Chapter 130: Nangong Lingyin Breakthrough! Is Chen Lang Going to Sing on Stage?

Her illness was described as congenital in the novel, recurring every few years.

Today, it was supposedly cured by Ye Chen. Nangong Lingyin had used her internal force to awaken her, but it was clear there was no true cure. Chen Lang decided to help her instead, aiming to resolve the issue completely, which also matched the final outcome in the novel.

Besides, if Nangong Lingyin were the one to save her, his medical skills wouldn’t need to be revealed. The chubby agent had arranged a delay on stage to buy time.

Returning to the dressing room, they saw a man holding Lin Feifei’s wrist.

The agent instantly became furious.

Where did this man come from?

Feifei was clearly very weak, and yet he shamelessly took advantage of her. She assumed it was a crazed male fan who had somehow snuck in. As she approached and opened her mouth to scold him, she caught a glimpse of his face—it was Chen Lang.

The words caught in her throat and she swallowed them immediately.

After all, Chen Lang’s reputation as the national husband was no less than Lin Feifei’s, and he was also a major shareholder of the partner company. Since her boss Lin Feifei wasn’t speaking, she naturally didn’t dare to speak first.

Lin Feifei herself was also confused. A man had suddenly grabbed her wrist, but after seeing it was Chen Lang, she lowered her head slightly and didn’t say anything. Suddenly, she felt a warm current flowing from Chen Lang’s palm, coursing through her meridians and converging at her heart. A surge of powerful energy poured into her body. Her furrowed brows gradually relaxed, and she felt much better.

Chen Lang was guiding his internal force into her body and healing the root cause of her illness using the techniques of Chi You medicine. But at this moment, the one most shocked was Nangong Lingyin, who stood beside them. She stared blankly upward, completely stunned and unable to believe what she was sensing.

Because just as Chen Lang activated his internal force… she broke through!

The instant his internal energy rotated, she seemed to hear the roar of a tsunami. It felt like two magnetic fields were interacting. The inner force within her body began to move uncontrollably. The cultivation realm barrier that had stood like a giant boulder in her path suddenly began to shake, and cracks spread across it until it completely shattered.

With a loud “BOOM” in her body, the sound of a breakthrough echoed within her. She had stepped into a new level. A grander world of cultivation slowly unfolded before her eyes.

Even after Chen Lang finished healing and casually let go of Lin Feifei’s wrist, Nangong Lingyin was still standing there in disbelief.

The surging power within her body confirmed she had truly stepped into a new realm. The long-standing obstacle that had plagued her for so long had been resolved by just one pass of Chen Lang’s inner force?

Could it really be that easy?

Nangong Lingyin felt it was incredibly miraculous. Her entire understanding of ancient martial arts was shaken because of Chen Lang.

On the other side, Lin Feifei felt significantly better. Though still weak, the pain was completely gone. She looked at Chen Lang with curiosity, wondering if it had something to do with him. But then, a new issue emerged.

The agent rushed over, “Feifei, what about the stage? Should I go out and announce there’s an emergency and that the concert will end early?”

Lin Feifei waved her hand and tried to stand up. “No, this concert has been promoted for a long time. We’re only halfway through. It can’t be ended so suddenly.”

“Besides, this concert is tied to the cooperation with Jiang Dong…” This concert had been negotiated in advance. It was a promotional event to build hype around Lin Feifei and to use that momentum to launch the Jiang family’s facial mask advertisement. If the concert was messed up, it would definitely affect the upcoming endorsement deal with the Jiang family.

The agent looked anxious, “But Feifei, you’re definitely not in a state to go on stage! I’m really not comfortable letting you…”

Lin Feifei took a deep breath, “I think I can hold on…”

At that moment, Jiang Mengyao stepped forward with a calm and authoritative tone, “It’s fine! Feifei, the advertising cooperation can be postponed. Your health is what matters most.”

Lin Feifei didn’t want to give up and tried to evaluate her condition. Suddenly, she noticed a figure behind the crowd and looked a bit surprised. She pointed toward Tang Xiaofu, “You’re the girl who’s dating your daughter? The top campus beauty from NTU?”

Everyone’s eyes turned to Tang Xiaofu. Tang Xiaofu replied nervously, “Ah, hello, I’m Tang Xiaofu!”

Despite her weakness, Lin Feifei’s voice carried a hint of surprise, “Xiaofu, it’s really you! I’ve listened to your new album so many times! I love your voice!”

“I was actually thinking of adding you as a friend to chat, and I didn’t expect to run into you here like this.”

Then she suddenly remembered something, “Xiaofu, can you do me a favor and sing two songs for me on stage? Any songs from your album will do. It’ll give me some time to rest.”

Lin Feifei and her agent looked at Tang Xiaofu like two drowning people who had just spotted a lifeline, eyes full of hope.

Tang Xiaofu pointed to herself in disbelief. “You want me to go on that stage and sing?”

This was a moment shaped by completely different perspectives. For Lin Feifei, standing under dazzling stage lights, singing before tens of thousands of fans, was as ordinary as having a meal. It was second nature. She naturally assumed that Tang Xiaofu—who had released multiple songs in an album and even topped the hot charts—would find singing on stage just as easy.

But for Tang Xiaofu, that wasn’t the case at all.

She had never experienced anything like this before. The only time she’d performed on stage was during a school celebration—and that was in front of only a few hundred people. A concert of this scale, with a massive audience and enormous pressure, was something completely different. The atmosphere, the expectation—it was overwhelming.

Tang Xiaofu looked at the hopeful faces of Lin Feifei and her agent, stunned by their trust. She also knew this concert was tied to the promotion of the Jiang family’s facial mask brand—and that Chen Lang was a major shareholder in that brand. That connection alone made her hesitate.

As everyone stared at her, waiting for her response, the pressure mounted.

Just then, Chen Shihan stepped forward and stood protectively in front of Tang Xiaofu like a little tiger. As Chen Lang’s sister, she had no obligation to show deference to Lin Feifei. With a sharp voice, she objected, “Are you two serious? We’re here as audience members to enjoy the concert, not to perform in it! You expect her to get on stage without any preparation? Besides, Xiaofu is still a student—how could she have any experience performing in front of such a massive crowd?”

Lin Feifei suddenly realized her mistake. Because of Tang Xiaofu’s impressive album, she had forgotten that Xiaofu was still just a student. A wave of guilt washed over her, and her expression turned apologetic. “Sorry… I was asking too much.”

But before she could say anything more, Tang Xiaofu tugged gently on Chen Shihan’s sleeve. “Shihan, I want to try.”

She had already made up her mind.

For the sake of Chen Lang’s facial mask brand, even if the pressure was immense, she wanted to step onto that stage. She wanted Chen Lang to see—she, Tang Xiaofu, could be of help to him too.

Chen Lang was surprised. In the book, Tang Xiaofu had always been a quiet and reserved girl who hated being in the spotlight. Her decision today defied everything he thought he knew about her.

Tang Xiaofu turned to Lin Feifei. “Sister Lin, if I mess up, you’re not allowed to blame me!”

Lin Feifei’s voice was weak but full of conviction. “Xiaofu, just sing with confidence. No matter how it turns out, I’ll only ever be grateful to you.”

With that, the decision was final.

The chubby manager immediately rushed off to find the sound engineer and arrange for a last-minute track change.

All of a sudden, the weight of expectation fell on Tang Xiaofu’s shoulders. She had come just to watch a concert with Chen Shihan, and now she was about to perform in it.

She clenched her small fists in front of her chest, quietly psyching herself up. Xiaofu, you can do this. Show Chen Lang your worth!

At that moment, Chen Lang could clearly feel her nervousness. He suddenly cleared his throat and said casually, “Cough, actually… I sing pretty well too.”
