Chapter 64: There Are No More Chances for Other Heroines to Be Flirtatious!:

Chen Shihan, standing in front of him, still had the same indifferent expression.

It had been a long time since he last saw her, and her figure seemed to have improved. Although her curves weren’t as pronounced as Cheng Jinjin’s, her shorter height balanced everything out, keeping her proportions perfect.

With Chen’s father and mother both possessing excellent genes, they were both strikingly good-looking in their youth.

Chen Lang’s facial features were a perfect blend of both parents, making him exceptionally attractive. Even though Chen Shihan wasn’t their biological daughter, her appearance also followed the “Chen family rhythm” — her cold expression couldn’t hide her delicate features.

Chen Lang still remembered that, when they were children, his sister had many admirers. But now, Chen Lang knew that Chen Shihan was destined to be one of the future heroines. After she fell in love with Ye Chen, she would eventually discover that she wasn’t biologically related to the Chen family. This realization would push her toward “justice,” where she would help Ye Chen do many things against him.

But that part was a story for later.

“No way, you’re already picking a fight with me the moment we meet?” Chen Lang stepped out of the car, smiled, and opened his arms wide. “Dear sister, it’s been so long. Aren’t you going to give your brother a hug?”

Chen Shihan rolled her eyes. “Get lost!” she snapped as she opened the car door and climbed into the passenger seat.

Chen Lang stood there, embracing the loneliness, but it wasn’t unexpected.

He got into the driver’s seat, started his sports car, and drove out of Nanjiang Airport, heading straight for the Imperial Palace Villa.

“Hey, Shihan, didn’t you just graduate? Why are you back so early?” Chen Lang asked.

“Finished my credits, so I graduated early.” she responded.

“Oh, and what’s next?”

“When Nanjiang University starts, I’ll be continuing my graduate studies there.”

“Ah, tough life.”

Chen Shihan had returned a bit earlier than in the original novel, but her path remained unchanged.

“Why else do you think I came to Nanjiang? To see you? Don’t be ridiculous!” She scoffed.

“Hehe, that’s fair. Maybe don’t say it out loud next time, though.” Chen Lang chuckled.

“I heard you got married?”

“Yeah, the wedding was just yesterday. You didn’t even attend your brother’s wedding. Isn’t that a bit too much?”

Chen Shihan casually pulled out her sunglasses from her bag and put them on, just like Chen Lang. The wind from the convertible tousled her hair.

Hearing this, she smirked dismissively, “What kind of blind woman would marry you?”

Chen Lang smiled wryly. His little sister’s words were sharp enough to cut. He’d have to find a way to humble her later.

The rest of the drive was mostly quiet, but Chen Lang couldn’t shake the feeling that Chen Shihan, hidden behind her sunglasses, kept glancing at him with a mischievous gleam in her eyes. He felt uneasy, like she was planning something.

“Look at me, don’t I look even more handsome than before?” Chen Lang teased.

Chen Shihan pouted and turned to gaze out the window. However, in the reflection of the rearview mirror, her gaze softened as she watched Chen Lang’s profile in the driver’s seat.

“Chen Lang, finally… we meet again.” She murmured in her heart.

Right now, Chen Shihan carried a secret, one that only she knew.

No, not Chen Shihan! In fact, her soul wasn’t Chen Shihan’s! Ever since she came across Chen Lang’s villain diary, memories from her previous life had slowly begun to resurface. It all came flooding back — everything from before. Her soul didn’t belong to this world but was that of the heroine from Chen Lang’s previous world!

After reading Chen Lang’s diary, she finally understood the reasoning behind many of his actions in their past life. Everything he did was for the sake of playing the villain and fulfilling the so-called plot!

In their previous life, they were never able to be together, even though she had already fallen for him. She kept her feelings hidden, restrained by her pride, always waiting for him to confess. She had been longing for Chen Lang to tell her, “I love you.” But unfortunately, instead of a confession, she was given a farewell.

Chen Lang had killed the protagonist of that world with one swift strike, causing a thunderous downfall. At that last moment, she had rushed into the lightning without hesitation and followed him into this new world.

For Chen Lang, she had even taken the time to read up on online novels and learned that this might be what they called “soul transmigration.” And, as fate would have it, she now inhabited the body of Chen Lang’s sister.

What made her happiest, however, was that they weren’t related by blood. The original owner of this body had secretly investigated it, which explained why she had always kept a bit of distance from Chen Lang.

Through the plot in the diary, she could also deduce that other heroines might have similar diaries. But unlike them, they didn’t stand a chance!

In their past life, she and Chen Lang’s unrequited love had ended in tragedy. Now that the heavens had given her a second chance, she wouldn’t let history repeat itself!

Using her role as his sister, she could live openly with Chen Lang under the same roof. Being close by was her strategy.

With careful planning, she would make sure that no other heroine could get close to him!

The corner of Chen Shihan’s lips curled into a smile. Before she returned, she had already set her plan in motion. She wouldn’t rush into things — being reckless would only ruin everything. If Chen Lang caught on to anything, he might purposely distance himself to follow the plot!

She had to move quietly, building a subtle web around Chen Lang until they could live together peacefully. If she played her cards right, there would be no room left for other flirtatious heroines!

Soon, they arrived at the villa. After putting the luggage in the first-floor lobby, Chen Lang gave her a tour of the villa. When they reached the third floor, they passed by a room with a closed door. Chen Lang casually pointed it out.

“That’s your sister-in-law, Xiao Mingyue’s room. Just skip this room and go to the next one.” Chen Lang said casually.

But Chen Shihan pushed open the door and walked right in. She wandered around, inspecting the room, and nodded in satisfaction.

“This one’s perfect! I’ll take it!” she declared.

“What? This is your sister-in-law’s room,” Chen Lang responded, confused. “The location is good, the light is great, and it’s already tidy. Isn’t it obvious this room was prepared for me?” Chen Shihan said matter-of-factly.

“Don’t be ridiculous. This is your sister-in-law’s bedroom. They just moved in yesterday. Are you really going to take it over?”

Chen Shihan raised an eyebrow. “Since she’s my sister-in-law, shouldn’t she stay in the same room as you?”

“Ah, well…” Chen Lang stammered.

“And let me ask you this — is this villa under the Chen family or the Xiao family? If it’s under the Chen family, I can stay in whatever room I choose because this is my house!” Chen Shihan said confidently.

She wasn’t wrong. Chen Lang had to admit she had a point. Then a thought popped into his mind. If Xiao Mingyue found out her room was taken, she’d definitely refuse to stay here again.

And that would be perfect!

This could give him the excuse he needed to divorce her later, and then, just like in the plot, the plotline would progress smoothly with Xiao Mingyue’s blackening. It was an ideal setup.

“Alright then, Shihan. If you want this room, it’s yours. After all, you’re my dearest sister!” Chen Lang said, smiling. “Let me get your luggage.”

As he spoke, he noticed that Chen Shihan’s hand had reached out for the pajamas neatly folded on the headboard. Those were the very pajamas Xiao Mingyue had worn yesterday, which had gotten torn up during one of their ‘acts.’

Before she left, Xiao Mingyue had folded them neatly on the bed.

“Hey, wait!” Chen Lang tried to stop her, but it was too late.

Chen Shihan had already unfolded the pajamas and glanced at them, then turned her gaze to Chen Lang, eyes wide with shock.

“I’m staying here. Will that be a problem for you?” she asked.

…

Later that evening, in the basement of the Imperial Palace Villa.

A room had been converted into a gym. Fitness equipment surrounded the area, and in the center was an open space covered with thin but soft mats, ideal for activities like yoga.

Chen Shihan, now dressed in a jiu-jitsu uniform, knelt on the mat with a serious expression. Across from her, Chen Lang sat looking tired and resigned — clearly a sparring partner forced into the role.

“Let’s start,” Chen Shihan said, her voice calm but determined. Then, without warning, she pounced like a little tiger, grabbing hold of Chen Lang and starting to perform various jiu-jitsu techniques on him.

This kind of training had been a habit for the two siblings since childhood. Growing up in a family like the Chen family meant learning more than just academics. They also trained in physical disciplines like boxing, karate, and jiu-jitsu, to build their fitness, strengthen their willpower, and for self-defense.

Of course, these sessions often turned into one-sided beatings for Chen Lang, who frequently found himself being used as a punching bag by his younger sister. After all, as the older brother, he always let her win.

After a few swift exchanges, Chen Shihan twisted gracefully, landing behind Chen Lang. Her legs coiled around his neck like pythons, crossing tightly behind his head, while her hand grabbed one of his arms. She had him locked in a perfect jiu-jitsu triangle hold.

Without hesitation, Chen Lang tapped out by slapping the mat.

Chen Shihan released him, looking at him with disdain. “I haven’t seen you for a few years, and you’ve gotten this weak? Haven’t you been keeping up with your training?”

Chen Lang rubbed his sore shoulder. “I’m not as young as I used to be.” He muttered.

“Train harder! I don’t want to waste time sparring with someone this weak. If you stay this soft, you don’t deserve to be my partner.”

Chen Lang rolled his eyes. “When are you ever going to act like a lady? If you keep being this violent, you’ll never get married.”

Ignoring him completely, Chen Shihan adjusted her uniform and charged at him again.

Chen Lang held back his strength, making sure not to activate the Chi You fighting body technique, which would’ve been too dangerous for Shihan. He settled into his role as the practice dummy.

If it had been anyone else, this kind of close physical contact during jiu-jitsu would’ve felt awkward. But it didn’t matter with his sister. He was used to her love of tormenting him like this.

Before long, she found another opening, slipping behind him once again. Her arms wrapped around his neck, elbows pressing against his chin, while her hands locked behind his head, completing a perfect chokehold.

Chen Lang tapped out once more, this time with no choice but to submit.

As she let him go, Chen Shihan stood behind him.

What he couldn’t see were the emotions swirling in her eyes. The usual coldness was gone, replaced by something much deeper and more complicated.

At the airport earlier, when Chen Lang had opened his arms to her, she had felt a powerful urge to run into them and pour out her long-buried feelings. But she couldn’t. There was no justification for such an embrace, so this jiu-jitsu sparring would have to suffice. If she couldn’t express her feelings directly, then she would get close to him in another way.
