To Save Your White Moonlight, You Harmed My Mother. I Ask for a Divorce, So Why Are You Crying? - Chapter 4:
Chapter 4: Please Marry My Daughter!
Qin Junfei didn’t keep herself hidden from the world because she was unsightly. On the contrary, she was stunning—like a goddess descended to earth. Her curvaceous figure was flawless, without an ounce of extra fat, and her skin was smooth like milk. Having just stepped out of the pool, water droplets slid down her fair, rosy skin, like a painting of a beauty stepping out of the bath.
Her assistant, Pan Min, quickly offered her a white silk bathrobe. Though it covered her graceful figure, it couldn’t conceal the charm radiating from within. The scene was so intoxicating that even Pan Min, a fellow woman, couldn’t help but swallow hard.
“It’s a shame the heavens are jealous of beauty. For someone so breathtaking, Miss had to be afflicted with such a strange illness…” Pan Min sighed deeply as the thought crossed her mind.
“Who cured him?” Qin Junfei asked.
“We’re still investigating, but we’re certain that this person isn’t from Jiang City’s medical community,” Pan Min replied, deliberately avoiding her gaze. First, because Qin Junfei’s beauty was so intense that even another beautiful woman like her didn’t dare to look directly. Second, her eyes were deep and bright like a starlit sea, making anyone who looked into them feel utterly exposed.
“Is that so…” Surprise flickered in Qin Junfei’s gaze. She knew her father’s condition—it was an aggressive and rare poison. Not a single doctor in Jiang City had a solution, and she had already given up hope. And yet, he had been cured… by an unknown man?
“Find him. I want to thank him in person.” If he lacked wealth, she would make him the richest man in the city. If he lacked political power, she would pave the way for his rise to the top.
“Miss, the Platinum Imperial Palace has officially moved into Jiang City. Are you sure you don’t want to meet them?” Pan Min cautiously asked. “And the Qin Family has arranged a marriage for their long-lost Young Master… with you.”
“Swish!” Before Pan Min could finish, Qin Junfei’s eyes turned sharp, her beautiful face frosted with coldness.
“Say what must be said. What shouldn’t be said—don’t.” Her voice was icy.
Realizing she had touched a nerve, Pan Min paled in fear and bowed repeatedly, “I’m sorry, Miss. I didn’t mean to…”
After a moment, Qin Junfei withdrew her aura, her expression softening slightly. “Handle these things for me in the future. I can’t even approach men, let alone marry…”
Feeling a bit tired, she waved her hand, and Pan Min quietly exited the room.
Now alone in the vast private residence, Qin Junfei stood in front of a massive floor-to-ceiling window. The financial district lit up behind her. Neon lights illuminated half her face, the other half lost in shadow. The city bustled below—glorious, yet lonely.
She picked up a photo of Ye Cang and stared at it. Her cold eyes carried a hint of sadness. “Ye Cang… so that’s his name…”
…
“Achoo!” Ye Cang sneezed inside the Gu Family Hospital. “Who’s talking about me?”
He turned his head to see Gu Zhenghong and thirty-six doctors staring eagerly at him. Even Kang Zhengbang, who had been hostile earlier, now looked at him with a respectful gaze.
Among doctors, one with true skill commands reverence. Who would’ve thought the discarded son-in-law of the Gu Family’s Old Director was the lost heir of the Divine Needle of the Nine Suns? If word got out, it would shake the entire medical world of the Dragon Nation.
No one was more frustrated than Gu Yuyao. She still couldn’t believe it—Ye Cang had actually cured Qin Caishen. Three years of marriage, and he had never mentioned he knew medicine. Had he been lying to her all along?
Furious, she glared at Ye Cang like he was her worst enemy.
“Make way, everyone! I want to see my savior!” A commotion echoed through the corridor.
A middle-aged man in a hospital gown came rushing in, breathless, followed closely by two flustered nurses.
“Qin Caishen?”
“Mr. Qin, you’ve just recovered! You need rest!” Gu Zhenghong, Kang Zhengbang, and the others immediately stood up in concern.
“I just want to see my savior and thank him in person,” Qin Caishen said, looking directly at Ye Cang.
BOOM!
The moment he saw Ye Cang, Qin Caishen froze, as if struck by lightning. That face—he would never forget it. He had seen it in a photo even before the Platinum Imperial Palace settled in Jiang City. No mistake—this was the Young Master the Qin Family wanted to bring home.
With a serious expression, Qin Caishen asked, “Director Gu, may I thank him privately?”
“Ah, of course…” Gu Zhenghong led Gu Yuyao, Kang Zhengbang, and the others out.
The moment the glass door shut, Qin Caishen dropped to his knees.
Everyone outside gasped.
“Young Master, thank you for saving me!” he said, bowing his head and knocking it on the floor three times.
Gu Yuyao and the others were dumbfounded. Even for saving a life, wasn’t kneeling a bit too much? Was Qin Caishen that afraid of death?
Ye Cang was stunned. “Young Master? Isn’t this our first time meeting?”
“It is, but I know the Qin Family is preparing to bring you home.” Ye Cang’s eyes lit up, “You’re from the Platinum Imperial Palace?”
“No.” Qin Caishen shook his head, “I’m not qualified. I found out your identity because of something else…”
Ye Cang’s expression suddenly shifted. He blurted, “The Qin Family arranged a wife for me?!”
“Yes! At first, I was worried that the new Young Master wouldn’t be worthy of my daughter, but now I have no concerns at all!” Grabbing Ye Cang’s hand tightly, Qin Caishen shouted, “Young Master, please marry my daughter! I’m willing to offer my entire fortune as her dowry!”
“Wait—who sells their daughter like this?!” Ye Cang struggled to free himself, unwilling from the bottom of his heart. Are you kidding? He’d just climbed out of one grave, only to be shoved into another? Marriage and love? Even dogs avoid them.
But Qin Caishen clung to him like an octopus, refusing to let go. “Young Master, please marry her! My daughter is very beautiful!”
“Yeah, right. With your face, how pretty could your daughter be?”
“Besides, I value inner beauty now.”
Qin Caishen looked like he was about to cry. “Young Master…”
“Enough! Let’s drop this. I’ll speak with the Qin Family myself.” Ye Cang finally broke free from his grasp.
Everyone outside was utterly stunned. They had never seen Qin Caishen like this. It was as if Ye Cang had given him a second life, and he was ready to worship him. But still, wasn’t this too much?
Shocking.
Qin Caishen rolled his eyes and said, “Alright, Young Master. Everyone has their own path. If you don’t want to marry my daughter, I won’t push it. But you’ve just divorced and have nowhere to go. Let me arrange a place for you to stay.”
“That works.”
Ye Cang couldn’t refuse such genuine hospitality—and he did need a new place—so he agreed.
As the two walked away, Gu Zhenghong instinctively asked, “Xiao Cang, where are you going?”
Before Ye Cang could reply, Qin Caishen said first, “I’m taking my savior to see his new home.”
“Qiao Xu!” he called.
A burly man with a buzz cut walked in. His entire body radiated explosive strength and deadly aura—clearly a seasoned warrior.
“This is my driver. He’ll take you there.”
“Please.” Qiao Xu extended his hand to Ye Cang.
As the two departed, Qin Caishen revealed a triumphant smile. From what he said, Gu Zhenghong finally pieced things together. A new home? Was this their way of announcing a separation?
His face immediately turned dark. He turned and glared at Gu Yuyao. “Go home!”
…
Qiao Xu wasn’t much of a talker. He was a good bodyguard—and a good driver. But the car stopped 100 meters before the destination.
“We’re here.” Qiao Xu pointed ahead at a towering skyscraper with 108 floors. “It’s that one. I won’t go any further.”
“Why not?” Ye Cang asked, confused.
He clearly saw a flash of fear in Qiao Xu’s eyes. Perhaps embarrassed, Qiao Xu waited a long time before squeezing out a reply, “I don’t dare.”
“You don’t dare?” Ye Cang wondered if he’d heard wrong.
This hulking man—nearly 2 meters tall—afraid to enter a building?
“Yeah…” Qiao Xu’s face turned red. “This is your Yunding access card. Go in on your own.”
He handed over the card, then floored the accelerator. The car roared away in an instant.
Ye Cang, taking in everything, grew more curious. What kind of monstrous place was this building that even a hardened warrior like Qiao Xu feared?
After a moment’s hesitation, Ye Cang walked inside.
The elevator ascended swiftly. The entire building was eerily quiet—completely deserted.
As he looked down upon the brilliant skyline of Jiang City from above, a strange feeling swelled within him. No wonder men chased wealth and power—once you had those, everything became easier.
“Ding—”
The elevator reached the 108th floor. One room immediately caught Ye Cang’s attention. Or rather, the woman inside did.
Behind a transparent glass wall, steam rose like a dreamscape. A stunning woman lounged lazily in a pool. Her figure was tall and sensual, her skin like snow—an earthly goddess.
Because her body was submerged, the gentle waves made her curves shimmer faintly, and Ye Cang could vaguely make out her full, sacred peaks…
Catching a glimpse of such beauty, Ye Cang’s expression changed instantly. He twitched and silently cursed, “That damn Qin Caishen. So shameless. Still playing the ‘golden house hides the beauty’ game…”
No doubt about it—this was all part of his setup.
But before Ye Cang could speak, the woman in the pool turned and locked eyes with him. Her gaze was icy—sharp as a blade.
Ye Cang’s entire body tensed. Now he finally understood why Qiao Xu had been so afraid. Any man would flee if faced with this kind of ice-cold beauty.
