Chapter 24: Get Up in the Morning with the Cat Around! The Mysterious Boss Is Too Strong!:

She was as light as air, her soft little paws pressing gently on Lu Fei’s stomach. It felt surprisingly comfortable. However, Lu Fei’s brow twitched, and he opened his eyes. 

“What’s wrong?” he asked, still a little dazed.

Xu Yan looked at his groggy face and felt an immense satisfaction. Dog man, you have your turn today! Get up! She bounced up and down cheerfully, her tail wagging excitedly. 

She was overjoyed.

Lu Fei pressed down on her belly to quiet her. 

“What’s the matter? Do you need to go to the toilet?” he asked, still half-asleep. Carrying her, he walked out and placed her next to the cat litter. “Meow,” he muttered.

Xu Yan stood by him, refusing to use the litter box. She did feel a slight urge to pee, but there was no rush. She would deal with it after turning back into a human.

Still groggy, Lu Fei brought the litter box and the cat back into the room, locking the door behind him. “I’m going back to sleep,” he murmured, lying down again.

Xu Yan jumped onto the bed, ready to pounce, but paused. She lay quietly beside him, deciding to let him sleep for five more minutes.

Five minutes later, just as Lu Fei dozed off again, Xu Yan leaped onto his stomach, landing skillfully. Dog man, wake up! Lu Fei opened his eyes once more, looked at the cat on his stomach, and grabbed her. “Sleep together,” he said.

Xu Yan tried to resist, but Lu Fei pressed her chin down skillfully. She rolled over and broke free, but before she could celebrate, Lu Fei pulled the air-conditioning quilt over her, wrapping her tightly with only her head sticking out. Xu Yan tried to struggle, but Lu Fei gently pressed the quilt down and patted her head.

After a few futile struggles, she gave up. The dog man’s reflexes were too quick. Lying under the quilt, Xu Yan felt a bit depressed. Happiness was too short-lived.

At half past seven in the morning, Lu Fei woke up, reaching out to touch the cat’s fluffy fur. The feeling of resistance told him the cat was still there. Opening his eyes, he glanced at her and smiled, “Good morning.”

Xu Yan’s ears twitched, but she ignored him. Lu Fei released her from the quilt. “Get up, another day of work.” Breakfast was still milk and eggs.

After eating, Lu Fei took a shower and fed Xu Yan some milk. This time, Xu Yan didn’t resist much and started drinking. She figured it was pointless to resist, so she might as well let the dog man feed her quickly and get it over with. Procrastination was just a waste of time.

At 8 o’clock, Lu Fei left the house. Xu Yan cautiously waited ten minutes before turning back into a human. “Quick, clean up. Dog man, don’t come back suddenly,” she muttered.

If Lu Fei came back and saw her at home, it would be hard to explain. Xu Yan put away the cat food and poured some water into the bathroom. After cleaning up, she put on two pieces of Lu Fei’s clothes, returned to the next-door apartment, changed into her own clothes, tied her hair into a ponytail, and finally breathed a sigh of relief. “Put the clothes back. It’s time to go to work.”

Calmly, Xu Yan opened Lu Fei’s door and hung the clothes back on the hanger as if she were in her own home. Then, she picked up her phone and left. By half past nine, she arrived at the company.

Chen Yu greeted her, “CEO Xu, all the documents that need your attention are here.”

“Give them to me.”

“Yes, CEO Xu.”

“By the way, inform the directors to gather for a meeting. I found a stock worth investing in.”

“Understood.”

While Chen Yu went to notify them, Xu Yan quickly started handling the work. She had to be back home by four in the afternoon.

The directors were surprised. “Kelan Pharmaceuticals? Will it rise?”

“How much do you predict it will rise?”

“Eight percent.”

“It’s the person behind you again who provided this information?” someone asked.

“Yes.”

The directors quickly made calls to inquire about it, gathering bits and pieces of information. There was no significant positive news reported.

“Isn’t 200 million yuan a bit too much?” Li Hong asked cautiously.

Hou Jianjun nodded. “I trust the person backing CEO Xu, but the stock market is unpredictable.”

Xu Yan replied indifferently, “Two hundred million, I’ll take responsibility for any losses.” Although the dog man did things that weren’t human, when it came to investing, she trusted Lu Fei completely. Even if they lost, it was no big deal. At most, she wouldn’t let Lu Fei sleep peacefully and could even put cat litter and place her paw next to his mouth.

“Alright, we’ll do as you say,” the directors agreed.

After the purchase, the directors were ready to return to work. Financial investment was a long game; one or two months wasn’t long, a year or two was normal.

But just as they stood up, Director Zhao Yang received urgent news. “Didn’t you just ask me about Kexing Pharmaceuticals?”

“Yes.”

“Hurry and buy it! I just got word they built a small factory in the northwest. This factory is receiving large orders from Europe, and the volume is significant! There’s also technical cooperation!”

Zhao Yang was shocked and quickly told Xu Yan, “CEO Xu, there is new information.”
