Chapter 129: Lin Feifei Fainted, Nangong Lingyin Took Action

[Today, I also met the female lead of the cultivation arc, Nangong Lingyin.]

[I must admit, she really has that ethereal temperament.]

[In the original plot, this concert had a specific purpose—not about me, though.]

[It was when the big star Lin Feifei fainted backstage, and the protagonist Ye Chen stepped in with his medical skills to save her, earning her admiration.]

[But that’s not the point.]

[The real significance of this scene was to draw the attention of Nangong Lingyin.]

[Lin Feifei isn’t a main female lead, so she fades out soon after. This was all for the cultivation arc heroine.]

[Now that I think about it… wait—crap.]

[Ye Chen got beaten nearly to death by the flower thief!]

[He’s still lying in bed recovering!!]

End of diary entry.

Just then, Chen Shihan and Tang Xiaofu opened the car door and got in. Tang Xiaofu wore a soft pink sweater, fitted jeans, and clean white shoes. Her sweet, innocent look was through the roof.

The three of them chatted and laughed as Chen Lang drove toward the stadium in the heart of Nanjiang City.

Inside the venue, Jiang Mengyao had already secured prime seats—front-row VIP positions directly under the stage. These had been reserved by the Jiang family’s company.

When Chen Lang and the girls arrived, they joined the others, forming a stunning sight. Seven gorgeous women sat beside the lone man, Chen Lang. From Xiao Mingyue to Bai Luobing, Nangong Lingyin, and even Tang Xiaofu—each one was a beauty of rare caliber.

As expected, they drew attention.

A passing young man, caught off guard by the breathtaking lineup, tripped over a wire and face-planted dramatically.

After sitting down, Cheng Jinjin passed around snacks—potato chips, sour plums, and a big tub of popcorn. She must’ve bought them on the way. Everyone nibbled and chatted as they waited for the show to begin.

Thanks to heavy advertising in recent weeks, this concert had drawn massive attention. The stadium was packed, not a single empty seat in sight. Even before the show began, the crowd chanted “Lin Feifei” in unison.

Finally, after a brilliant light display, a spotlight hit the stage. The platform rose, revealing Lin Feifei in a beam of dazzling light. The crowd erupted with cheers and whistles.

Music blared—the concert officially began.

Lin Feifei started strong. Her stage presence and ability to command the audience was top-tier. The fans went wild with every song. Everyone was caught up in the excitement.

Well… not everyone.

The girls in the front row were a little distracted. After all, they had read Chen Lang’s diary. They already knew Lin Feifei would faint halfway through. That knowledge made it hard to focus. Their gazes often drifted to Lin Feifei, eyes filled with worry.

Ironically, the one who had the least interest in the concert—Chen Lang—was the most enthusiastic. At some point, he even got hold of a glow stick and was now waving it excitedly, humming along to the music. He seemed completely immersed in the atmosphere, oblivious to the looming danger.

The girls could only sigh.

Sure enough, midway through the concert, as Lin Feifei finished a set and descended via the stage lift to change outfits, she staggered. The audience didn’t notice anything odd, but those watching closely—especially Jiang Mengyao and the others—sensed something was wrong.

Moments later, a Jiang company staff member rushed over to Jiang Mengyao and whispered urgently.

“Lin Feifei fainted backstage. The emergency medical team is out of ideas. Her agent is asking for help.”

Since Lin Feifei was here primarily for their endorsement deal, the agent naturally turned to the Jiang family for help.

The entire group stood and rushed backstage.

In the dressing room behind the stage, Lin Feifei lay unconscious across several chairs pushed together into a makeshift bed. Her agent, a plump middle-aged woman, was panicking, pacing in circles. When she saw Jiang Mengyao and the others arrive, she ran over as if seeing her saviors.

“Director Jiang, please help! Feifei fainted as soon as she stepped off stage…”

She trailed off, confused by the scene behind Jiang Mengyao.

Of course, she recognized Chen Lang. As the largest shareholder of the Jiang family company, his presence wasn’t surprising.

But the seven stunning women following him? That was unexpected.

She had thought Lin Feifei was already a top-tier beauty, but some of these girls… might even outshine her. Especially the one in the colorful, ancient-style outfit.

Who is that? She looks like she stepped right out of a painting…

Everyone could see that just moments ago, the radiant star who dazzled on stage was now lying unconscious. Lin Feifei’s brows were furrowed slightly, as though she was in pain.

Faced with the situation, Jiang Mengyao instinctively turned to look at Chen Lang.

Chen Lang thought to himself, I could probably treat her… but my role doesn’t allow it. I’d have no way to explain why I suddenly know medicine.

So, he remained silent.

Jiang Mengyao pulled out her phone and said to the anxious agent, “Don’t worry. I’ll contact Nanjiang’s top medical experts right away…”

Just then, Nangong Lingyin stepped forward.

“I’ll give it a try. I’ve learned some medical skills,” she said calmly.

Everyone’s eyes lit up.

They knew Nangong Lingyin had descended from the Yunquan Sect and was a respected master of ancient martial arts. Naturally, they placed their trust in her without hesitation.

Although the agent had her doubts—after all, Nangong Lingyin looked so young—she didn’t dare question it aloud in such a situation.

Chen Lang was a bit surprised. In the original novel, it was Ye Chen who had stepped up and offered to help, only to be mocked by Lin Feifei’s agent for bluffing and risking delay in treatment. But after Ye Chen cured her, he gained massive face.

Now, unexpectedly, that entire segment had been rewritten. Nangong Lingyin was the one stepping forward, and the scolding from the fat agent never happened.

Nangong Lingyin gently placed her hand on Lin Feifei’s abdomen, and slowly pushed upward along the spine.

To onlookers, this resembled a massage. But Chen Lang could tell—Nangong Lingyin was sending internal force into Lin Feifei, replenishing her depleted vitality and nurturing her organs with spiritual energy.

The anxious agent babbled as she watched, “It was so sudden. She was fine earlier. Nothing like this has ever happened before. Wait… I think something like this happened a few years ago…”

Before she could finish, Lin Feifei coughed weakly and opened her eyes.

“Wh-what happened to me…?”

Supported gently by the others, Lin Feifei sat up slowly, rubbing her temple. Her voice was faint and she looked drained.

Seeing her boss awake, the round agent was overjoyed and bowed twice to Nangong Lingyin in gratitude. Then she quickly ran out of the dressing room and began shouting to the staff.

“Quick! Get on stage and announce there’s a technical issue. Circuit repairs or whatever—just stabilize the audience!”

Her commands were rapid and precise, clearly showing years of experience managing crises.

Lin Feifei, understanding what had happened, weakly thanked Nangong Lingyin.

Meanwhile, Chen Lang quietly walked forward and gently took Lin Feifei’s wrist, checking her pulse with a calm expression.
