for a paternity test. Once the results confirm they are mine, I’ll transfer the shares to you.”
“If you agree, then let them go.”
“If you don’t, then take them with you. I won’t stop you.”
Before he even finished speaking, Su Chen abruptly lifted both Su Lili and Su Qiqi and tossed them back into the room. The force of his action was so sudden that neither Su Zhenxing nor Liu Yanan had time to react—they nearly fell backward in shock.
Casually rubbing his wrist, Su Chen turned to look at Su Zhenxing with an expression of mild annoyance.
“See? You really don’t know how to handle things.”
“No matter when you agreed, you had to agree in the end, didn’t you?”
“Why waste so much time?”
“Now my hands are sore.”
Su Zhenxing was so furious that his head spun. He pointed at Su Chen, wanting to scold him, but he was at a loss for words.
Su Chen ignored his rage. He casually stretched his hand, walked to the corner of the room, picked up his phone, and tapped the screen with satisfaction.
“This phone is pretty good. The recording quality is crystal clear.”
A chill ran down Su Zhenxing’s spine.
“Su Chen… you… you recorded everything?!”
“Of course. This was a crucial moment—I had to record it.”
Su Chen smirked and shot him a mocking glance, completely unimpressed by his shock.
Su Zhenxing’s face turned deathly grim. He hadn’t intended to transfer the shares at all. He had been planning to go back on his word. But now, Su Chen had recorded everything.
It wasn’t that he feared Su Chen exposing his dishonesty—after all, as his father, he could always brush it off as a family matter. What truly scared him was the thought of the recording getting out—proof that he had suspected his daughters weren’t his own.
If that went public, he would become a laughingstock.
People would mock him for being cuckolded, for raising someone else’s daughters for years without realizing it. His reputation would be utterly ruined.
Grinding his teeth, he forced himself to compliment Su Chen.
“Well done, Su Chen. You’re quite the schemer now.”
“Alright. Since you’re so capable, and soon to be the second-largest shareholder in Su Corporation after me…”
“You’ll start your internship at the company the day after tomorrow with Su Mu.”
You think I’ll just go because you tell me to?
Su Chen had intended to refuse immediately.
But then he realized—if he didn’t go, Su Mu would likely follow the same path as in his past life, gathering high-level executives under his influence.
The refusal that had been on the tip of Su Chen’s tongue turned into a dismissive wave of his hand.
“Fine, fine. I got it.”
“No need to be so loud. We’re not deaf.”
“Now leave. I need to rest.”
Su Zhenxing was so furious at Su Chen’s attitude that he nearly exploded. His hands clenched into fists, but in the end, he just glared at Su Chen and stomped back to his room in anger.
As he walked, he silently calculated—once Su Chen started working at Su Corporation, he had to find ways to exhaust and frustrate him, make him suffer, and teach him how hard it was to run a company. That way, Su Chen would learn to respect his father.
Meanwhile, Su Lili and Su Qiqi had already helped each other up and quietly slipped away, pressing against the walls as they moved.
Despite their injured hips and aching joints, they tiptoed out of Su Chen’s room like cats, making sure not to make a sound.
No one noticed their departure.
Just as no one noticed that Su Mu had been standing outside the door, watching everything unfold.
He hadn’t come to plead for Su Lili and Su Qiqi’s lives.
He had come hoping to witness Su Chen throwing them out the window.
But when he saw their father agree to transfer shares, and Su Chen let them go, all the hope in Su Mu’s eyes disappeared—replaced by resentment, fury, and deep unwillingness.
The day after tomorrow, he would gather his allies.
He would make sure Su Chen humiliated himself at Su Corporation.
He would make everyone in the company understand—Su Chen was completely unfit to lead.
