Chapter 26: Mr. Xu, You Looked At Your Phone And Laughed For More Than 20 Seconds! Tang Shufang Sent Someone To Follow!

Liu Wen said, “Wow, it’s rare to see Brother Fei complimenting someone.”

Zhou Song added, “Indeed.”

Lu Fei explained, “The main reason is that this person is truly outstanding, with strong analytical abilities.”

Analyzing the fluctuations of Kelan Pharmaceuticals was quite challenging, and Lu Fei understood this better than anyone. That was why he praised the person a little.

Just then, Xu Yan’s other phone lit up. It was the one linked to her alternate account. She hesitated for a moment, glanced at the document with her beautiful eyes, and ignored the message. She told herself she shouldn’t keep thinking about that dog man. 

Zheng Yiyi had misunderstood; she had no other thoughts about him. She was only focused on making money. Work came first, and she didn’t want to overthink it.

But after three seconds, Xu Yan scratched her hair irritably, picked up the phone, and glanced at the message. It was from Lu Fei. She quickly saw his words of praise and was stunned for a moment. Good grief, he was praising her. 

She smirked and typed, “Silly dog.” Then she added, “Have you ever been kept in the dark?” She felt relieved, thinking about how Lu Fei still knew nothing. 

Her mood instantly improved. 

Watching that dog man suffer setbacks made her even happier than making money herself.

“CEO Xu?” Chen Yu’s voice suddenly interrupted her as she read the message.

Xu Yan quickly put down the phone and asked, “When did you come in?”

“When you were staring at your phone and laughing.”

“I was laughing?”

“Yes, it’s been more than twenty seconds since I came in, and you were still smiling.”

“…” Xu Yan cleared her throat, changing the subject. “Is there something urgent?” 

Even Chen Yu, her personal secretary, would only come in directly if it was an emergency.

Chen Yu nodded. “There is a major client who wants us to represent them. The deal is worth around two billion.”

That was big business. Xu Yan nodded. “I understand.”

Chen Yu placed the client information on Xu Yan’s desk, then turned and left. Once she was gone, Xu Yan picked up her phone again.

Her brain told her, “Don’t read the dog’s message!” But her hand disagreed, “No, you want to see it.” 

She glanced at the screen a few times, seeing that Lu Fei hadn’t sent any more messages. 

She put down the phone and muttered, “Work and make money.”

Finally calming herself, she returned to her work.

By three-thirty in the afternoon, Xu Yan had finished her tasks for the day and stretched. 

Zheng Yiyi sent her a message, “Can we have dinner together tonight?” 

Xu Yan ignored it. 

Tang Shufang also sent a message, “Still no time today?” 

Xu Yan replied, “I still don’t have time tonight. I’ll go back for lunch tomorrow?” 

Tang Shufang responded, “How long will you be busy?” 

Xu Yan froze when she saw the message. 

Right, how long was she going to stay at Lu Fei’s place?

Xu Yan typed “Soon” in the chat box but deleted it after typing. 

She eventually sent, “It should be a while.”

After sending the message, Xu Yan tried to convince herself. 

After all, the dog man had helped her make so much money. She couldn’t just take hundreds of millions in profits without giving anything back. It was purely to repay him, nothing else. 

There was absolutely no possibility of things developing as Zheng Yiyi suspected. 

She had her principles and would never get involved with a dog man in that way. As for how long she would stay, it would depend on the dog’s performance. 

When she couldn’t tolerate him anymore, she would kick him out and send him off, maybe even hold a party to celebrate. But for now, she would continue staying there.

Tang Shufang sent another message, “You really haven’t fallen in love?”

Xu Yan replied expressionlessly, “Doing business with a man doesn’t mean you have to fall in love. You and Yiyi have a problem with your thinking.”

Tang Shufang said, “If you really get into a relationship, tell me. Our family has no other requirements, as long as the young man is good.”

Xu Yan responded, “Then you would be even more disappointed. The partner I’m dealing with now has no experience in relationships.”

Tang Shufang frowned, “Yan Yan, then you shouldn’t have too much contact with such people.”

Xu Yan answered, “Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing.”

Tang Shufang replied, “Okay.”

After a few more exchanges, Xu Yan packed her things and left the company. 

As she drove away, a car quietly followed her. 

Xu Yan didn’t notice. She drove all the way to Yujing Mansion. 

The person following her stopped after confirming the location. The man in the car made a call, “Ms. Tang, I’ve found her. CEO Xu has arrived at a community called Yujing Haoting. Should I continue following her?”

Tang Shufang thought for a moment and said, “No, that’s enough.” As long as Xu Yan wasn’t going to some suspicious place, that was fine. 

After ending the call, the man stopped following her and left.

Tang Shufang held her phone, feeling a little strange. 

Doing business in such a place? 

Why did it feel more like Xu Yan was living there? 

“No, I’ll find some time to go and check out this community myself. At least I’ll know the way. If anything happens, I can bring someone to help.” Tang Shufang made up her mind. She would definitely find a chance to check it out.

At five p.m., Lu Fei stood up on time, went downstairs, and drove home. There was a bit of traffic on the road, but Lu Fei listened to music in the car and wasn’t in a hurry. At six twelve, Lu Fei arrived home. 

As he opened the door, he happily said, “Xiao Hua, I’m back!”

Xu Yan glanced at him indifferently and continued lying on the sofa, pretending to sleep. Lu Fei changed his shoes, walked over, rubbed her head, and teased, “Your master is back. Why don’t you come greet him? Come on, let me take a breath!”
