Chapter 82: Are You Sure You Want to Choose Me Next?

“I can’t fight anymore, please let me go!”

The Spirit Ape’s brow furrowed deeply, and its face turned gloomy.

“What nonsense are you spouting? The battle has just begun. You don’t intend to end it so easily, do you? Come, let’s continue!”

Xiao Yu shook his head desperately, completely devoid of the previous vigor he had shown.

The entire place fell silent. Xiao Yu was one of the strongest among them, yet even he could only be ruthlessly beaten by the Spirit Ape. How could they possibly stand a chance?

Each person wore the look of utter despair. Their eyes were filled with hopelessness.

The Spirit Ape watched their expressions excitedly, feeling immense pleasure.

But this was not enough.

With a wave of its hand, it created a barrier, trapping everyone inside. It wanted to see them sink even deeper into despair.

“Since he doesn’t want to fight anymore, then you come!”

The Spirit Ape reached out to another person without giving him a chance to refuse, wrapping him in spiritual energy and dragging him forward.

That man’s face instantly turned pale. He was only at mid Foundation Establishment Realm and had come here merely to try his luck. How could he have the strength to fight against a Nascent Soul Realm powerhouse?

“I… I can’t!”

Tears streamed down the man’s face, but the Spirit Ape didn’t care, dragging him forward to fight.

A loud “BOOM” resounded, like thunder crashing down. Before the man could even mentally prepare himself, the little monkey under the Spirit Ape’s control viciously kicked him.

The kick was powerful beyond imagination, as if it carried the weight of a mountain, imbued with overwhelming spiritual energy that distorted the surrounding air.

The ground trembled, dust flew up, and the scene turned chaotic.

The man who was kicked flew backward like a broken kite, spitting blood from his mouth as his face turned deathly pale.

“Again!”

The Spirit Ape was clearly very excited. It pointed not only at the cultivator in front of it but also at Xiao Yu.

“This time, you two come together!”

The faces of both men changed drastically, filled with terror.

Only now did they deeply realize that they had no power to resist the little monkey.

At this point, how could they not know that everything Bai Ying had said earlier was true?

The little monkey was clearly the Spirit Ape’s true form!

It had transformed itself into an inconspicuous strand of hair, just to cruelly toy with them.

The Spirit Ape was a true sadist, reveling in their suffering.

If this continued, they would surely die!

These two had initially thought about trying to prevent a war, but now, facing the real threat of death, their only thought was to survive!

Xiao Yu reacted first, immediately channeling all his strength to flee at top speed.

The other cultivator followed closely behind without hesitation.

However, they hadn’t expected that after flying only a few meters, they would crash into an invisible wall.

“BOOM!”

With a loud crash, they were both violently thrown back.

The Spirit Ape looked at the two fallen men and burst into unrestrained laughter.

“You really thought you could escape? I’ve already sealed this place with a barrier. None of you can leave! Either come and fight me willingly, or I’ll drag you over myself. Choose!”

The moment these words fell, everyone’s expressions changed as if they had been plunged into an icy hell.

Their faces lost all color, looking ashen and hopeless.

Some still harbored a sliver of hope to escape, but now, even that was crushed.

The Spirit Ape had sealed off everything. They were like ants trapped in a cage, with no hope of escape.

Despair and fear filled everyone’s hearts. Some could no longer bear the pressure and broke down crying.

Their tears streamed like floods, their cries echoing through the air.

Some collapsed to the ground, pounding the earth in despair, screaming, “Why is this happening? We don’t want to die here!”

Others sat in place, their eyes hollow, letting tears fall freely, as if their souls had been drained away.

The entire scene was miserable, and the heavy despair pressed down like dark clouds, making it hard to breathe.

The Spirit Ape became even more delighted watching them like this.

It slowly pointed its finger toward Yang Yu. That finger seemed like the grim reaper’s decree, full of endless coldness and cruelty.

In its eyes shone a sadistic pleasure, as if it was savoring the tragedy about to unfold.

“Come, you’re next,” it said coldly, its voice as biting as a frigid wind cutting through their hearts.

Yang Yu was so terrified that he collapsed on the ground.

His legs lost all strength, and he couldn’t even stand.

Fear flooded over him, leaving him pale as a sheet, his eyes filled with despair and helplessness.

Yet, the Spirit Ape showed no mercy.

With a casual wave of its hand, a raging ball of fire shot toward Yang Yu.

“AHHH!”

A scream full of pain and terror shattered the silence.

Yang Yu rolled frantically on the ground, trying to extinguish the flames consuming his body.

His skin burned bright red, his clothes charred, and the smell of scorched flesh filled the air.

The sight was horrifying, suffocating the entire atmosphere with sorrow and hopelessness.

It was pure slaughter, a naked display of cruelty.

They were all going to die here!

Everyone present seemed to fall into an endless abyss.

Among the crowd, only Bai Ying’s face remained emotionless, as if everything happening had nothing to do with her.

The Spirit Ape stared at her with great interest, puzzled by her reaction.

“You’re next!”

Everyone around was consumed by fear, but only Bai Ying calmly looked at the Spirit Ape and said,

“Are you sure you want to choose me next?”
