Villain: You Want Me to Follow the Plot and Die? I’m Done Pretending - Chapter 59:
Chapter 59: Let’s Talk About a Plan:
“You’ve done a great job, Xiao Liu!”
Gu Feng patted Xiao Liu’s head and, with one arm, lifted her up as he walked back into the courtyard. After a decade, Gu Feng noticed the place was well-kept, and he could tell it was the work of his father, Gu Yansheng.
Before they even stepped in, Xiao Liu wrinkled her nose and covered it.
“Brother Bai is here.”
“Alright, you go play outside.” Gu Feng said, setting her down.
Inside, he saw Liu Zonglin and Liu Fengqing seated at the square table, with his father across from them. When Gu Yansheng noticed his son enter, his face lit up with joy. However, he kept his composure, merely nodding. “Feng’er, your master and grandmaster have something to discuss with you, so I’ll go tend to the medicine field.”
“Alright,” Gu Feng replied, taking the seat his father vacated. He noticed Bai Yuxiao slumped weakly in a corner of the room.
“Master, Grandmaster, have some tea.” Gu Feng poured tea for them both before they could start talking. “In fact, I have something I’d like to discuss with you as well.”
Liu Zonglin paused, looking down at the tea in his hand. “Go ahead.”
“You’re aware of the Snow Clan, right?”
Liu Zonglin’s hand trembled slightly. “I know a little about them. Have you… encountered them?”
“I saw them in the secret realm last time. We discussed a potential partnership.” Gu Feng didn’t intend to hide anything; his task from the Heavenly Dao was clear: dismantle the elaborate framework that propped up this world. With his system, he could infiltrate circles that the Heavenly Dao itself couldn’t directly touch.
If he succeeded, the Heavenly Dao would grant him some of the world’s primordial essence, which might be enough for him to find a way back to the other world. Thus, the first thing on his mind after waking up was to expand the Zhengyuan Sect. Operating as a sect would be much more efficient than handling it all alone.
“Partnership?” Liu Zonglin put down his cup, intrigued. “Do you mean trading with them?”
The Snow Clan was known for trading goods from other worlds—items rare enough that even in the higher realms, they were hard to come by.
“No, not quite,” Gu Feng clarified. “We’ve arranged for travel rights across the first tier realms. They can grant passage for up to eight people to another world. So, my idea is simple: let’s take the Zhengyuan Sect to all the 72 of the first-tier realms.”
The teacup slipped from Liu Zonglin’s hand, shattering on the floor. Nobody paid attention to the spilled tea, as everyone was focused on Gu Feng’s plan. First-tier realm travel rights… If this actually worked, the Zhengyuan Sect would be transformed from a minor sect into a powerhouse!
“Excellent. You have full authority to manage everything. The elders and resources are at your disposal.” Liu Zonglin said finally, nodding.
After the previous tribulation, Liu Zonglin had accepted that he wouldn’t reach the next level. With Gu Feng ready to expand the sect, he had no reason to object. As Liu Fengqing and Liu Fengyi had noted, the sect would eventually be Gu Feng’s to lead.
When Liu Zonglin and Liu Fengqing departed, Gu Feng turned his attention to the weakened Bai Yuxiao.
Sensing his Senior Brother’s gaze, Bai Yuxiao flinched. “Senior Brother…”
“You’ve got some nerve calling me that.” Gu Feng approached him, raising a hand and pressing it to the back of Bai Yuxiao’s neck. “Getting tricked, and then thanking the person who deceived you?”
At the back of Bai Yuxiao’s neck, Gu Feng noticed a small hole, from which a thin strand of hair began to emerge. As Gu Feng applied more power, the embedded strand emitted a painful scream. “Still not coming out?”
He summoned intense Yang energy into his palm, heating it until a wisp of fire danced over his hand. Bai Yuxiao’s entire body shivered, and a thick strand of black hair crawled out, accompanied by a shrill, agonized cry.
Once free of Bai Yuxiao, the object revealed itself: a girl’s face hidden within a bundle of hair, her eyes brimming with malice.
“If I’d woken up any later, this thing would’ve taken over your body.”
Bai Yuxiao shuddered in disgust, frowning at the creature Gu Feng held in his palm. “But, Senior Brother, I never sensed anything. When did it get inside me?”
“Something you might want to ask Ye Xiaoyi about.” Gu Feng ignited the parasite in his hand, the fire consuming it until nothing remained but ashes. Creating a creature like this required imprisoning the Nascent Soul of a powerful cultivator and refining it into something akin to a poisonous worm—a method both vicious and extremely difficult to execute.
With the nuisance dealt with, Gu Feng’s mind turned to more pressing matters. It was time to begin mobilizing the Zhengyuan Sect. He had a new journey in mind, and this time, he was determined to bring the sect along with him to the other realms, where they could thrive and expand their influence.
