The Ten Heroines are Insane! - Chapter 109:
Chapter 109: It’s Not Your Turn to Touch My Woman Yet!:
Nalan Qing still remembered the two words her sister, Nalan Yun’er, had said to her earlier when she left her room: “shop.”
Though she didn’t fully understand what her sister was planning, she decided to go out and shop. Additionally, she was tasked with bringing their annoying cousin back from Tianhai City.
Despite Nalan Qing’s confusion, she trusted her sister deeply, so she resolved to focus on those two words.
To her surprise, Xu Ze accepted her bold invitation to join her.
“Miss, are you and the Holy Son going out?”
As they headed to the front hall, Nalan Qing and Xu Ze walking together immediately caught everyone’s attention.
People glanced over, recalling the intimate moment between the Holy Son and Nalan Qing from dinner the night before. Their gazes carried a hint of curiosity and gossip.
“Don’t they look like a perfect match?” someone whispered.
“Our lady is so cute and beautiful, and even standing next to the Holy Son, they make quite the pair.”
Hearing these remarks, Nalan Qing’s face turned red. She stole a glance at Xu Ze, but his expression remained calm, indifferent, his eyes focused straight ahead.
Her heart sank in disappointment.
As they reached the front yard of the Nalan Mansion, the teleportation array suddenly lit up with a dazzling glow. A shadowy figure emerged from the portal.
Nalan Qing glanced at the figure, not particularly interested, until a voice called out from within the teleportation array, “Cousin Qing’er!”
Her face instantly darkened, and a wave of disgust washed over her.
Xu Ze turned to see who had spoken, spotting a man striding confidently toward them.
It was Nalan Cheng, the young master of the Nalan family.
Xu Ze recognized him after a moment of thought.
In 《Emperor of Heaven and Earth》, Nalan Cheng was just a mindless minor villain from the “Nalan Merchant Guild Chapter.”
His character was so dim-witted that even Xu Ze had once remarked, “The author must have lost his mind to write such a ridiculous character.”
Later in the novel, the original protagonist, Ye Fan, encountered Nalan Cheng at the Nalan Merchant Guild while he was up to no good. With a simple display of power, Ye Fan slapped him down, and that moment set the stage for Ye Fan’s rise and eventual clash with the Nalan Merchant Guild.
But right now, Ye Fan, the original protagonist, was nowhere to be found, likely still in training. As a result, this cannon fodder character could still parade around.
Nalan Cheng ignored Xu Ze entirely, directing his greedy gaze on Nalan Qing instead.
“Cousin Qing’er, it’s been months, but you’ve become even more beautiful.” He said with a lecherous grin.
Nalan Qing’s face twisted in disgust. She frowned and snapped, “Nalan Cheng, I didn’t call you back just so I could be repulsed by your presence. Get out of my sight!”
Nalan Cheng was momentarily taken aback, but quickly recovered, flashing a flattering smile.
“Cousin, don’t be like that. It’s been so long since we’ve seen each other. You don’t know how much I’ve missed you.”
He reached out his greasy hand, aiming to touch hers.
Xu Ze’s eyes turned cold, and Nalan Cheng froze. It felt as though a deadly aura had pierced his heart, and his outstretched hand halted mid-air.
Nalan Qing noticed his sudden hesitation. A flicker of joy flashed in her eyes as she looked toward Xu Ze.
But Xu Ze’s expression remained calm and indifferent, though a glimmer of coldness was evident in his eyes.
Good.
In fact, Xu Ze did feel a surge of killing intent at that moment.
Despite everything Nalan Qing had done for money in this life, she was still his woman.
Disciplining her was his business, but who was this Nalan Cheng to dare covet what was his?
If not for the many eyes watching them, Xu Ze would have dealt with this fool personally and ended his life on the spot.
“What are you staring at?!” Nalan Cheng shouted, trying to muster some courage, but the cold stare from Xu Ze made him uneasy.
Despite the aura of power surrounding Xu Ze, Nalan Cheng, boosted by his status as the young master of the Nalan family, forced himself to act tough. He swallowed nervously but managed to say, “I… I’m warning you, this is Nalan Mansion! Cousin, let’s go!” He reached out again to grab Nalan Qing’s hand.
Swoosh!
Before Nalan Cheng could even touch her, his hand was severed in mid-air, blood spurting from the wrist.
Nalan Cheng stared in shock at his dismembered hand before screaming in agony.
“Ahhhh! My hand! My hand!”
Xu Ze looked coldly at Nalan Cheng, who was writhing on the ground, clutching his bleeding wrist.
Without a word, Xu Ze took Nalan Qing’s hand in his own. His voice was cold, chilling everyone to their core.
“It’s not your turn to touch my woman. Understand?”
The courtyard fell into a deathly silence, except for Nalan Cheng’s pitiful screams echoing in the air.
Xu Ze took a deep breath, suddenly realizing that he had overreacted.
Getting so worked up over such a brainless character felt unlike his usually composed self.
But perhaps it wasn’t such a bad thing.
At least now, no one else would dare covet his woman.
“Let’s go.” He said, turning to leave.
As he took a few steps, he noticed something strange about Nalan Qing.
She was staring at him with wide eyes, tears streaming down, her cheeks flushed pink, a shy expression on her face.
“Holy Son… you… what did you just say?” she asked softly.
“Huh? What did I say?” Xu Ze frowned in confusion.
But then it hit him—he had just said something reckless in his anger.
Closing his eyes briefly, he took a moment to collect himself, then glanced at her again.
“Didn’t you want to go shopping? Let’s go.” He said, avoiding the topic.
“Yes!” Nalan Qing nodded eagerly and hugged his arm.
Xu Ze sighed internally but said nothing as they walked off together.
Watching the eldest lady and the Holy Son leave, everyone in the Nalan Mansion was left in shock.
They knew that once news of this incident spread, the entire Qiankun Continent would be shaken.
No one would dare challenge them for dominance in the Nalan Merchant Guild.
