Chapter 3: Guess Who She Will Take Sides With?

Su Qinghuan’s face turned pale, her voice trembling. “Do you have to speak in such a sarcastic way?”

Her eyes burned with anger, her chest rising and falling. “You’re a grown man, yet you nitpick over everything all day. If you had even half of Gu Yunshen’s composure, you wouldn’t be this useless!”

Qin Chuan let out a cold laugh, frost gathering in his eyes. “I’m useless? Without me, do you think you could have brought the Su Group back from the brink?”

He suddenly stepped closer, his voice low but each word cutting like a blade. “And you two are innocent? Do you even believe that yourself?”

Su Qinghuan’s pupils shrank as she exploded in anger. “What do you mean? Say it clearly right now!”

Her expression darkened. Qin Chuan was clearly accusing her of cheating. It was outrageous.

Qin Chuan waved his hand, cutting her off. “You know exactly what you did last night.”

Last night, she had been calling Gu Yunshen’s name while they were together. And today, the two of them were already acting like this. Truly impatient.

Su Qinghuan trembled with rage. She could not understand why Qin Chuan, who had always been gentle and obedient, had suddenly become so defiant.

Su Qinghuan’s voice suddenly rose. “Qin Chuan, the way you are right now disgusts me!”

“I, Su Qinghuan, have always acted with integrity. I’m completely innocent. What right do you have to slander me?”

“Get down on your knees and apologize right now, or this won’t end here!”

Qin Chuan’s eyes darkened. It felt as though a blade had stabbed into his chest. So in Su Qinghuan’s eyes, he had always been the one making trouble?

Gu Yunshen secretly rejoiced, though his face gradually filled with guilt. “Qinghuan, Mr. Qin, please stop arguing.”

“Maybe I came at the wrong time. It’s all my fault. I’ll leave now.”

With that, he turned to go.

“You’re not allowed to leave!” Su Qinghuan blurted out instinctively. “This is my home. He doesn’t have the right to make you leave!”

Gu Yunshen stopped, a deep glint flashing in his eyes. “Mr. Qin, you’ve really misunderstood Qinghuan and me.”

“You should just kneel and apologize to her. I’ll put in a good word for you, and Qinghuan will forgive you.”

Qin Chuan frowned, feeling a wave of disgust. Gu Yunshen was truly a master manipulator.

Suppressing his revulsion, he turned to Su Qinghuan. “Su Qinghuan, do you know what day it is today?”

A trace of confusion flashed in her eyes. “What day? Isn’t it just an ordinary day? Don’t change the subject. You must apologize today!”

“Alright, Qinghuan, don’t be angry. I’m a man. Let me talk to Mr. Qin. Go get some rest.” Gu Yunshen patted her shoulder.

Su Qinghuan glared at Qin Chuan before turning to prepare a guest room for Gu Yunshen.

After Su Qinghuan left, a teasing glint appeared in Gu Yunshen’s eyes. “Mr. Qin, you seem very angry.”

Mockery filled his gaze, brimming with provocation.

Facing his taunt, Qin Chuan’s eyes were as deep and cold as ice. “Are you deliberately trying to provoke me?”

“Provoke me so I’ll hit you.”

“Then you can cry in front of Su Qinghuan, play the victim, make her feel sorry for you, and deepen the conflict between me and her?”

Gu Yunshen’s expression changed slightly. He had not expected Qin Chuan to see through him so clearly.

Gu Yunshen gave a strange smile, then stumbled and fell to the ground. His expensive suit was instantly in disarray.

Qin Chuan lowered his gaze. Pain overflowed from his eyes. It felt as though his heart was being torn apart.

“Then let me disappoint you even more!”

He stepped forward, pulled Su Qinghuan aside, and kicked Gu Yunshen hard in the head.

Caught off guard, Gu Yunshen slammed into the table. Blood instantly flowed from his forehead as he cried out.

Su Qinghuan screamed, “Qin Chuan, what are you doing?!”

She rushed forward to push him, but Qin Chuan grabbed her wrist in one swift motion.

“Su Qinghuan, I’ll let you see clearly,” his voice was as cold as ice, “this is what it looks like when I hit him.”
