The Villain Plundered the Children of Destiny’s Luck - Chapter 30:
Chapter 30: Bastard, I’ll Remember You
“Ga ga ga ga!” A shrill laugh echoed through the street. “Only realizing it now? Don’t you think it’s too late?”
Dressed in white, Yun Zhongjun suddenly rushed out, slapping fiercely at one of the Innate Realm guards. His palm was wreathed with threads of black qi, the sight alone enough to make one’s scalp go numb.
“Who are you? How dare you strike at my Nalan Family’s men? Do you not value your life?” the guard shouted in shock. He tried to circulate his true essence to fight back, but it spun wildly out of control inside his body. He could only watch helplessly as Yun Zhongjun’s palm closed in, finally slamming onto his head. With a sickening crack, the man’s skull burst like a watermelon, spraying red and white across the street.
“Thief, how dare you!” The other Innate Realm guard’s eyes widened in rage and disbelief. His companion had just been killed with a single slap.
“What’s there to fear? The one who kills you is Yun Zhongjun. Don’t forget it in the underworld.” Yun Zhongjun laughed harshly. He knew the Nalan Family was powerful, far beyond what he could normally provoke, but to break into the Spiritual Power Realm, he would dare even the heavens themselves.
With another vicious palm strike, he launched himself at the second guard.
“Damn it!” The guard desperately forced his dwindling true essence, raising his blade across his chest to block.
BOOM!
A thunderous crash rang out. The guard was hurled back, smashing into a wall. His chest caved in, blood gushed from his mouth, and after a few convulsions, he lay still.
With the two Innate Realm leaders slain, Yun Zhongjun turned his gaze on the dozen remaining guards. His eyes gleamed with cruelty.
“The commanders are dead, run!” The Postnatal Realm guards, terrified beyond belief, turned and fled.
“Run? None of you are leaving!” Yun Zhongjun sneered. His body blurred like a ghost as he chased them down. Moments later, more than a dozen corpses littered the ground.
“Beauty, here I come!” Yun Zhongjun tilted his head toward the carriage and rushed forward impatiently. He flung the door open.
But the instant he did, a streak of white light shot out at him. His face paled, and he quickly gathered qi to his chest in defense.
BOOM!
The blast sent him flying across the street.
“Argh! That hurts like hell!” Yun Zhongjun screamed as he rolled along the ground before finally staggering to his feet. His once-white robe was shredded, revealing a silver-gray inner armor beneath. It was this armor that had saved his life.
“Damned thing! I almost died there,” he muttered through clenched teeth. If that strike had hit his head, not his chest, even the armor wouldn’t have saved him.
Inside the carriage, Nalan Feiyan’s beautiful face paled with despair. She had spent so long preparing that ambush, yet it hadn’t been enough. She knew Yun Zhongjun’s reputation well—an infamous lecher from neighboring Qiguang Prefecture. Any woman who fell into his hands met a tragic fate. And now he had come to Tianyang Prefecture, targeting her.
She wanted to flee, but the poison in her body left her unable to circulate her qi. Running was impossible.
“I am the fiancée of the Yue Family’s second young master from Qianshan City! If you dare touch me, the Yue Family will never let you live!” she shouted coldly.
“Hahaha! What damned Yue Family? Even if the gods themselves descended, I wouldn’t fear them. You’ve already been poisoned by me. You can’t run. Obey me, girl!” Yun Zhongjun sneered, striding toward her, his hand reaching out.
“Get lost!”
Before his hand could touch her, an icy voice rang out. Qin Xiao suddenly appeared beside him and struck his chest with a palm, blasting him away in a spray of blood.
He had deliberately held back. Killing Yun Zhongjun outright didn’t serve his plan—he wanted the man to take the blame. A small lesson was enough for now.
Qin Xiao then wrapped his arm around Nalan Feiyan’s waist and tossed a smoke bomb to the ground.
BOOM!
Smoke engulfed the street in an instant.
“Bastard! Who are you to launch a sneak attack?” Yun Zhongjun shouted angrily, scrambling up from the ground, trying to charge at Qin Xiao, but the thick smoke blocked his sight.
“Damn it! Coward! If you have guts, don’t run!” His curses echoed as he charged blindly through the haze.
“Scoundrel! Don’t let me learn who you are. I’ll remember this!” Yun Zhongjun stomped the ground furiously, raging and swearing for a long while before finally retreating.
Not long after he left, townsfolk drawn by the commotion began arriving.
“Hiss! What happened here? Those look like Nalan Family guards.”
“Who has the audacity to strike against them?”
“Isn’t that Zhao Qing, the Nalan Family’s guard commander? To think he would die here in the city!”
People gathered around, whispering in shock. Tianyang City hadn’t seen an incident this huge in years. An entire Nalan Family escort slaughtered—it was like tearing a hole in the sky.
“Who dares touch the Nalan Family’s men?” A cold, authoritative voice cut through the crowd. Nalan Qingshan, a Spiritual Power Realm powerhouse of the Nalan Family, had arrived.
“Where is Feiyan?” he demanded sharply. For him, the dead guards were of little consequence. But Nalan Feiyan, whose engagement to the Yue Family of Qianshan City was crucial to their clan, was irreplaceable.
“Third Grandmaster, Miss Feiyan… is missing,” a clan member said nervously.
“What? Useless trash!” Nalan Qingshan roared in fury. To lose someone so important within their own territory was a disgrace beyond measure.
“Are there any clues?”
“Third Grandmaster… these guards were killed with the Skyflower Poison Plum Palm. That martial art is only known to the lecher Yun Zhongjun from Qiguang Prefecture,” the clansman said cautiously, swallowing hard. If Feiyan had fallen into that man’s hands, her fate was surely grim.
“Damn it! Lock down the entire city! Search everywhere! Feiyan must not come to harm!” Nalan Qingshan’s terrifying aura burst out, making everyone present tremble.
“Yes! Yes!” The Nalan clansmen scattered immediately, launching a full-scale hunt for Yun Zhongjun across Tianyang City.
