Chapter 24: Brother Changju, Now You Belong to Me, Hahaha…

The moonlight was bright, illuminating the night. A young woman in purple sat at the edge of a cliff, gazing at the vast starry sky, completely immersed in its boundless beauty. Her eyes were distant and unfocused, carrying a hint of melancholy.

Suddenly, her brows arched. She sensed several auras quickly approaching. Her slender fingers brushed against the jade pendant at her waist, the reflection of the Big Dipper shining in her amber eyes. From the southwest, faint spiritual fluctuations spread. She turned sharply and asked, “Who?”

A gust of strong wind swept past, lifting her robe and scattering her long hair. She said, “Come out.” At that instant, the Ziying Sword in its sheath hummed, and four figures emerged from the shadows of the pine forest.

The leading cultivator’s black-iron bracer struck the green rock, producing a metallic clang that startled several owls into flight. He said, “The Black Armored Guards follow the Patriarch’s order, here to escort the Young Miss back to the sect.”

“Five cultivators at the Hundred Convergence Realm?” Su Miaomiao crushed a half-broken pine branch beneath her toes, her cloud-pattern shoes casting shadows at the cliff’s edge. She scoffed, “When did the three thousand stone steps of our Radiant Jade Sword Sect turn into a perilous lair of demons?”

“Greetings to the Young Miss!” The four men knelt at once, their posture extremely humble. The leading man bowed and said respectfully, “We follow the Patriarch’s command to ensure the Young Miss’s safety.”

Su Miaomiao waved impatiently, “Why bother with such trouble? I’m not a child anymore!” Returning to the sect was nothing special, yet her father had sent five elders at the Hundred Convergence Realm to protect her. It was ridiculous.

The man kept his head lowered, saying reverently, “Please don’t refuse, Young Miss. The Patriarch said your safety is of utmost importance and must not be taken lightly.”

Su Miaomiao frowned. She was willful, but not foolish. If her father gave such an order, there had to be another reason. Otherwise, he would never send so many people to follow her.

She said coldly, “Within the Radiant Jade Sword Sect, servants and guards are forbidden. Even my Second Senior Sister, who is a princess of an ancient nation, abides by this rule. How could I dare break it? Speak! Did my father assign you another mission as well?” Her sharp gaze locked onto the man’s eyes.

His heart skipped, and he forced a bitter smile. “As expected, nothing can escape the Young Miss’s sharp eyes. We… indeed have another mission.”

Su Miaomiao’s expression turned stern, her aura sharp. “What mission? Speak!”

“Yes!” The man did not dare delay. He quickly reported, “The Patriarch fears that since the Young Miss rashly broke off the engagement with Young Master Li, he may become displeased and retaliate. Therefore, he ordered us to secretly protect you in the sect!”

Su Miaomiao’s face darkened. “Has Father gone mad? If Master finds out I’ve broken her rule, she’ll definitely expel me from the sect!” She felt gloomy and frustrated.

The man remained silent with his head lowered.

“Forget it, this matter is not your concern anymore. I’ll return to the sect overnight. If you dare to follow me, don’t blame me for being ruthless!” After leaving those harsh words, she leapt into the air and flew toward the vast mountains.

Before long, she entered the Radiant Jade Sword Sect and reached the territory of Jade Peak.

“That figure just now… was Second Senior Sister?” Su Miaomiao frowned as she saw a red silhouette streak across the night like a meteor, vanishing into the clouds. She blinked in confusion. Wasn’t that the direction of her fiancé Li Changju’s cave residence? What business did Second Senior Sister have at his place in the middle of the night? Could it be…

The more she thought about it, the more possible it seemed. She pressed her lips tightly, her steps quickening as she rushed toward Li Changju’s cave.

…

Unimpeded, Xiao Hongyan soon arrived outside Li Changju’s cave. She raised her hand, about to knock.

“Crack—” The door suddenly opened.

“He hasn’t even activated his defensive array?” Xiao Hongyan paused, then revealed a trace of delight. “Perfect, I can give him a surprise! Hehehe…” Since Li Changju hadn’t set up restrictions, she could enter silently. Sure enough, she easily pushed the door open.

Inside, the cave was dark except for one lit bedroom. Following the glow, Xiao Hongyan walked toward it.

“Senior Sister… don’t do this…” A rustling sound came from inside, accompanied by Li Changju’s faint voice.

Her face flushed red, her heart racing wildly. That voice sounded exactly like when she had threatened Li Changju that night. Could it be that he secretly recorded it with a Memory Stone, only to enjoy it in private when no one was around?

Her face grew even redder. “He really should be more cautious. What if Senior Sister saw this? At least he should have activated the arrays before watching!” she muttered angrily, though her steps quickened involuntarily.

Soon, she arrived at the door, only to freeze in shock.

Inside, Li Changju and Bai Shuyue’s lips had just touched in front of her eyes.

Xiao Hongyan’s pupils widened. In that instant, her mind went blank, buzzing with nothing but the sight before her. She stood frozen, staring at them in disbelief.

“Ah!” Xiao Hongyan screamed. First two eyes met, then four, and finally six pairs of eyes locked together.

Li Changju and Bai Shuyue quickly separated, their faces pale.

“Senior Sister…” Li Changju opened his mouth, wanting to explain.

But Xiao Hongyan covered her ears and ran out, tears streaming down her face as she cried, “You actually betrayed me… I hate you to death!”

Li Changju stood stunned for a long while. Bai Shuyue was also frozen, shocked at how things had escalated. Seeing Li Changju’s bewildered and anxious expression, guilt surged within her. She stepped forward, gently tugged at his sleeve, and said, “Junior Brother, I’m sorry.” Then she let go and fled in panic, leaving Li Changju standing alone in chaos.

He collapsed onto the bed, rubbing his temples. “Good heavens, what a mess… what is this even?” With a sigh, he lay back down, utterly drained.

But just then, purple smoke filled the air. Li Changju’s eyelids grew heavy as drowsiness overwhelmed him. The smoke swirled, gradually forming the figure of a woman in purple.

Her graceful figure shimmered like moonlight. Her skin was flawless, her features exquisite as though sculpted by the heavens. Especially her peach blossom eyes, which were filled with tenderness, as if they could draw a soul inside. She walked slowly toward Li Changju, her soft laughter echoing by his ear. “Brother Changju…”

Her voice was like an ethereal melody, striking the softest chord in his heart. She leaned forward, pressing her delicate body against his, and her lips found his.

Warmth spread instantly. Li Changju’s pupils dilated.

“Brother Changju, now you belong to me, Hahaha…”

…

“Damn it! A nightmare?”

The next morning, Li Changju awoke drenched in cold sweat. He muttered, “Last night I dreamt that I was nearly drained dry by a woman in purple…” Shaking his head, he forced the thought away.

Just then, a warm hand caressed his cheek. He turned in shock to see a young woman in purple leaning against the bedpost, smiling softly. “Brother Changju, was the woman in purple you dreamed of me?”

Li Changju leapt away in fright, glaring. “What the hell, who are you?”

The woman tilted her head, her expression charming. “Brother Changju, you don’t recognize me? It’s me!” She smiled sweetly and said, “I’m Old Sixth!”
